    Scheduled work for a broken AC. Russ had us scheduled and the Tech ( Bob V.) found the problem and repaired it explaining work completed along with parts required. He was professional and courteous. Work area was cleaned at the end of the visit and all questions were answered. I would recommend Phillips Heating and AC. Bill M.

    The reputation in these reviews is very good but I would not recommend them.

    I spoke with multiple people there and put my requested work in writing, but they did not communicate with each other at all, so I had the same conversation with each person. Each conversation felt like the first time I was contacting them.

    When they visited my house they ignored the work I'd requested, so they had to go back again.

    When the scheduler contacted me he mentioned that he'd have to visit the house a third time to figure things out, but he never contacted me or my tenant.

    Just all around unprofessional and bad business.

    For the past ten years, we've always called Phillips for anything AC-or-boiler-related, whether a checkup or for a repair. They installed our Carrier AC for us 10 years ago when we first bought our house, and they've done every yearly checkup since then. We just had our AC-and-handler checkup done yesterday, and Ian reminded me of the great service that we always get when we call in someone from Phillips. Without fail, they are always amiable, kind, knowledgeable, honest, and thinking of the welfare of their customers. From little meticulous details like always putting on shoe-coverings to keep our floors clean, doing sanity checks on prices to make sure they aren't too high, and explaining in detail how everything works and why, I get the feeling that they really care about their customers. Our handler coil was very dirty and had to be cleaned. Ian explained in painstaking detail how the handler works and not only worked to clean the coil, but even inspected our ceiling filters and all around the handler to troubleshoot what the cause was. He surmised that the cause was our filter being slightly too small, leaving some gaps around the filter which allowed dusty air to be sucked up into the handler. After thinking awhile, he offered several inexpensive antidotes to the problem. He also discovered and sealed up a crack in our air handler that he suspected was also drawing dusty air into the coil.
    I know understand much better how the entire system works, and he gave me suggestions and tips on how to prevent the coil from becoming dirty again. I really appreciate the fact that they seem to care not just about dollars but about keeping their customers in great shape and everything in their house working, too. Awesome company!

    After spending > $11,000 with this company on a new furnace and AC the thermostat became faulty changing temperatures randomly and staying on for hours at times. Other than just changing the thermostat ($40 value), the technician decided to argue with us and not change the faulty thermostat because the 2 mins they were there it ran well. Poor customer service and follow-up care. Best to take your money elsewhere.

    I had an appointment on April 15th 2022 with Jason for an AC cleaning and an estimate on a new unit. My window for that day was between 12 and 4pm. When it was 4pm and no one showed and I received no phone call, I decided to call and find out what was up. I spoke with the answering service and they told me that he was still coming and would be in touch with me shortly. Well Jason never called and never showed up. I will never use this company again because they apparently do not think my time is important.

    I highly recommend Phillips and will be using them for all of my future HVAC needs. They clearly explained what they were doing at every step of the process of replacing my furnace, gave me accurate estimates, did a great job at a reasonable price, and were very pleasant to communicate with. I first contacted them when I was considering buying a home that needed the furnace replaced. It was obvious that there was an issue with the intake of the previously installed system, but the intake was difficult to locate. After I purchased the home, Jim took the time to do a thorough search of my vent system to try and locate the intake in order to give me as accurate an estimate as possible for replacing the system. It became clear that we wouldn’t be able to locate the intake of the previous system until it was removed, and Jim explained what work would likely need to be performed once the intake was located. He also provided me with several options to choose from for the replacement furnace, and clearly explained the differences and advantages of each model. On installation day, once the previous system was removed and the intake was located, Ian and Mike did a really nice job of transitioning the previously installed ductwork to make sure that the front panel of the new furnace can be easily accessed for future servicing, and of making necessary adjustments to the intake so that the issues that arose in the previous unit would not occur in the new unit. I have nothing but good things to say about the entire process.

    We have used Phillips for over 15 years and have never been disappointed. They are professional and reasonably priced. We always request Wes since he has been our tech since we started using Phillips. He is exceptional and a great problem solver when there is an issue with our system. We highly recommended their service!

    I met this company at the Home and Garden Show in Pittsburgh. The man I spoke with was very polite and offered to take a look at everything for free (our AC unit was almost 20 years old when we bought our home last year). Then, COVID happened. Mark Russell kept us in the loop and scheduled our appointment as soon as it was safe to do so. When Mark came to our house, he was very professional and really explained everything we needed to do, and he sent us estimates the very next day. He answered all of my questions very quickly and even let me know they had 0% interest financing through Dollar Bank and provided me with all the information needed to complete our project. The day of the project, Mark came back to our house with Nate and Bill. Nate and Bill were wonderful! They would give us updates throughout the project and were extremely professional throughout the experience. They installed our AC unit over a month ago, and I wanted to wait until we've used it a few times before writing a review. I could not be happier with my decision to choose Phillips Heating and Air Conditioning for our AC installation! Huge thank you to Mark, Nate, and Bill!
