Schultheis Bros. Heating, Cooling & Roofing

The heat exchanger on my ancient Carrier furnace developed a crack right before Christmas, with temperatures due to drop into the teens over the next few days, and Schultheis Bros. was very proactive about scheduling an immediate appointment and getting the new unit installed ASAP. Daryl and Sean were the two techs who came out to do the job, and I strongly endorse (and greatly appreciate) the excellent work that they did on my furnace and AC.

I had a Mitsubishi Mini Split installed several years ago and have not been happy since the day it was installed. The 2 installers had never installed one of these and were clueless. They installed the outside unit 90 degrees to the house sticking out in the yard. They wanted to install the inside unit against the vaulted ceiling. When I questioned this the installer called someone and moved it down some but I still thought it was too high. The unit neither heats or cools the area properly. When I first complained they sent a tech who walked in the room and the first thing he said was "Boy is that high". He checked temp at unit and said it was at 72 degrees which is where the thermostat was set but the room was 62 degrees at ground level. The room temp in the summer is usually always around 10 degrees hotter than the thermostat setting.After numerous complaints to Schultheis and Mitsubishi they said we needed a remote thermostat which they did install at no cost to us but it didn't do anything to solve the problem. Schultheis quoted me a price of around $750 to lower the unit that they installed wrong in the first place. Schultheis will no longer even respond to our calls. BUYER BEWARE!!! Since my review of Schulties Brothers and their response I had 2 well known HVAC contractors look at my system. I told both that I felt the system didnt perform to my expectations. Both contractors came too the same conclusion, the indoor unit was too high too perform properly, which I complained about from the day they installed it, but lowering the unit would not solve my issues because the 12,000 unit was woefully undersized for the size and heating/cooling needs of the room. One contractor recommended a 24,000 btu outdoor unit and 2 12,000 btu indoor units. The other contractor a Mitsubshi Elite Diamond Dealer recommended a 30,000 btu outdoor unit and 2 15,000 indoor units. I went with the larger Mitsubshi unit which was professionally installed and after spending many thousands of dollars more I now have a room that can be enjoyed year round.

We had our ducts cleaned today. Tony and Sean were very friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, and tidy, in keeping with our 43 years of excellent experience doing business with Schultheis for heating, air conditioning, duct cleaning, and roofing. Highly recommended!

I had a clean and check done on my Trane furnace as well as the filter changed on 2/3/2021. The price was great as was the purchase price of the Trane furnace in 3/23/2018; the estimate was the best. The service since the purchase has been exceptional.

The technician they sent, Eric, was knowledgeable, respectful, and just generally a nice guy. The woman who took my call was just as nice. He explained everything to me and I know he was honest because I had done research on the furnace problem I was having. I would highly recommend this company.

I was having problems with my HVAC not cooling the whole house. Tony came right out for a consultation to figure out what my options were. I didn't know anything about HVAC systems before, but he walked me through the different parts of the system so that I could understand what the problem was. He was extremely knowledgeable and actually came up with an immediate remedy. He gave me quotes for different options and timelines for how long each would take (new coil vs. new unit vs. mini-split/ductless) but in the end, the simplest solution worked! It turns out that if you don't have a lot of returns to help circulate the air, that you can leave the fan running and it'll make a drastic difference! I was so happy with the service that I scheduled a consultation for my mom to meet with Tony since she's having a lot of trouble with another company. I would definitely recommend Schulteis Bros. and will be using them for my future HVAC maintenance and when I get around to working on the roof!

Excellent experience. Professional and reliable. Office was very responsive and pleasant. Crew was polite and efficient. When everyone else was trying to upsell an entirely new roof, they were very honest and transparent about the necessary repairs.

Had service tech come out to see what was wrong with my furnace. Turns out the heat exchanger went bad (it was 15+ years old). I upgraded to higher energy efficient unit and they did such a great job throughout the installation. Everyone from the office staff to the installers were very polite and explained everything to me when I had questions.

The team at schultheis replaced my hot water tank, furnace and air conditioner this past week. I was very pleased to have found a local company like them. The plumbers and hvac installers that came to my home were wonderful and took the time to go over everything with me. If i even need a roof they will be my first choice!!!

Called them and left a message at around 7 AM. Don from Schulteis came by a few hours later (on a 90 degree day when I'm sure they were getting inundated with calls). He quickly diagnosed and fixed two problems with our old AC system (broken PVC pipe, bad capacitor) that were causing problems. Charge was very reasonable.

I'd definitely use them again.
