I had a fantastic experience with Andres Bravo. He is the most knowledgeable service person I have ever had to my house. I am setting up my Contract for the heating season and I am requesting Andres be sent to my house. I called the company directly and asked for my remarks to be forwarded to management and ownership.
I really wanted the company to work for me, and I kept trying to give them more chances, but I was let down every time. To begin, They installed a heating and AC unit on the property that both never performed well. They say they have a thermostat guarantee, in the winter it can't hit 70 degrees and in the summer it can't go cooler than 80 upstairs. Now as I go shopping for a replacement, multiple companies have told me that my air regulator is not meant for the North East. It is beyond rare to see them here and are shocked that anyone reputable would install it. My electric bill is over $400 during the winter months with this inefficient machine who's heat pump stops working when its less than 30 degrees. Great for Florida, but unheard of in New Jersey. You think they would make up this in the future.. but keep reading.
On a separate occasion, I asked them to move an AC unit 5ft so it wouldn't block the window in the basement. They gave me a quote for $2,000. I had another company do it for less than a quarter of the price. I understand 10% difference in any direction, but 500% more? For a customer that wasn't happy and was giving them a second chance?
The last time, which led to me writing the review; is that while I was renovating the basement, I wanted to convert to gas and figured to install gas lines while the basement is under construction anyway. Then before the winter, I would get a furnace, but not right now. I explained this on the phone, and again in person. Low and behold, when the estimate came.. they said that they can't do it unless I get a furnace from them as well. Apparently the job was too small for them.. Then they gave me a big sales pitch about how good they are, and why I should consider them.. yet here I was already had a system by them and was extremely disappointed in it. Had they offered me a credit on the system that was 3yrs old, that would of mean a great gesture, but nothing. Wasted approximately 2hrs of my time.
Do yourself a favor, get a few estimates. Some people say they are great, but 3 times for me they disappointed me.
Update: response to company reply to my review... When I mentioned on the phone and in person that I only wanted the gas line installed, that would of been the time to mention that they don't offer that service, not as a reply to my review. I also got a different story that I was required to have a furnace installed in order to pass inspection, which of course turned out to be false when I fact checked with the township inspector. They have since deleted their reply..
Update x 2: I had an issue with my AC, and since I still have a 5yr labor and 10yr for parts; I called for service from Edison. The technician was very polite (Reyme), and did a great job. If I was only reviewing the service, it would be a 5 Star rating; but the sales job still leaves a bad taste in my mouth... but I did feel this was worth increasing the rating to 2 star.
Great company to work with . Jordan , Dave N and Tim were fantastic . All were professional, polite and very respectful of our home . They answered all our questions about our new hvac system. DaveN and Tim were very organized, on time,neat and the installation went smoothly. We would highly recommend Edison
Jordan came to our home today to give us an estimate and was beyond professional, personable, and easy to work with. He seemed happy to find us a solution that would work with us. We're still waiting for our final estimate of course and figure out what our next steps are but in the meantime I felt compelled to write this review because he was excellent to work with.
Dan Weber visited our home last week for an estimate, and he was a complete professional and beneficial with our questions and concerns. After receiving other estimates, Edison Cooling and Heating was the best choice to replace our HVAC and Air Conditioning system.
The installers, Dave, Jacob, and Zack, were excellent! We are finally living in comfort with a working air conditioner and furnace, and we love the WI-FI.
It was a very good company and they were very professional. For past year and a half, I had a bad experience. I call them twice a year for a/C and heating maintenance since 2010. Last three visit, they would come and write up a report for maintenance and afterwards I would find (on the report) the things they did not even performed! I'm reluctant to use their service going forward. I thing they grew very big and the young crew they have is not knowledgeable and honest to what they write on the report when they finish the service call. They just changed my hvac filter and humidifier filter and it's showing 98% used? They did not even reset value when came to perform maintenance. This is the things I'm noticing, there might be important things they might not be checking! Very disappointed to say the least.
I the ladie at the front door office i think she is angle i gave her my check she was very professional at her job &Shawn in tye billing dept very rude to me over the phone to if it wasn't for tye customers he would have a job trying to act like he s a hood not kool with me &the tech guy Brian d very polite and freidly &professional at is job next year I want him back every year to due the main trance on my boiler he deserves a raise and thanku see u next year fred &frank schaum from south river nj
As always, Edison HVAC, also known as Edison Heating and Cooling, provided prompt and courteous service. The technicians that come to service are polite, friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, and took care to not drag dirt in the house as they were servicing units inside and outside the house. Very pleased with Edison Heating and Cooling and I love the fact that I am supporting a local business! I have now dealt with Edison Heating and Cooling for almost a decade. Never going anywhere else for my heating and cooling needs!
