My Home Serve warranty sent Fred's Home Services out to check why my furnace wouldn't stop running constantly. I received a call almost immediately after they were contacted, informing me that they would be out the following morning, with an approximate time.
The next morning, I received a call from Tim, telling me he would arrive within 20 minutes, and he was not only on time, but extremely courteous, and addressed all my questions patiently, while cleaning the flame sensor, which fixed the problem immediately.
My warranty coverage in the past has sent some questionable companies for repair, who tried to do additional work, and use scare tactics, like leaking carbon monoxide, which turned out to be untrue with a second opinion.
Very pleased with the service, time, and thoroughness of Tim and this company. Thank you!

We had Tim from Fred's Home Services come out for what was meant to be a routine Clean and Check. Tim seemed like a very nice guy, but it turned out he wasn't really there to help us. Long story short, he didn't even clean the furnace a little bit, he just turned it on to make sure it was working (we already knew it did from our home inspection). He then charged us $85 for the visit, but the worse part about the whole thing, was how he was trying to pressure my wife and I into replacing our entire furnace, AC unit, and Water Heater. The price he gave us to replace all of that was not super unfair, but he was throwing around things like "Carbon Monoxide leak" and telling me I had to let him know by that night in order to get that price. The whole thing felt like a scam. I made an appointment with a competing company to do a clean and check to get a second opinion. The second company treated us how we should've been treated by Fred's. Instead of pressuring us to replace everything out of fear, the second company walked me through step by step potential issues and pointed out potential issues to me, but also took time to completely clean the unit, tune up the motor, and give me a plan for what to do in the worst case should we actually need to replace the furnace (though he was not recommending for us to do so at this time). All that for $70 instead of the $85 Fred's Home Services charged us to basically turn the on switch on my thermostat. I will never call Fred's Home Services for anything again, and would advise against letting them into your house unless you want to feel passive aggressively bullied into buying things you may not need.

I have been using Freds for over 10 years. Today, they just installed a new hot water tank using a home warranty and the service was amazing as always. After Craig and Edward finished the job, my steps and floor was wiped down like they were never there. Great work to the team at Fred's heating and cooling!

Our furnace took a dive on a Saturday and Fred's promptly came out and identified the problem. The manager, John, gave us a fair quote and the technicians arrived that Monday to perform the necessary work. Prior to this event, we have used Fred's for other repairs. The technician Ryan is polite, knowledgeable, and performs quality work. As a company, they have consistently demonstrated professionalism and promptness while performing quality work for a reasonable price. We will continue to use their service for heating and cooling problems.

I called them out to check on an air conditioning unit that wasn't blowing cold, so they charged me $750.00 to recharge the AC, including a sealant that after shopping around I found out it was a little bit expensive by 300-400. Less than 60 days later air was blowing warm again and now this technician tells me my unit is 15 years old and needs to be replaced and wanted to charge 3400.00. Now I paid him $75.00 for a service call, plus tge $750.00 from before and by the way my unit was installed in 2012 complete ripoff.

I called Fred’s Home Services on a Tuesday morning because our furnace wouldn’t kick on. They sent Ed out very quickly. He was very professional and honest. He got our furnace back up and running in no time! I definitely recommend their services to anyone that needs it!

Thank you to Ed and the rest of the team at Fred's Home Services for their quick and professional help when my furnace had issues the day before Christmas eve. They went above and beyond with quick response and service to get the problem diagnosed and the part needed during the busy holiday season when many of the part distributors were already shutdown for Christmas. I am grateful that I had my furnace back up and running for the holidays and Ed was very knowledgeable and provided helpful information regarding my older furnace to make future purchasing decisions.

Our blower motor went out on one of the coldest days of the year. FHS had technician Ed out within two hours. He was able to get the blower motor running until the replacement part came in the next day. This company was quick, professional, and reasonably priced. I recommend this company for your heating and cooling needs.

Nothing but GREAT things to say about Fred’s!! My husband and I are first time home buyers, and of course after barely 2 years in our home, the old furnace hits its end of the road in the middle of winter! They sent a tech out to us last week, I believe his name is Sam. Very professional and friendly. He assessed our situation and measured our house in a very timely fashion and gave us an unbelievably great quote for a new furnace- significantly more reasonable that other companies in the area that we had talked to. We were afraid we wouldn’t even be able to get a new furnace right now but Fred’s made it possible!! Yesterday, Sam and Alex came out to install the new furnace and take out the old one. Extremely impressed with how neat and courteous these guys were- I think they left the basement cleaner than it was when they arrived!- and they completed the entire project in one day. They also installed a new thermostat for us. Couldn’t be happier and definitely recommend this company to anyone!!!
