I requested a quote for a HVAC system to be installed in a major "fixerupper" project. Evan from the HVAC side came out in a very timely fashion. His advice on the project was very sound, however a lot of the work that he insisted on doing was completely outside of the scope of what i was requesting. He insisted on a single price that was not itemized in any way, and was completely unwilling to adjust the contract to the work being defined by myself as the customer. when i mentioned that i was going to seek a second quote, Evan tried to blackmail and scare me into signing his contract immediately. At that point i was no longer willing to enter into a contract with this company and the relationship was terminated after a lot of wasted time. i signed a contract with a competitor for 1/2 the price for the work i needed.
