The best HVAC service provider I've ever worked with. Friendly, trustworthy and incredibly responsive. Catlin and his team are always professional and honest, and take the time to really discuss the root cause of issues - and options available. We have used Phil N' Great for both regular maintenance and emergency repairs, and they always deliver.

I was referred to Phil N. Great by a close friend and had Cat come by my home to give me a quote on A/C maintenance after it failed in the dead of summer. I had initially been quoted an arm and a leg to replace my unit with an influence to do so in the very near future by a previous HVAC company. Not only did Cat assure me that he could repair my existing unit (as opposed to replacing it), he educated me on how to extend the life of my unit before any repairs were required. A very honest professional in an industry where that is becoming few and far between. When the time comes for repair, my business will be awarded to Cat and the Phil N. Great team.

I had an issue with my heating system and called Phil N. Great based on several recommendations on NextDoor. Dean and Cat showed up to my house the same day and took care of the problem. They were both courteous, knowledgeable, and were excellent communicators. If you are looking to support an honest local HVAC company with fair pricing, I would highly recommend these guys.

We were holding out for the right kind of service technician after a few bad encounters and a questionable installation of the second floor unit replacement. Our research turned up Cat and his family owned business.

We can tell you that all the positive reviews are spot on! He's got the traditional values going and will do right by the customer. He didn't criticize the other company instead made a few 'improvement suggestions'. Very honorable. But we knew because we had other opinions. I was surprised by his lack of desire to gouge having a perfect opportunity (like others have).

So, he resolved our problems with the manufacturer on the second floor unit and replaced only the needed parts and called it a day. I guess it took some effort to get warranty prices without the paperwork. We're very happy with his work, price and service there. And he refused a tip.

We have asked him to replace the first floor unit and correct all the duct work there. And then to redo / fix up the second floor installation after the other company. We just want that done right by someone we can trust.

He's not just provided sensible options but also explained what does and doesn't make value for us.

Based on what I already know I recommend Cat! He's a real old school American.

And I will let you know how the rest of the work goes when he's done. Happy to have him and his business working on our home.

Extremely professional staff, always on time, keeps you informed of progress and costs throughout the process, and works with you on manufacturer's warranties. They also installed a new gas pack system for us when our old one failed and we couldn't be happier!

Got the contact info for Phil N. Great from my mother, who had gotten them from a Next Door recommendation over the summer when she had an AC problem... she was very happy with their responsiveness and reasonable pricing.

So glad we called! We called Monday morning, and the guy came out at lunchtime on the same day. He was able to figure out what was going on, and was very communicative about it. They were willing to work with us on pricing, especially since our home warranty didn't cover the issue (different story there) ... and were very reasonable, without trying to upsell everything (as many HVAC companies try to automatically sell you a whole new system).

He made a temporary fix so we could make do until he returned Thursday to repair the issue. Showed up, got it done, and all with a smile. Though I hope we don't have the NEED to use them again, I will definitely keep them on my contact list, "just in case"!

Today was the 3rd time we had this company work at our house, and they will definitely be my go-to in the future. We had some fallen ducts in our crawl space, and another company tried to sell us entire duct replacement for thousands of dollars. When I wasn't happy with that option I was told they could replace the duct in the one area needing repair, but I believe they were up-charging that repair to try to get us to do the entire duct replacement. I had only called that company because the owner's a friend of someone else we've had work in a crawl space, but it was a waste of time! I wish I'd called Phil N Great to start. They are fair and honest, and do a great job with customer service. Without any question or up-selling our duct was repaired quickly and for a very reasonable cost. Couldn't be happier with my experience!
