I just wanted to let you know how pleased I was with the installation yesterday. The guys were absolutely amazing and did a great job. They took extra time to explain things to me and show me how to setup and operate the new thermostat. They were all very nice and helpful and I just really appreciated everything.

Thank you again for making this such a great experience. I will definitely recommend William Brockman & Sons.

Simple and Affordable: I was able to go in the store and buy a $24 AC capacitor without an account or paying for installation (like many HVAC businesses). There was no sales pressure. The guy working there confirmed my old capacitor was bad (it was bulging) and said the new one has a one year warranty. This is a great deal!

Update: I had a 27 year old 80% efficient 100k BTU furnace having trouble lighting up. Brockman helped me try to keep it running with parts, but I got tired of messing with it. Brockman installed a 95% efficient 40k BTU Lennox for $2500. I specifically requested the 40k. The house had some energy efficiency improvements since built in 1963.

If you're getting a replacement furnace:
In my opinion, oversized furnace are very common. Being oversized means more likely to wake (and in general annoy) occupants when it turns on from the noise, and then wake them again when it turns off due to the greater cold feeling it leaves. ACs are more often sized right.

To figure size needed, take the percentage time the old furnace ran while 25F, windy, and cloudy/dark outside (ex.: 20 min per hour = 33%). Multiply that percentage by 2 (because 25F is half way to -20F from 70F) to figure how much it would run at -20F to cover worst case (ex. = 66%). Multiply this worst case % needed by your old furnace size BTU output (ex. 0.66 needed x 80k BTU out = 53k BTU out needed). Get the next size up (ex: 95% efficient 60k outputs 57k BTU).

Example all together = (20min/60min) x 2 x 80k BTU existing = 53k BTU needed.

One can also estimate the BTU/hour exchange of all components and occupants for a structure, but a lot of assumptions go into that. (I'm an environmental engineer.) The above simple formula I explained is more accurate.

Best HVAC guys in town. Always on time, professional, incredible value for the services and maintenance they provide. My family uses them for every property we own (personal, and rental properties) and will never use anyone else.

Thank God Mike sent out the best they have to inspect and clean my Lenox furnace. He may have been 77 years old but still knows the product. found a serious maint issue and stayed with it until it was repaired. Thanks Mike and George Jr.

William Brockman & Sons:
This company saved the Day!
After another company botched the installation of our new Lennox Compressor & ADP coil, we called the manufacturer to get advice. They recommended WB & Sons since they are a trained and certified Lennox service provider.
From the initial assessment team that surveyed our system; the owner providing proposals and options to correct; and the installation team (Jordan & Zack); and finally Jennifer and the gentleman who took our payment over the phone - they have all been professional, compassionate, reliable and technically qualified.
The final results are a safe, sound and fully operational system that is under warranty and equipped with a yearly service maintenance plan through a reputable company.
Thanks again for your great service.

I have done business with them for years. Most recently, I had to replace an AC compressor which locked up. It was under warranty and they replaced it as soon as they received the necessary part.

Brockman and Sons replaced an old furnace. The new furnace is upgraded and more efficient. They also found problems around the old system and fixed them.
They were on time and the price stayed the same even though they did extra repair work. They also review the thermostats and made sure they were working properly.
Excellent service. Trustworthy!

Not recommended. Had used them for 7 years and not happy. They put in a new outdoor heat pump unit and it needed repairs in 4 years ($500 labor cost to me). Exact same thing on it broke again 2yrs later! Told this time (since warranty was over) it would cost me at least $1200 to fix it! AND it took the tech 2+ hrs to figure out what was wrong and they expected ME to pay "labor rate" for that on top of their $89 diagnostic fee! I can't help it if the tech is slow/dumb! I "fired" them.

Very professional and probably the most collaborated group of experienced techs and owner in our Miami Valley. Was told by another AC company it would be twice the price to repair (verbally) and he’d get me a quote.. never got one. Nor reply at all. Mr Brockman personally inspected my issue and came out to give me a quote to replace my A/C system completely in writing same day as inspection. A few days later there is an awesome team of guys with decades of experience each installing and removing the old to new with an “assembly line” feel to the production. Hours later a new complete A/C system is installed and running both inside and out for half the price with a warranty and guarantee behind the company and the product. I work in service and this is Grade A. Don’t bother shopping around, get it done right or pay to do it twice.

We used Brockman & Sons when we wanted to move our AC to put in a deck. But it was from ‘99 and the Freon was being phased out so we ended up having to get a new one. Their prices were very competitive and they were great to work with. We needed it moved in the fall but didn’t want to put it in just to sit for 6 months. So they put the lines in for us and then put the actual AC unit in the next spring. The guys that did it were the same ones both times and they were very professional and knowledgeable. They even fixed some duct work another company put in when they installed our furnace and did a bad job. Lastly we were able to get 0% financing for a year.
