We had three ductless splits installed. The consultant who did the estimate explained everything, so we were comfortable with expectations. They were able to schedule us within a week, so the walk through followed soon after. The walk through ironed out all the details of placement, where to run the lines, etc. The installation was completed by 2 - 3 techs over a two-day period. One unit was particularly tricky to place as the lines would need to be run through a tight crawl space under an addition, but they managed it. They were on time, efficient, professional, courteous, and left the space clean. Can't ask for more than that.

NEVER start work with this company!!!!! It took 1 & ½ Months to fix the AC. my family spent the most hot summer days without AC. I started work with them early July but it was finished on Aug 17. When I call the office to complain about the delayed service they only keep talking about the part delivery time. Part delivery time took for only 2 weeks from 8/3 to 8/16. The most important reason for the delay is that they NEVER CALL FOR THE NEXT STEP TO THE CUSTOMER. When every step finished the technician said that the office will call me for the next step.I trust them and wait until they call. But no one calls me. Even though I left the message no one called me too. I had to call every time for the next schedule and then they gave me the next schedule more than a week later. That’s why it took an insane amount of time to fix the AC in summer. I think they are not willing to take care of the customer. The customer needs to follow up by themselves. If they made a schedule in the timeline it would reduce the time. If you can live without AC in summer you can work with them because the technician was good. But if you need fast work, never think about them. My heater needs to be replaced soon. I'll find another company. I don’t want to have nightmares again.

They came right away to give me the estimate. They are easy to work with. Employees are honest and technical. My new heater was installed a few days later. Faster than other providers I checked with. Highly recommended! The Clarkstown H&AC crew delivered excelent service. Dan, Nick & Dave neatly installed the Mitsubishi split-type air conditioners in a timely manner. They have the patience also in doing the teaching on how to operate the installed system as well. Bruce and John were also very helpful in making sure that we know the appropriate cost and installation timeline. Having known them before when I asked them to replace our boiler, I know they are dependable and highly reliable to deliver the expected services. Definitely recommending Clarkstown H&AC!
I've used Clarkstown in the past and was very impressed. They are honest and very upfront. I even recommended them to a family member who used them to install a new AC system. But in June my AC system had issues. Clarkstown came to service the unit advised a new unit might be the best choice. The unit was 22 years old and just made sense to replace. Mike, their salesperson, showed up later that day to discuss my options. Mike was very friendly and knowledgeable. He advised me replacing my furnace, which was 22 yrs old as well, would save me around $1500 to do both units together. He made sure I had all the info i needed to make my decision which I did later that day. I would change both systems at once. The only negative was it would be a month and a half wait. Few weeks later, Clarkston showed to measure for the new equipment which took no time at all.
So install date came on 8/3 which they improved by a week. The installers showed up promptly at 8am as promised. All the techs were very friendly and fully informed me of their plans for the day. They went straight to work. I checked in with them several times through the install and they would update me with their progress. As 3 pm rolled around, they were just finishing up the install. I was informed how they were going to test the system to make sure it was in full working over. They explained each system to me in detail and made sure I was fully satisfied with their work. They cleaned up the area and fully swept and vacuumed where they worked. Final paperwork was sign and their job was complete.
My AC works wonderfully over my older system. My house has never felt more comfortable. I'm sure my heat will as well in a few months. A great job down by Clarkstown. You can count on them for great service and reliability!
DONT USE THIS BUSINESS… Down hill since son took over. -2 weeks ago came out for maintenance - had to call back because they only serviced one unit when both sit side by side -?smart?now their unit 1 is 4 yr old Carrier Ac not cool-came out 6 x still not cooling. Unit 2 which is old cooling great but has overflowing drain clogged -per clarkstown needs replacement of entire system.also discover flex coil ripped - ? wasn’t this noticed first time out..want to charge me $525 for maybe 3ft of flex .. i ask for itemized material list before paying ..they refuse to provide ..they tell me standard fee will deduct from new system cost. really- i didn’t want to pay but didn’t want BS so paid next day .. unit still not cooling tell me it’s hot outside… never was problem in past when we had 100.- i ask for cost of new unit they saw they need to send sales team tomorrow to discuss needs .. they have been here each day they know what i need / no has to be sales team?i call in morning pay them tell them how dissatisfied i am … 4 yr old unit still not cool- so far paid $1000. for work that isn’t cooling. unprofessional incompetent team- want my monies back. appt w other company- showed low freon/puron making leak since they said it was good but they should of checked for leak BUT BIGGER ISSUE - Main duct destroyed - why didn’t they see this.Terrible Service.
Pastore- should stick to Ac business instead of calling customers names because of truth. rebuttal… my review was regarding the Carrier unit - 5 years old they installed - came out to do maintenance service- said they checked everything gas ducts vents was all good .. but ac not cooling - had to call other very reputable co Whalen Ives - problem solved - needed gas because unit leaking- flex ducts damaged not connected to vents- have pics - - thats reason no cool air coming out. Whalen Fixed all - unit operating immediately w cold air coming out of vents - How is it possible that 3 different techs from Clarkstown could not identify and just checked all ok on receipt and charged us money and told us one unit cannot cool well needs time to cool house - very hot and that crack skylight opening to allow hot air to escape cathedral ceiling impacts cooling …BS… this is good practice w high ceiling to allow venting hot air. Horrible cust service RUDE DISRESPECTFUL AND INCOMPETENT.
