Rick's Affordable Heating and Cooling

Rick was very professional at what he did he looked at my AC unit right away. Figured out what the problem was replaced it. Then when it still didnt work looked at my thermostat found out that a wire was loose repaired that then made sure that my AC unit had plenty of Freon and filled that.All that for a very fair price. I would definitely recommend him anytime he's definitely my heating & air guy.

Do not use if you are going through a warranty company. Rick's was our assigned contractor when our AC went out on July 20. Timeline:
August 7 showed up, told us we needed new unit, did not want check, prefered cash $75, told us 2-3 weeks wait time (okay, we get it, summer time ,busy). We were told additional modification cost would be $1750 (Okaaay, we need to have that itemized). During this time, countless calls to Rick's, not once did they return our calls. We had to text one of their techs. Who was polite with the texts, but it was just to placate us. During this time we were working with the warranty company. We finally got the itemized cost and $750 was for new lines through the crawl space. (Hmm again we tried to call, maybe there was a mix up, we don't have a crawl our unit is in the basement). Move forward to September 18, we have another contractor. Rick's maybe fine for those who call for service, but if you have them from a warranty company, demand someone who cares about their companies reputation, is honest and forthright. BTW Rick's never once called during this whole ordeal.
Rick if you are overbooked that does nothing for your customers, we understand furnaces go down in the winter and AC in the summer, if you can not handle the load then don't do warranty work. I understand the elderly and children come first, but not everyone will share their health problems with you, just ignoring your customers or sending a quick text will not build a solid clientele only a long list of unhappy customers who are willing to warn others.

Ricks installed my new heat pump in a new construction setting about a year and half ago. Had some issues getting the work done on schedule back then but it was finally completed and I was able to finish my construction of the 2nd floor. Recently I called Ricks and sent an email through their web site to get service since the annual service is required for my warranty on the Heat Pump. Still have not received any calls to set up a time to come out and service or inspect the unit as outlined in the Warranty.

A family member was unfortunately assigned to this company by their home warranty. Should of known by reading other reviews of the horrible customer service recieved that
Rick's Affordable Heating and Air is a joke and wondering how they are in business! Been over 4 weeks with no air and received notification that Rick's is not scheduling any appointments until September due to back log! Unacceptable! Waste of our time! Thanks for nothing. And remember, when one recieves horrible customer service, they will tell everyone!

Rick and his team are amazing! Friendly, fast, and quality work. Even in busy season, they got us taken care of.

We had a great experience with Rick. Called in the morning, was given a two hour window that afternoon. Rick arrived right at the beginning of the window. He was able to diagnose and fix within an hour. Great, reliable and affordable service. Will definitely be our 'guy' from here on out.

Excellent service by a truly amazing man. I called Rick very early on a very cold weekend morning and he was at my house within an hour. I was trying to cut corners and had a family member remodeling for me. It turned out that my relative replaced some pipes improperly, which tripped the furnace. He temporarily fixed it at no cost, and even stayed to explain what pieces/parts we needed to fix it. Rather than take the chance of family again (we all now where that leads) I hired him to come back and do the job. This is why we hire professionals folks, and Rick is definitely a professional that will be saved in my phone. A very kind, honest man that does excellent, reasonable work. Highly recommended.

We used Rick's Affordable Heating for a new furnace installation. We had multiple issues with the furnace not firing up. He was put here at least 3 times, and failed to fix the issue. On multiple occasions he didn't show as scheduled, and generally didn't return phone calls or text messages during the winter when we were without heat. He promised us a field representative was coming. When we called the furnace company directly we found that they knew nothing about this. He also never pulled a permit for this work, so it wasn't inspected. He milked us for an entire year until the warranty expired, and still the furnace doesn't work correctly.
We had another contractor in to diagnose the problem. Multiple issues were found, ranging from the flue not being hooked up correctly to sloppy installation and leaking gas. We have filed our complaint with consumer affairs, office of the attorney General. We intend to prosecute. We also understand that he may not be licensed to do installation. Save yourself many headaches, and use another contractor!

Had another company fail to show up. I called Rick and he came that same day. He was super nice, diagnosed the 2 issues quickly, and gave me some additional advice. I was really struck by how professional and knowlegable he was. And then he charged me a ridiculously low price for the repairs. I will definitely use him from now on.

First time working with this company and my wife and I were very impressed! Called on a Monday and they were booked out for two weeks and Rick himself actually stopped over after 8pm on his way home for the day to assess our issue. This kind of service is hard to find anymore! Would definitely recommend to anyone. Thank you so much!
