Cold King Heating & Cooling

Great service and very fair price. The employees were very friendly and professional. They installed a new furnace and AC unit for me in one day. I recommend them to anyone in the Staten Island area. The owner, Teddy, was a pleasure to work with. He stopped in to double check on the job. They always pick up when I call and always on time.

Cold King did a decent job with my air conditioning, (mini splits), installation. But their customer service was poor. I had trouble starting the unit, their response to my complaint was "we don't read the operation manual, it's the customers responsibility ". After 2 service calls, they did iron out my problem. But as a last parting gift, they took a small step ladder from my house. After several calls, the tech claims it's his. So I'm short one ladder, and had more than my share of frustration.

To his credit, Teddy pays attention to these reviews. He was at my house 3 days after posting this review. He had his tech return my step ladder with an apology. I feel much better about the whole thing. Teddy did the right thing

I can't say enough about Anthony and Nick. When they came to my house, they realized the job was more complicated. However, they figured out how to get the job done. They spent hours in my hot attic without one compliant. After the job was completed, the owner Teddy checked every vent and explained the AC system and warranty in great detail. I highly recommend using Cold King, you will not be disappointed.

Teddy was great communicating with me every step of the way. My install was done in the same day and working great. Teddy beat everyone’s price that I called on Staten Island. If you are shopping for a new AC unit make sure you give teddy a call and get an estimate before you commit to anyone else!

I will like to thank Teddy and his crew, the both Anthony's and Chris for the excellent service they have provided on 7/2/18. My AC & Heating unit were replaced with a new system. They were very professional, polite and quite reasonable. Thanks Cold King for a job well done. You guys were awesome. Keep up the great work.

Our air conditioner stopped working on the hottest day in July. I called some places that were unavailable and reached out to Cold King. Their guy came right away. He assessed the problem and gave us several options, explaining each option thoroughly. Teddy came later to do final assessment and promised to make all the replacements and get the system up and working the very next day. Teddy and his team were professional, quick and knowledgeable. They did as promised the very next day. They had some small adjustments left and did not take a penny from us until the job was totally complete. These guys are reliable and were there when we needed them.

Our heating system broke down and we called Cold King in the Morning and within an an hour Houston came over and diagnosed our problem. Our heating system was over 20 years old so we had Houston and Teddy install a new system. Our heat was back on that evening. Highly recommend Cold King.

I'd like to preface my review by saying that I normally do not write reviews this long for any company, but I'm a strong advocate for giving credit where credit is due. I'm fairly certain that I cannot be the only recipient that has benefited from Cold King Air's tremendous work, and I hope my review will inspire others to provide more meaningful, in depth reviews of their own experience to truly showcase what this company has to offer.

For the past several years, I've been getting by just fine without working AC, relying on multiple fans and opened windows during the scorching summers, but I simply was not prepared to endure a New York winter without heat when my heating furnace recently croaked.

Prior to reaching out to Cold King Air Corp, I contacted several other local area HVAC companies, Costco, Vlad and Scaran to name a few. Of all the companies I reached out to, Cold King Air Corp was most competitively priced, beating out the others by a long shot. Although, I'm not at liberty to disclose the final agreed upon price, I will say that I easily saved well over $1500 by choosing to go with Cold King Air Corp.

I’m so glad I called Teddy, the owner of Cold King Air Corp, who provided a quote over the phone. That same evening, Teddy came over to my house to check out my old unit to provide a more accurate in-person quote. Teddy broke down all of the work he would perform, including removing the old unit, putting in a new furnace, a new coil, and installing the condenser in my backyard, and cleaning out my air vents. The in-person quote was actually even less than what I was quoted over the phone!

The following day, Teddy and his men worked on installing the new AC/heating unit, while I was away from home, working in the city. When I came home, I was pleasantly surprised to find most of the new equipment had already been installed, and the old equipment was nowhere in sight (I presume Cold King Air Corp hauled it off to the junkyard.) Teddy, subsequently called me later that evening to give me a rundown of the work he and his men put in that day, and told me that he estimated it would take a few more hours to complete the job the following day.

The following day, Teddy and his men worked on installing the unit again while I was away at work. They completed the installation, removed the trash and debris that came with the installation, and helped me lock my front door on their way out. I'm still amazed by how quickly these guys were in and out, and able to complete the job in just under 2 days! Teddy again called me that evening, and gave me a rundown of how everything went, and we discussed payment arrangements.

I met with Teddy, Thursday evening and I paid him in full. He provided me with some paperwork to register the equipment, and also a receipt, which included a one-year labor warranty. All in all, I'm extremely satisfied that I went with Cold King Air Corp. They helped clean out all of my air ducts, and now the temperature in my house is consistent throughout all three floors. With my old AC/heating unit, I'd have to wake up at night because it would be warm when I went to bed, but the temperature would drop several degrees overnight. Since the new installation, the temperature throughout the house has consistently remained at the set temperature.

Update: after the unit was installed and everything paid for, Teddy told me he would need to return one last time to calibrate the new AC unit, once the weather was above 70 degrees. It’s been a pretty cold spring so far, so he was unable to come by. This week however, we saw the weather went above 70 degrees. True to his word, Teddy called me to schedule a convenient time to come by and calibrate my unit. Per the usual, I told Teddy he could calibrate the unit while I was at work, Teddy did so, and texted me to let me know the unit was calibrated. Teddy is as honest and professional as they come, and I highly recommend him to anyone who needs to have their AC or heating furnace replaced/repaired.

Me and my wife recently bought a house and had to do alot of work to it. we got a couple of estimates on the heating and a/c and cold king came in at the lowest price. Ted and his associates walked me through exactly what they were going to do and did a great job doing it. He was prompt, polite, informative, neat and capable of installing my brand new furnace, coil and condenser. He also helped schedule a solid service contract to keep my system well maintained. I highly recommend Cold King to anyone.
