Extremely professional. Teddy is out for what is best for you. He inspected my entire system which included the outtake vents. That's where my real problem was. Just to replace the system still wouldn't have done what I needed. Teddy was on top of the situation from start to end. I know him personally and you can rest assured he will treat you as well. On top of all the great service, his prices are great.

Cold King Is THE BEST! Beware of the “ big” AC companies on Staten Island. I just had a 20 year old 5 Ton AC unit replaced by Cold King that was servicing the first floor of my home. This unit was losing freon and I decided to replace it rather than continuing to fix it. I had air flow issues from this unit and I was under the impression that the air ducts were somehow clogged. I called Cold King to replace this unit and when they assessed the situation the first thing they said was “ you are not getting enough air flow on the first floor” and stated that the return that was installed 20 years ago was too small and I did not need a 5 ton but only a 4 ton unit, and it would be much cooler with the installation of an additional return. They were 100% right!! They installed the new AC and added a new return and now my first floor cools off excellent and I could finally feel the air coming out of the ducts. Originally I was running a 5 ton unit and getting only about a 2 ton air flow. After 20 years I could finally say that I could run the air conditioner and be as cold as I want to be. The original “big” AC Company put only 2 small returns which were insufficient for my needs, and when I called them to fix it they could never find the problem! Cold King got it right the FIRST time!! GREAT JOB Cold King!!!!! If you need air conditioning service or replacement call Cold King first!!! Run from the big companies!!! Cold King is your answer!

I was in the market for a mini split setup to add to my central air because the cooling just wasn't cutting it on the top level of a 3 floor town house. I got quotes from the "competition" and what a joke that was. I came across a cold King truck while driving on the 440 and figured why not give it another shot. Teddy answered the phone and right off the bat seemed like a down to earth guy. He came to my house gave me a great quote (smashed the competitions price) and we went ahead with the job. Teddy's crew is absolutely an awesome and professional group of guys. Install was smooth and fast, the guys were sincere and made the house spotless after completion. I would highly recommend Cold King for your heating/cooling/mechanical needs.

Cool King took out our old unit and replaced it. They did a great job with A/C. It is working well. They did everything efficiently and neatly for a reasonable price. The owner and workers were very respectful and professional .

A no show on a scheduled service call. Upon calling this company after the designated time had passed. The dispatcher had the technician who was on the truck making his rounds call me. He stated that he would be at my home within the hour. He never showed up. I again called the dispatcher who had no explanation as to why the technician didn't show up. I even called the cell number that the technician had called me on with no response. I intend to never use this company in the future. In reading some of the negative reviews that are posted on YELP and BIRDEYE regarding Cold King. It appears that there not showing up on scheduled service calls in not an isolated incident. There are other negative reviews regarding their over pricing and subpar work that I'm kind of glad that they didn't show up.

Teddy, DBA cold king, is a classic example of rape and run. Besides the fact that instead of fixing my compressor, he insisted it had to be replaced, nearly quadrupling the price of the service. Then he sent young unexperienced kids to come repair the hot water heater. . .

Let me start with the air conditioning compressor. I was upset enough that the service call ended up being huge upsell, but even after that and showing up two days late, when they were done they had the nerve to tell me that they would not change the old air filter in the attic because it was too hot up there, even though the air was barely moving and not cooling down the house because of the old filter. They insisted I go buy my own air filter and change it myself at night.

Then there's the issue of my hot water heater. The system was working fine other than the fact that sometimes it wouldn't wake up when the water heater thermostat would call for more hot water. His inexperience technicians did not understand the problem so they began to just replacing parts. It's no sweat off their back, because they just simply charge me as they continue to experiment. $570 later, they claimed it's fixed, left the boiler room a mess, and even left one of the heater zones disconnected. The hot water heater failed about a week later and to his credit he did dispatch somebody who came over and simply turned the system on and off and it began to work again.

Then get this: it failed again last week and I called Teddy. He said he was busy and that he would call me back the next day. The next day came and went so I left him a long text message explaining how upset I was and how unprofessional he was behaving. And here's the crown jewel of my experience with Cold King: Teddy calls me back and says he just got around to reading my message and he is upset that I called him unprofessional, and that he does not want to be married to my hot water heater, so I should find another HVAC company.

I know some people leave negative reviews are disgruntled, and even severely exaggerate their experiences in order to make the problems seem larger. But I can assure you I am not exaggerating whatsoever. This guy and his fly-by-night company are the most unprofessional, unethical HVAC company I have ever dealt with in my entire life. I strongly suggest you stay clear of him and find a more reputable company if you need HVAC work.

After seeing the good reviews online i decided to give them a shot, my AC needed freon i called and spoke to the owner Teddy who always picks up and is very professional and pleasant to speak with, they came out right away and took care of it with no problems at all, and he followed up the next morning to make sure i was happy. Will use again.

Had a heating issue tonight and called cold king. Teddy(owner) showed up who I can tell you from my observation is a friendly hard working guy who knows his craft very well. Problem was diagnosed within a few moments and explained in a way that I understood and fixed. Give em a call they'll get the job done.
