My wife and I just bought a home this past December. About a month ago, I decided it would be a good time to have my heating and central air checked out and serviced (since neither was currently being used). The serviceman was not only professional and courteous, he gave us tips on what we could do to for summer and winter "storage" to avoid problems in the future. I would go so far as to describe it as a refreshing experience, not feeling like I had to watch out for someone who was trying to swindle me!

We had a BIG project replacing both our AC & Heating system which needed a crane to put the unit on our condo roof. They did everything & it was made easy. Explaining the process, getting town permits & clean! Pricing was very fair as well. Thank you!

BUYER BEWARE!!!! What we thought was going to be a long lasting relationship with Clarkstown Heating and A/C turned sour with the classic bait and switch scheme. First the salesman comes in and analyzes our system, submits a proposal and contract, which we agreed to, submitting the exact amount of the deposit that they requested. They then send in their project manager two days later who indicates the salesman under bid the job and he would need to review it with the salesman and either he or the salesman would get back to us on the same day. WE NEVER HEAR FROM EITHER OF THEM! Keep in mind they deposited our deposit. After two days we contacted them having to leave a message on the project managers voice mail. The following day we received a phone call from someone who identifies himself as the owner of the company, who then indicates that if we wanted to proceed with the job as bid by their salesman it would cost us an additional $3,250.00. We in formed him of our feelings, concerns, etc. and that he should honor the contract as originally written, just as he would expect us to pay him as we agreed to, regardless of what the amount. He indicated that if we accept his new proposal and revised cost we would not be disappointed and it would be a perfect job. After he indicated he would not budge on his additional cost we indicated that we would need to take this up with our attorney. He then indicated that we were threatening him. Of which we explained this was not a threat and only our right to seek out an attorney for their help. He further went on to explain that his contracts are not approved until his project manager reviews the job after his salesman bids the job. I ask him if this statement was in the contract? He indicated it was! I informed him that I did not see such a clause, however, I would review it again. I REVIEWED IT AGAIN....THERE IS NO MENTION OF HIS PROJECT MANAGER NEEDING TO APPROVE THE JOB AFTER THE SALESMAN BIDS THE JOB BEFORE IT BECOMES A BINDING AGREEMENT! We received four (4) other bids on our specific job and they were all within $500.00 with Clarkstown not being the lowest. If their bid was figured incorrectly, they should have absorbed that cost and taken the loss. Any reputable company would have done that! Having been in business myself, there are times when things like this can happen, and, you absorb the loss. But, this is not what happened supported by, first they send in the salesman, take your deposit, deposit your deposit.....Once your deposit clears, they send in their project manager with the bad news. After discussing this with our attorney we decided that this review on social media sites, contacting AMEX to get our deposit back by creating a dispute was the best way to proceed. We are now with a company that we feel confident will do a professional job for us. Word of mouth is the best advertising. We hope that this review helps other consumers for there are many companies out there. REMEMBER: True positive character is wonderful when everyone is happy. But, when there is a problem, the true negative character comes out and shows what these people (Clarkstown heating and A/C) are! PAC

Clayton and his assistant were friendly and efficient. Clayton explained what they were doing, answered whatever questions asked and how we wanted the outside gutter lead to the attic situated. While on the job, Clayton also looked over our furnace to see if it required replacement. He and his assistant left the house clean. We have used Clarkstown Heating and Air Conditioning for years and plan to use them again in the future.

Completely satisfied! This company and these guys are excellent, knowledgeable and reliable. I called them for a regular heating check-up, technician came-in checked the boiler and found a low pressure problem, replaced few parts, did other maintenance, and everything was working great (and was done before it was too late, could have been a bigger problem)! There were a couple of times where I had to call for emergency, and they arrived in time to save us. I have signed up for a yearly contract, because you never know when your Heat or A/C will fail, and emergency visit cost is wasted. Thank you for taking care of me. The jobs gets done right.

I had gotten an estimate and when I was ready to hire the Clarkstown the price went up and I got a song and a dance. Just in a few months it went up. Looks somewhere else for the same model number and it was a lot cheaper by $700.00. People you need to shop around.

Horrible company. My parents called them for service on their ac unit because it wasn't working. Left and unit wasn't working, then billed them almost a thousand dollars for refrigerant they never put in. Had to be fixed by someone else who found a simple rusty component that was repaired in 10 mins. After confronting owner he told my father they would have probably fixed that part after another visit to house. They will rip you off if you don't watch them the whole time. Would not recommend them to anyone.

We've had a service contract with them for years and recently had a complete AC system replaced. Timely and excellent work and everything works perfectly. Always dependable, always positive, always great to work with. Keep up the good work!

Always knowledgeable, courteous, and clean!!!! They were great with my dog Kylo which makes the work easier since we didn't have to keep him penned inside. They give a wide variety of choices for our needs and altogether, we had always had great service and knowledgeable experts from CHA, and we hope to continue receiving such service!!!

Anytime we have an issue with our boiler we give Clarkstown Heating a call. They always send professional and knowledgeable technicians out. Jarell came out today to fix a leaky pipe and motor on the boiler. He went above and beyond my expectations. I wish I could give this company more stars!
