I’m so glad I found this company, I had two others come out unprepared with a tall enough ladder after I told them they would need a minimum of a 30 footer. Fernando and his helper Tyler showed up on time, were very professional, very friendly, and had the right ladder for the job. The problem was quickly diagnosed, they went off to the local parts house, and had us up and running in no time. I have to say everyone was professional from my first contact with office staff through the repair process, I also felt the charge for the service was more than fair. I will be using Pro-Tech for my maintenance and repair needs for the foreseeable future.
5 star service again when my furnace went out at the start of a 3-day holiday weekend with single digit temps. forecast. I left a frantic middle of the night message and Fernando was at my house at 5:30 a.m. diagnosed the problem, sent someone to ABQ to pick up a part because there were none up here and I had heat by 3 p.m. I have been your customer for 12 years now and am well used to your professional, thoughtful and dependable service, but this time guys, you went over the top for me, and I cannot say how grateful I am. I've been using Pro Tech for a long time now, they are great Carrier technicians, always on time and are thorough about checking everything I love that they will come on a Sunday evening when it's bitterly cold and the heat goes out; no one could ask for more, and I don't mind paying an emergency call fee which is modest under those circumstances.
Fernando of Pro-Tech did an outstanding job inspecting my mini splits and recommending maintenance. I will call Pro-Tech again when I need service. Highly recommended.
We had Pro-Tech out yesterday to perform an inspection of our heating and a/c systems. We had not used them before and were looking for a company to do yearly check-ups and a go to for unexpected repairs. The tech they sent, Bradley, is the best tech I think we have ever had...be in many years in the Bay Area and many in Phoenix. He was very knowledgable, spent a good amount of time doing the inspection, cleaning and evaluating vs in a hurry to get to the next job and having to come back to redo the quick job. I don't know if all their techs are as thorough and informative as Bradley, but if you are looking for pro....try Pro-Tech.
Great honest service. They were on time and got right to work. Fixed my AC mini split condensation leak, wasn't necessary to replace the pump thankfully. I appreciate there honest service. The tech took pictures as he went along, so I could see what was happening. That was very helpful. He reassured me that they will come back if there were any issues or problems. I now have a nice cool house. Thank you for your professionalism and integrity.

Branden and Bradley were prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, and fun. They explained everything they were doing, in detail, and answered all of our questions. They provided suggestions, recommendations, and options. The follow-up to their visit was also prompt, and provided exactly what was promised. I cannot say enough about the positive experience and excellent service! Pro-Tech will be #1 for our service needs from now on.
Having seen the Carrier heater/coolers in a friend's home, I knew they worked well. My friends told me the men that would come install the equipment were friendly, worked hard, and did a great job. They were absolutely correct. I couldn't be happier with the whole process from start to finish. This is also true of the electricians that were part of the installation. I will happily tell others of my good experience with Pro-Tech.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!! Not only do I have an AC unit that cost me almost $4,000 that is still not functional after a year and a half, but the staff is rude and confrontational every time I've called about it. I've literally never had an experience with a business that is as bad as the experience I've had with this company, and I'm about to contact the Better Business Bureau to investigate. Just called Carrier and they agreed that the way I was treated by this company was not right, and they will investigate further, as this company is an authorized dealer with them. Pro-tech's sales person represented to me that the process of having electrical installed with a new AC would be easy and although they don't do the electrical install themselves, they would have an electrician they work with a lot come out to do the electrical while they were in the process of installing the AC. They did not recommend having an electrical estimate done before the AC install, because the sales person was confident that the electrical would come in at around the range of $200-$400, which I was fine with. Fast-forward to when I've signed the contract with them, they've mostly installed the AC, and they have their electrician out and his estimate is over $700. I tell them that wasn't the verbal agreement that we had when I agreed to the install, and they launch into a bunch of excuses about how they don't control what the electrician charges, and it was up to me to get the estimate ahead of time. If that was the case, then why did your sales person NOT recommend that to me in the first place? Why did he confidently tell me a price range and get me to sign the contract before I found this out? I feel like they were dishonest and I got screwed, and because most of this was verbal discussions and agreements with their sales person, I don't know how much proof I'm going be able to provide to anyone I'm going to try to have investigate. However, at one point the sales person did at least feel bad enough to offer me a wifi thermostat (that I don't want or need) because he at least kind of admitted that he had done wrong, but other than that, they've been nothing but hostile to me every time I've called to try to resolve this matter. I'm writing this review because I'm exhausted, spending time each week for over a year contacting electricians and trying to figure out how to get this AC working, and this company does not stand behind their word or their work. I'm only hoping that I can discourage anyone reading this from getting themselves into a similar situation. If nothing else, know that whatever their contract says they don't do, you need to get an estimate for BEFORE you sign their contract and they start doing the work. You CANNOT trust what they say without getting those estimates.
Oh, and by the way, while they were doing the work, the workers would often leave at lunch time and say they'd be back in 30 minutes, and then not come back till the next day. That's really frustrating when you're someone who works and needs to plan meetings and be places, and they ended up finishing the job behind schedule and actually were rude to me when I told them I wasn't available on the day they wanted to come back because THEIR workers disappeared for the rest of the days they originally said they'd be there and have the work done. Pretty much the only good thing I can say about them is that the furnace and water heater they installed have been working fine for the past year and a half (which is apparently more than can be said for a lot of companies in this town, according to friends). Santa Fe needs some better plumbing, heating, and air companies, for sure!
Pro-Tech is always responsive and they come when scheduled and do great work. I have an annual contract with them to service my HVAC and they are proactive about scheduling appointments. Would not use anyone else in Santa Fe and highly recommend them.
ProTech installed a mini ductless system for me about two years ago. They were timely, professional, and courteous through the whole process. The cost was very competitive (in fact, it was significantly less then the other two bids I got). SInce then, they (Brandon or Fernando) have performed 2 annual inspections on the system. They set a time to come, arrive at that time, and performed a thorough inspection of the system. I have had excellent experiences with them and would recommend them without any reservations at all.
