Simeon is the most professional and kindest person I've met in a long time. My situation was a complicated one, but he made sure our AC was fixed and we had cool air running thru the house once again before the heat really cranks up! Walker Air Plumbing and Electric does our yearly maintenance for our heating and cooling. They are always on time and super professional as well as detail oriented. They send a full report of everything that was checked during each visit as well as change out the filter for us. Highly recommend this company. Nathan and all the other guys we have had in our home are absolutely amazing.

When this was under Bigbear, sevice was great, people were friendly and didn't try to upsell. I used Bigbear on many occasions and found them helpful every single time. Recently, Walker bought them and had my first service through Walker today.. Unfortunately my experience was complete opposite.. trying to upsell , nickle and dime for every minute they're onsite is not something I expected. Anyway, I paid their $89 fee to visit and didn't get any service done.. onto finding another trustworty hvac repair compnay.

Great experience with Walker Heating & Air. Yubenal looked at the connections on the AC unit and determined it wasn’t getting power & figured out the root cause ( faulty breaker) in a short time, which is commendable. We had a poor experience with another service provider who incorrectly diagnosed it to be a thermostat issue. Walker was very professional in communications, quick assignment and follow ups. Their fee was higher than we anticipated. Glad to have our AC back on!

Billy Diaz was very professional and informative, helping me learn how my system worked, as well as what the issues were and different ways to address. This led me to be able to make an informed decision about how to address the issue and Billy performed the repair with exemplary results. Will use again when needed.

Dom was one of the most professional and courteous young men we have ever had come to our home. He took the time to explain everything in detail, what he was doing and why and made us feel very comfortable with him and what he was doing. Used to be very good, but it's clear that ownership has changed and things have really gone downhill. I've had them come out to 2 different houses over the past 3 months. The first time was full of misdiagnosed issues (went for a couple hundred $ to many thousands), not having the right parts, constantly having to call them for updates on parts, service, etc., and not getting called back when when they promised. No one ever really owned the issue and it kept getting passed to someone else. I asked to speak with a manager several times, but never got a call. I believe they contract with an answering service, so it's hard to ever really get in touch with someone from the actual company. It ended up taking almost 3 weeks with 4+ house calls to get resolution. I made the mistake of then using them again for another home. Quickly diagnosed as a "failing capacitor", replaced it for $200+. The unit wouldn't come on, so they said an electrician would need to check wiring behind the breaker to resolve. They also sent me a $20k invoice for a new unit, if I chose to pursue that route later on. Electrician came out (at cost to me of course) to find no issues with wiring or breaker. But he was nice enough to check the A/C unit and find that the compressor was grounding out and tripping the breaker (usually meaning compressor is blown). I've used Big Bear (Diel) for 10+ years and have always praised their service, but I won't be calling the new Big Bear back again.

I was initially sceptical when the technician recommended a complete AC system replacement. However, we had so many issues with our current system cooling during the summer months that we decided to give it a shot. Our previous system was a hodge podge of various replacement parts and fixes done over the last 12 years. Our new system is an American Standard (Trane brand) and it works great so far! If we set it on a certain temperature, it will actually get to that temperature within a matter of minutes rather than hours like our old system. We'll see how this upcoming brutal Dallas summer plays out, but so far so good.
