Making an appointment was very easy, unfortunately with my work schedule, the holiday and the rain I had to reschedule twice which they were very accommodating. Mike let me know when he was headed over. He checked out each part of the AC and luckily he had the part to fix it. He was maybe here about an hour! Very quick and very personable. The whole process was seamless and personal. And my dogs liked him too!
We were referred to Mike & Compass HVAC, and could not be happier with his service, expertise and consideration. Having dealt with many service providers, Mike is truly one of the best. He was extremely responsive on a Saturday, updated us when he was 36 minutes away, quickly diagnosed the problem and committed to keeping the costs down as much as possible. Happy to give hm our business and refer him to others. You won't be disappointed.
On time, in fact a little early. Informed us throughout what was the problem and how they would correct it. Very professional and will not hesitate to call again in the future.

Compass did an amazing job on my Mitsubishi ductless AC units. I had no idea how bad they were, all I knew was that they weren't cooling very well. Tyler came by and did a deep cleaning, got rid of mold, all my units are working great now. I'm going to have this deep cleaning done every year. Worth every penny.
Compass installed the ductless mini split system in our basement. Mike and his whole team were great to work with throughout. The system is fantastic and my then cold basement is now the warmest room in the house. The system is sleek, quiet and different areas controlled independently via thermostat. Highly recommend both the system and Compass Heating and Air! You won't regret it!
Our heat went out on a day with negative temperatures. I called and they squeezed us in within the hour. Once they figured out what was wrong they got the part and fixed it same day! Tyler was professional, knowledagble, friendly and very helpful! Thank you!

5 stars is not enough! I highly recommend Compass Heating and Air! They are very knowledgable and professional. They serviced both our air unit and furnace. I purchase the one year service and they send me a friendly reminder to book my appointment, when I forget (LOVE IT). Tyler was our technician today and explained in detail everything he did at our visit. I really appreciate that they left the area clean and vacuumed. He even put shoe covers on when he arrived in our house.

Joe from Compass Heating and Air came out to perform a tune up on our furnace for the winter. It was smooth, quick, and affordable! Joe gave me a rundown of everything we needed to take care of to keep our furnace around for as long as possible. We will be setting up an appointment for the spring for our AC tune up next.
I don't usually write reviews, but I have been so pleased with Compass Heating and Air and the service I have received from them - especially their service technician Joe - that I just had to write one. We've had Joe out three times now for either troubleshooting heating issues or routine maintenance (we have gone to specifically requesting Joe for everything). Each time Joe has been extremely professional, knowledgeable, helpful, informative, and quick to get things resolved. This last time we were having issues with our heat kicking on. I reached out and Joe was able to squeeze me in and had everything addressed within 90 minutes of my initial call. I could not be happier with the service I have gotten from Joe and because of him, I highly recommend Compass to all my friends and family!
Keith & Cyndi Crystal Lake IL I came across Compass Heating and Air Conditioning while looking at YouTube videos about Daikin brand Heating and Air Conditioning systems. I watched many videos from vendors far from home saying good things about Daikin HVAC systems. Then on YouTube I saw a video from Compass Heating and Air Conditioning near my home. I watched Mike take the viewer on a tour of his showrooms many Daikin Models. I knew I found the right place. I called them because I needed to replace a 25 year + heating and cooling system that my wife was stressed about relying on for another winter. Mike the owner of Compass Heating and Air Conditioning came to my home Monday and the next day they installed a Daikin Fit heat pump and 96% Daikin Furnace. The install crew of 3 persons was lead by another Mike (not the owner) and not only was he completely customer oriented but he had complete awareness of what each person on the crew was doing. Also he inspected their work and made sure it was finished to his standards. One of the YouTube videos I watched stated the Install was more important than which manufactures system was installed. I have A/C and refrigeration training from years ago and feel confident enough to say Compass Heating and Air is the company you could trust to give you what you pay for because of my flawless install.

Compass installed our heat pump and we are thrilled with the results! My house has never been this comfortable! Mike was great during the quoting process and was able to fit us into the schedule super fast. The installation team was so nice and they worked tirelessly to ensure everything was working properly and that I knew what to do with this new system. They also made sure they cleaned up before they left, which I really appreciated. Communication was great and they helped me get the rebates I needed. If you're looking for heat pump installation in Lombard, definitely check out Compass. As a newer technology it was tough to find local heat pump installers who were knowledgeable. Mike and his team are heat pump experts!

We would like to recognize, “Joe” for his professional, prompt, courteous, friendly and competent semi-annual service call. He took every precaution to keep the house clean while performing his great service duties. Joe (technician) was very pleasant, knowledgeable, helpful in resolving our Wi-Fi connection and very patient. He explained any and everything we asked with patience and enthusiasm. Wow! A amazing company! 9a.m. found a large puddle in my laundry room, realized it was a larger problem than I could handle alone. 11:00 call had Mike here by 2 and then Dave & ?(sorry) here by 4 with a new water heater & done by 6. Can't say enough on this prompt, polite and personable service!
Compass really knows mini splits. Their technician did a deep cleaning of our Mitsubishi indoor unit professionally and on time. I would definitely hire them again.
During the last deep freeze with temps in the teens, my furnace went out around 6 PM. With space heaters going in my newborn sons nursery I called several HVAC places. As expected they were all estimating a long response time. Joe Tholl from Compass came out ASAP late that night. When he arrived he was well mannered and began diagnosing my furnace. He found the problem and was to fix it on site. The price was very fair for the work he preformed and the speed of his response. Joe Tholl went above and beyond and even followed up the next day. He told me how I could prevent the same problem from happening again. By buying a $15 "furnace lock" to stop the air flow from being drawn in from immediately around the furnace and through the filter instead of through the cold air returns throughout the house.
