Armstrong Duct, Vent, Hearth & Home

Hello, I hired Armstrong to clean my air and dryer vents. I appreciated them coming a little earlier than stated as they had a large job. They were professional explained the complete process. and did a wonderful job. They were very clean. This is the first time I’ve had this done, and I didn’t know if I would have dust flying around but that did not happen great service, very professional, and I will definitely hire them again.

The techs contacted me and arrived about an hour ahead of their scheduled time! Very professional and courteous. They explained how they clean vents and ducts and were very thorough in their work. They were careful around furniture, and they left the house clean. I highly recommend Armstrong.

Armstrong was great from start to finish. I called on Monday, spoke to a gentleman who was very helpful and they got me on the schedule within 2 days! Andrew came and did the work on my house cleaning the dryer vent. He was on time, called when he was 30 min away, professional, friendly, and did a great job. It was also very reasonably priced. I won't hesitate to use them again in the future!

This was one of the worst experiences ever. They showed up almost 30 minutes later than they said. Aside from the truck, they had no shirts or any other article of clothing or logo to identify them as with the company. One of them looked so stoned or hungover, I am surprised he could drive the truck. They kept saying how they were going to have to put in over time and they would be an extra charge. They were there for 5 hours when it probably could have taken them 3. One guy kept talking to my husband about his CD and music he creates, his girlfriend, his time in NH, his daughter being pregnant again - everything and anything instead of working. They went out 4 times in 5 hours for cigarette breaks and smelled up my home.
What is worse is that they brought in a piece of equipment and scratched up our freshly done hardwood floors. They also failed to clean up any of the mess that they left (installation, bits of wood, etc), they told us they found nothing in our vents when I know FOR A FACT my son has put toys down there, and they destroyed 2 of our wood stairs going into the basement. I am appalled that a company like this can stay in business. Run, do not walk, away from booking them.

Updated: 2/21/2023 - I have emailed 3 times and still no response from management (though they try to respond to me here). I thought I would include some photos of our vent that we found earlier last week. This is what this company calls a "clean vent"...???! Interesting as we can clearly still see items in there. Unbelievable.....

They did a quality job cleaning our dryer vent. The scheduling was within a reasonable amount of time, the technicians were on time and professional. They treated our home carefully. Would definitely recommend.

They showed up when they said they would. The two guys who came to do the work were respectful and polite. Went about their work promptly and worked steadily until done. The work order was detailed and I was charged what the order indicated. I received prompt polite responses from the company when I emailed them, both before and after the work was done.

We reached out as a small condo association to Armstrong when we had a number of units with prefabricated fireplaces that need to be replaced for insurance purposes. Dave George was our initial contact and he was fantastic in helping to educate our owners as to what the choices were and to continue on through the process as we selected what options we were going to do to get these into compliance. When it came to the work being done, The workers in our units were absolutely professional and left our units impeccably clean. Drop cloths were everywhere...you would never know that they had been in there working. I have now recommended Armstrong to several others after our experience, and have nothing but the highest regards for the work they have done.

Anderson Duct, Vent, Hearth & Home was scheduled weeks out to clean duct works on April 13th 2023. When the day arrived, I took the day off from work to be on site for the cleaning. Employees from Armstrong showed up and moved their equipment onto my deck within their 3 hour window to start the work, sharing they would be back within an hour to begin (early afternoon start). Employees occasionally thereafter came onto the deck to smoke cigarettes and take pictures of the landscape/view but didn't communicate they would be further delayed. As their equipment remained on our deck, we assumed they would start work at any moment and stayed at the unit. This went into the night when we realized they had simply left without telling us or moving their equipment from the doorway. Equipment had been placed in the way and remained there through the weekend until the Monday when equipment was picked up but no cleaning was provided. A representative then called and rescheduled a cleaning for May 19th. Again, a 3 hour window for their arrival to start work (12pm-3pm) with us needing to have someone stay home to let them in and be present for the work. Today at 1:34 a representative called to say they would again need to reschedule.
Just terrible communication and after the first experience, lack of communication and terrible professionalism (not to mention the smoking, picture taking, leaving the equipment in the way on the deck etc), today's failure to show up and lack of communication coupled with the companies response (willing to schedule for a 3rd time, again with a 3 hour window to show up) is just signs of bigger issues higher up in the organization and complete failings of the company to provide anything close to reasonable customer service. Be warned

The office staff supplied me with all of the details regarding the process, what to expect and how best to prepare beforehand. Nick, the team leader, arrived in time, prepared, introduced himself and co-workers, began the job immediately and finished within 3 hours. When completed, Nick called me to discuss how the job went, asked if I had any questions, and informed me the office would supply before and after pictures. Our home is a nicer, cleaner space with all the renovation debris removed !
