We were very confident in Ryan throughout the entire process of changing over from a traditional hot water heater to a more efficient "on demand" tankless water heater system. They also insulated our entire house from top to bottom. The team found ways to insulate areas that were clearly loosing heat for us. Finally, while they were here we had them demolish and replace a damaged ceiling and windows in one of our bedrooms. The crew was efficient and all members very respectful. The job was completed in the quoted time frame and we would recommend them highly.

I would & I have recommended Ryan to friends & neighbors. I have used them for small maintenance jobs and I have also used them to replace my entire HVAC system. After the HVAC system replacement, you couldn't even tell they had been there - they left my home spotless. Everytime they have been prompt, friendly & efficient. Great Company! I have been a customer of Ryan Inc for about 5 years. In 2014, Patrick talked me into installing two Navien NCB-240 combi-boilers at my 2-fam home in Jersey City. Basically, one combi-boiler replaces a boiler and a water heater. It was one of the best decision I ever made. The Navien systems are so efficient because you get more output for the money.

Fast forward to the present, I had Patrick visit me at my recently purchased Rutherford home to install another Navien NCB-240E combi-boiler plus insulate my attic with open cell foam.

Ryan Inc has many financing options which is a big plus compared to competitors. Also, if there is a rebate available during the time you decide to go with Ryan Inc., they will take care of it and apply the credit to your invoice.

I always learn something new every time I meet Patrick and his crew. Patrick is very knowledgeable on everything there is to know about high efficient applications that can be applied to your existing home no matter the age of the home.

We were away and came home to find house temperature of 88 degrees. Ryan installed AC years. ago. Called Ryan at 10:30 next morning. Alex arrived before 12:00, looked at the system, believed problem was capacitor in compressor.. He replaced this (somewhat expensive item) and explained what he was doing. He worked cleanly and quickly. He also identified that the fan needed lubrication and added it. He was gone in less than an hour, problem all fixed We are very satisfied.

I have to say Ryan is hands down the best company to go to for your heating and cooling. They worked so hard to replace our boiler system and were so quick and professional. I also have to mention they are by far some of the most friendliest people you could ever meet, which was an extra bonus. Five stars all day long. : )

Today was my first appt. using Ryan Inc. who came very highly recommended by a friend and neighbor who has been a customer for years. The gentleman who came to my home was John Haydu and I must say I hope he continues to be assigned to my jobs in the future. John was every professional, pleasant, patient, polite, and efficient. He was very engaging in conversation and has a good sense of humor, and gave me a great tutorial about my unit and every step he took in assessing and servicing my air conditioning unit. He was very respectful of me and my home and concerned about cleaning up after the work was done. For me it was a pleasure to do business with Ryan Inc. and having John assigned to my job.

I'd just like to say I am delighted with the heating (NAVIEN) and cooling system I had installed in 2011 by Ryan. The 3 zones make a tremendous difference. It was a big job that took over a week to complete. The crew was wonderful and worked diligently. My most recent experience when the GENERAC generator was installed. Jordan did a great job and is a very conscious worker and extremely knowledgeable.

For both projects the crew represented Ryan in a professional manner and it was most impressive that they cleaned up after themselves.
Also, if something requires service or just the annual maintenance the staff is prompt and attentive. They are great to work with.

I would absolutely recommend Ryan. The company installed high efficiency boiler and along with 5-zone baseboard system for the whole house. It would be hard to imagine how I could pull off the whole house renovation plus addition without them. The renovation work was divided into three stages as we were living in the house. Ryan's crew was always there as per schedule and Mike Kolodziej, knew almost everything. Because of dust from construction, the boiler's filter got clogged a couple of times and Ryan sent technician to clear it without any charge. Patrick offered invaluable advice for my basement insulation that got nothing to do with the heating system. From time to time, I hear horror stories about renovation. I am grateful that I get to work with Ryan Inc., Patrick, Tim, Michael, Dave, Crestina, Palmira... the whole team. Thank you all!!! Look at this beautiful 5-zone heating system. The hot water tank is almost invisible!

This company did a massive amount of work in our home, taking 3 months to complete. The centerpiece of this work was the installation of a Waterfurnace Series 7 geothermal heating and cooling system, but they also replaced all of the old fiberglass and cellulose insulation in our attics with new open-cell spray foam insulation, did a huge amount of ductwork, replaced our old electric panel with a new modern one, installed a new Rheem hybrid heat pump water heater and a new Santa Fe Impact XT dehumidifier for our basement, did a lot of carpentry work and painting, and removed our old oil tank, oil boiler and old air-conditioner.

We chose Ryan, Inc. to do this job after meeting with seven different contractors for these reasons:
1) Support
The owners of this company such as Patrick and Mike Ryan were willing to spend hours with us answering all of our questions, even giving us their personal cell phone numbers and telling us we could call them anytime ...even at midnight, for support! To us, they are more like friends than people we hired to do some construction work on our house.
The office managers at Ryan, Inc., Crestina and Palmira, helped us with the paperwork that had to be completed to get permits for the construction and the paperwork to make us eligible for the various federal and state rebates and tax credits. Crestina even did things like call us when one of the workers was on his way to our house, just to let us know he was on his way and at what time we could expect him.
2) Experience
Ryan, Inc. has been around since 1937 and they have installed about 300 geothermal systems.
3) One company to do all the work
It really simplified things for us to have one company do absolutely every aspect of this project. Typically, you need to get one company to do the insulation work, another company to do the ductwork, a third company to do the drilling, a fourth to remove your oil tank, and so on.
4) References
We visited the homes of people for whom Ryan, Inc. had installed geothermal systems and they were all ecstatic about this company.
5) Wholistic approach
Not only did they install a geothermal system, but they wanted to make it operate as efficiently as possible and so they were looking at everything from how our house was insulated to how we could bring all the ductwork within the thermal envelope of the house.
6) Commitment to the environment
Not only does Ryan, Inc. install energy-efficient heating and cooling systems such as geothermal, but they also install solar panels and construct Passive Houses (super energy-efficient houses).

As they worked on our house, we found even more reasons to love this company:
1) They really make an effort to keep your house clean as they work. They put booties over their shoes when they come into your house to avoid tracking dirt everywhere, cover your floors and furniture with plastic drop cloths wherever they are working, and always clean and vacuum at the end of the workday.
2) They did work that went far beyond what we had agreed upon in the contract at no extra charge to us, such as giving us 100 gallons of oil for free so that we wouldn't run out of oil before the geothermal system was installed, and installing extra insulation in our attics.
3) They've assembled a truly international team with employees from countries such as Portugal, Poland, Latvia, Ecuador, and El Salvador, just to name a few, and have hired people of every imaginable skin color. We love to support a company like Ryan, Inc. that has such a diverse work-force because our dream is of one human family, with members of every nationality and skin color.

We recommend Ryan, Inc in the highest possible way and for anyone considering switching to geothermal we say, "Absolutely go for it!" But have Ryan do the installation. We wanted to make the switch for environmental reasons, but learned that geothermal systems are also simpler, safer, more comfortable, less expensive to operate, and longer-lasting than systems that burn fossil fuels.
