I have been using Averill Heating and Air Conditioning for years and had been very happy with them until this year. Each year I would prepay for service for two services and cleanings for the year. A spring cleaning and service and then a fall cleaning and service. This year the prepayments options have changed to three levels of service that increase in price substantially. I called the office before purchasing my option just to figure out what I have always had. I was told to go with the least expensive and that would cover the service I am used to. Today was my first visit from the technician. To my surprise, I was told that I should purchase the Platinum Level instead of the Silver Plan I had. The cleaning of the filter was not included. This, in my opinion, is a basic service that I should not have to pay an additional $150 to be included. I understand that I could have paid an additional $35 for the service today but I felt like this should be included with each service. I advised the technician that I am VERY unhappy with this change in service and I will be looking for another company to service my air/heating units. I will complete my contract with Averill this year and then move on to another company. I know I can't be the only customer that is unhappy with this change in policy.

This is our second heating and cooling system from Averril. I woke up this morning and our furnace was not heating. My husband called Averill first thing in the morning at 7. Jack came around 8:30 and diagnosed the problem. The furnace part was not located locally. Jack fixed us up with a temporary motor and he was out of the house by around 11 am. Always pleasant. Always respectful. Always thoughtful. Thanks Averill for sending Jack!

Jack was here this afternoon for our annual Spring A/C tune-up. He phoned first to make sure I was ready for him to come out. He arrived promptly, as always, at the scheduled time. Jack really knows his stuff and always has a smile. Unfortunately, he found a leak in our 15-year-old system that will require major repair or replacement. Fortunately, he found it before it got hot -- which is the purpose of a Spring tune-up. I can't hold him responsible for the problem but can compliment him for finding it and letting me know my options. As always, Averill is a great company to work with and I highly recommend them..

Averill is a wonderful local business with the most conscientious employees I've ever come across! Because we live in a condo and share a wall with both sets of neighbors, we had to go through another person's home when installing our AC. Averill was respectful of our neighbor by being as minimally invasive as possible during the install process. The team is knowledgeable about the appliances they are installing and will not leave until they know you understand how to use your new AC or furnace. I would very highly recommend them to anyone who needs any sort of cooling or heating service!

Averill Heating and AC went out of their way to help me in an emergency. Brandon, the HVAC specialist who came to me house, was very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. The owner, Mark, really saved me in a situation where I was closing on my house and needed my AC to be fixed ASAP. He was a lifesaver. I would, and have, highly recommended Averill to my friends and family.

We called on a Saturday afternoon not expecting anyone to come out, and were very pleasantly surprised when they did! Jack saved the day and was very pleasant and friendly and professional. He even directed me to where I could find a coupon on their website. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

I am very satisfied with them. Mark came the next day after I called.He explaned the system we were getting . We even talked about our dogs and he showed me a pic.of his scotties. Mike called the day of the install to let me know he was on his way.They showed up at 8:00 sharp to start the install .It took them a good 4 hours to complete the job and they did an excelient job . I would highly recomend them if you need a new furnace and AC unit
