Horrible service. I explained to the owner I had an oil boiler that was not working. The red light for low water was on the control panel. The owner came out to my home when my heat was not working, unplugged a wire and plugged it back in. The boiler kicked back on. I had heat again. The red light for low water was still on and he said that was fine. I was trusting he knew what he was doing. A month later the red light was still on but I thought it was fine since that’s what I was told by Bob. Sunday I had no heat again and the red light for low water was still on. I called Bob and he almost came back out to my home again until in our conversation I was explaining the parts of my boiler and he had no idea what I was talking about. It came up that he doesn’t do work on oil boilers!! So why did he ever come out to my home if he is not familiar with my system? Meanwhile Monday I had a service technician who IS familiar with oil boilers and he explained that it’s really bad the red light for low water was on! He explained to me that without enough water in the system the inside wall can get too hot and crack! So my system shutting down was a safety mechanism. Now my system works because a technician who knew the system fixed the low water problem and got it running again. R E Coogan called me asking why I haven’t paid for the service they provided- this is why. Don’t say you can help when it’s not your area of expertise! You had no place tending an oil boiler.
The staff and technicians from Coogan were amazing. They responded quickly and diagnosed my downstairs AC problem and within 20 minutes, gave me a few options with pricing to solve it. This was all done with an eye to providing me with a unit which will work well into the future. They also addressed the noise associated with an upstairs unit and cut in bigger returns. So thankful for a quieter AC near the bedrooms! And they cleaned up after themselves! We will use Coogan AC for all of our work!

Bob Coogan is an awesome guy and really cares about his clients. I hired him to add to an existing air conditioning system. There was a snag during the job but Bob didn't wait one second, he jumped on the problem and before I knew it the job was done perfectly. I'm a carpenter and I've worked side by side with him and his crew in the field and I've see the quality of his company's work. That's why I hired them to do my job. They are second to none! All of his employees are great guy's to get along with. They go out of their way to make the job right the first time. HIRE THEM! You won't be let down.
Robert (Bob) Coogan made an emergency call to my home after I lost heat in the house. Before he even arrived, he inquired if he could bring a few of his own heaters to not only keep me comfortable, but also to keep the pipes from freezing in the basement. He came promptly when he said he would, though it was holiday time and he was with his family. He examined the cause of the burning odor coming from the cellar, and determined it was faulty wiring in the boiler assembly that had caught fire.
Although the boiler’s initial installer did not hook up the electrical components correctly, Bob ordered the proper parts and corrected the individual’s mistakes. There aren’t many people who would operate on a furnace that someone else installed improperly but Bob had the confidence and knowledge to do so. He answered all my questions and explained what he was doing to prevent an incident like this from happening again. He was considerate and courteous, as was the help he brought with him to work on the furnace. Everything was left completely clean when the job was finished. I highly recommend him for his professionalism and high standards to anyone needing a reliable plumbing and heating company!
Called at 10 am to fix a broken condensate pump on my AC mid 95 degree heat wave on a friday. Bob wedged me into his busy schedule and was out here by noon, and my AC is working great. gave me several tips about other parts of the system beyond the repair.

Just called to have someone evaluate cooling system. It isn't working well. Might need a new one. Lady who answered the phone stressed several times that the charge would be $175 MINIMUM, over and over again. Told me that charge would be to evaluate the problem. System is very old, probably needs to be changed. They obviously don't need new business. She also told me to ask my husband first and get back to them!!!@
