Woke up in the middle of the night with no heat! Called at 8am Curt was here within an hour and a half diagnosed the problem and had the furnace up and running with in a few hours. Curt is very professional and took the time to explain and show me everything.

Quick response! We arrived home after a weekend away to our AC out and temps for the next several days in the 90's+. I called on Monday late afternoon and they were able to send someone out right away on Wednesday. Curt was punctual, professional, and quickly fixed the problem. He even made the time to perform an additional service and do a maintenance check on the furnace (I told him I'd like to have a check on it then rather than calling in January when it goes out at -30, which would be just our luck!). Great service and value. 5-star recommendation!

Wow, all the reviews we read about Joel and his team were spot on! We just moved to the area 3 weeks ago. On day 2 in the new house, our AC stopped working. The seller did purchase a home warranty, but after 2 days we STILL had not heard back from the place. We decided to just skip that nonsense and find someone who could replace both the AC and Furnace since they were original to the house (1998) and we expected to have to do it sooner rather than later anyway. We called a couple of different places as our need was now URGENT (2 days without AC in 90+ degree HUMID weather and we were still in the process of moving in and unpacking) and left messages after hours one evening. Joel's office assistant Alison called us back within 30 minutes of the office opening the very next day (didn't hear back from the others until at least a day later). She was able to get Joel out to look at our unit within 2 hours!!
That sold us, we decided to go with him to do the replacement. Once we signed the contract (we did it on the spot) he actually went out to his truck to get some things and got the AC working for us temporarily. No charge. Because they were booked out a few weeks to do the new install, he said that if it stopped working before then they would come out ASAP and do what it took to get us through, whether that be another temporary fix OR to bring in a few window units. We were so impressed with them all the way around. Communication was also excellent. Cannot recommend enough.

We called to have them come look at our AC. It has been hot and our AC just hasn't been able to keep up. They were able to send someone out quick to look at it. Turns out it just needed a good cleaning of the coils. Also good that we didn't do it ourselves because our coils are unique and taking a hose to them ourselves could have damaged them. The technician also took time to talk to us about future replacement of our system (it is 21 years old). Our AC is working better now even with some still hotter Temps. We will use them again for future needs.

Refreshing from setting appointment to finished product. Had whole house humidifier installed by technician named Dustin. He was professional, on time, and arrived with face mask and protective gloves (Covid-19). He wore protective gear throughout installation. He explained the install and how to operate system after install. There were no surprises, no up-selling, and he had an extra filter for me to purchase at my request. I would recommend J Smith Heating & Air to anyone. Very professional staff, fair pricing, and great customer service.

I had Joel Smith Heating and Air replace my furnace and AC unit in my townhouse with new Ruud high efficiency units. The owner, Joel, sent his two sons and another worker out to do the job. They were very personable, very professional, and did a great job. They were in and out in about 7 hours. I selected them to do the job based on their reputation, but also because Joel was the only guy to spend more than 3 minutes giving me a quote. He listened to what I wanted, gave me suggestions, pointed out how the installation could be improved, and seemed like he genuinely cared. This is a rare thing these days. I would not hesitate to recommend them, and will definitely use them again in the future.
