I have used Godwin Plumbing numerous times over the past 15 years. They have installed a complete new water softner system, installed several hot water tanks, faucets, and other plumbing upgrades and repairs. I have always been impressed by the professional staff that provide service. They are friendly and informative. I always get a phone call to confirm arrival time. Scheduling is well run back at the store and emergencies get dealt with. I highly recommend Godwin Plumbing to others needing professional plumbing services. They stand behind their work and are easy to work with.

We just bought a new house and had Godwin come out to test our water and recommend interventions as needed.

We were all set to install a whole home system but they came and tested our water and said … “It’s good!” What company says that?

They recommended a few ideas for making our water even better but it was very low pressure based on our set up not their sales plans. They earned my trust and I would highly recommend this company to others.

Called Godwin to report a leak on the pipe on my water meter. Talked with Ty in the service dept., and he thouroghly explained what was involved, plus, he basically took over with calling the city to arrange water shut off, etc. In the end, he told me a fix that i could do before he made the calls, and, it worked! So, no city charge and no charge from Godwin. It was like having your best friend talking you thru the repair!

I am new to Godwin and recently had them replace my tub/shower trim. Carl was skilled and professional; he took the time needed to do the job right. Godwin never tried to up-sell me on any services and their fees were reasonable. I will not hesitate to call Godwin again. They earned a new customer :)

Dillon from Godwin came out to replace a leaking shut-off valve, some piping, and to install a frost-free outdoor spigot in my older home built in 1885. Scheduling online with Kathy in the office was quick and convenient; Dillon was prompt, courteous, professional, and did a great job in the freezing rain without a complaint. The pricing was less than expected, and I am extremely pleased with the service. I recommend them without any reservations, and will definitely contact them again in the future if I have need of their services.

We have used Godwin Plumbing & Hardware for many years.
We have continued to use Godwin because of their excellent service and reasonable pricing. On several instances we have had a need for emergency repairs or installations there quick response has been much appreciated. Just several weeks ago we had a problem with the sump pump and even though they were scheduled fully for the day yet they squeezed in the time for one of their very capable men install a new pump in record time. We are very satisfied with everything Godwin does and we will continue to use them in the future.

So incredibly disappointed with Godwin Plumbing right now! We have used Godwin for DECADES and have always had excellent service, however that has not been the case this past week. We called bc our water heater (which Godwin just replaced in 2019) was leaking. The tech came out and said that it would need to be replaced. When my husband called to schedule the replacement appointment they said that we would have to pay the full installation fee of $105/hour because the water heater was under warranty but the service was not. I, personally, think they should at least do the service for a reduced rate since the product that THEY put in was obviously defective. We have since talked to someone that does plumbing and he said that he stopped putting in that brand of water heater because there were so many problems. Having to possibly pay up to $400+ for the installation of a faulty product that we just paid to have put in a few years ago is bad enough, but then, after scheduling the appointment for the replacement and speaking to the manager about how disappointed we were in the replacement cost, my husband took the day off for the installation. When it was about an hour past the appointment time that they told us, my husband called to see if they were on their way and that same manager told us that he took us off the schedule because he "ASSUMED" that because we were upset with the cost that we wouldn't want the replacement. SO, my husband has wasted a PTO day to sit at home for nothing. The manager then told him that they couldn't get out until Monday, meaning my husband would have to take another day. After insisting that it was poor customer service that he would have to sacrifice another day off of they admitted was THEIR mistake, the manager agreed to have them come out on Saturday to get it done. On top of it all, we have now gone without hot water for a week (*note - the leak was NOT causing us to not have water before the tech came, but since he was there, we have not been able to get the pilot to relight). So disappointed in the very poor customer service, the rudeness and attitude of the manager and the lack of company responsibility. We certainly do not blame the techs. They have always been hard working and pleasant, but I think it might be time to find a new company that backs up the products that they install AND have better management!!!

I went to several places to find a particular replacement stem and I was striking out all over Grand Rapids and the surrounding areas. Godwin was my last stop. Even when the first stem Colton found online didn't work, he didn't quit! He consulted with a colleague and ordered a different one which happened to be the one that worked! These guys will do whatever it takes to help you! From now on, Godwin will be my first stop!

In my experience, it's true that if I can't find it anywhere else, Godwin's Got It! For this experience, I especially appreciated Bob's competence and knowledge, professionalism, and personal attention to my need in finding and ordering a hard-to-replace light fixture part that I needed to replace. I used to live by there. Always could help me out with what ever I needed. Move. Tried big box stores for my furnace filters. Nobody had right ones.
