    Their service tech, Brian Miller, came to the home of my elderly parents to check their A/C which was not working. He provided a list of components that were "bad" and advised replacing the whole package for over $8,000. A relative who knows a little bit about these type of issues went to their home and discovered that all that was wrong was a blown fuse. A/C is working fine again after fuse replacement. Shame on these businesses for preying on the elderly. Special place in you know where for these kinds of people. Karma!

    Superb service! A/C went out at my dad's house - he is elderly and ill and can't sustain being in a hot environment for any real length of time. While initially, the new install of the A/C and furnace was scheduled for 2nd week of July - they understood that this may be an issue for my dad. So.... over the past few days, they scheduled service as they could, bit by bit, and actually completed the install within just a few days. VERY GRATEFUL for their caring, timely response. THANK YOU!

    My furnace wasn't working as well as it should and the upstairs was not warming up. Ed came to take a look the very next day. He figured it out in less than 15 min and took the time to not only explain things to me, but give me advice and recomendations on how to optimize my heating system. I really appreciate the level of professionalism and courtesy. Not knowing much at all about furnaces, he could have said anything, but he gave me an honest inspection and fixed the problem WITHOUT any extra fees-- that's how you know an honest tradesman! I definately recommend Fred's Home Services!

    The service technician Ryan was kind enough to stop by to do repairs on my furnace because he was in the area, even though I was scheduled for new year's eve. Very kind and courteous. I watched while he repaired. Talk about knowing your job, he explained while he was working on it and showed me the bad part he replaced. The inside of the furnace ducts(filters) were filthy. He had to take ducts apart and clean, he reassembled and did all clean up. To everyone out there get your furnace serviced, the hot air blows like a gust of wind. Hats off to Fred's Home Service and #1 technician Ryan Schulte.

    0 stars only 1 because had to. they sent an incompetent tech out to service my boiler and the guy immediately wanted to replace unit instead of fixing since it was a 90's unit. Then came the maintenance plan speal.. ?? Then came the exuberant cost to repair.. After a little research and a competent hvac pro it was repaired for < $150..

    Oh and last note.. be sure and read the low rating reviews as the offensive responses speak volumes from this sh*m operation..

    Went down to the basement to throw in a load of laundry and found the carpet soaking wet. Seems the drain on the HVAC system shut down and it overflowed onto the basement floor. Called Fred's on a Sunday and within the hour Ryan appeared, fixed the problem and installed a safeguard to keep it from happening again! He even took the time to explain everything so I completely understood. Great company, great service!!

    They do not have 24 hour service as posted, and are very slow to respond. Started leaking 9 days ago, now basement getting flooded. This is what you get when you sign up for Service Plan through Dominion on your gas bill. I had the same plan years ago on a different home and they where out in 24 hours and replaced bad tank same day, but it was not Fred's.

    Been a contract client for 20 years, that alone should speak for the company. Never had a complaint. Ed has become my go to service tech and is very easy to get along with. Always willing to discuss the service and answer questions. Good company.
