    I had a Raypak pool heater installed 12 months ago by another company. The machine still under warranty had some display issues but otherwise worked great. Paul quickly replaced the Raypak motherboard and gave me a few pointers to prolong the life of the unit. H&R took care of dealing with Raypak warranty department and completed the job quickly. I would for sure use R&H again. Thanks Paul!

    The employee that came out was totally rude and told me that he couldn't fix my furnace because it was old and that I needed a new one which would cost $5,000.00. This is before he even looked at it or knew what the problem was. The furnace was working except it was clicking off every few minutes. He said it was the electrical box and proceeded to open the the electrical box and started pulling wires out which shut all the electricity to the house out. Mind you the furnace was running before he did this and I asked him if he was a licensed electrian. He said he was not and I asked him not to mess with the electricity, but it was too late. Now I had no electricity and no furnace. He stuffed the wires back into the wall and I asked him to check the fuses. He had blown two fuses which after replacing gave me electricity back in half the house. He tried to bill me for coming out and I said no way after what he had done to my house. The company then sued me for not paying the bill!! By the way I got several other prices that were much lower and another company came out and fixed the problem in 20 minutes . So beware of this company!!!!

    We called a hartford and Ratliff to fix a dip tube in our hot water tank. One of their technicians came out was here for 20 minutes and said it wasn't the dip tube that was the problem it was the mixers in the shower and he billed us and left. Next day our plumber gets here and starts drilling through the walls of our shower except he can't find anything wrong. So he decides to check the hot water tank. Not only was there a leak RIGHT ABOVE THE TANK but the dip tube that this guy said was working great (said was healthy and doing it's job on the invoice) was DISINTEGRATED. So We called them they never got back to us we called them the next day and my 65 yo mother got screamed at by someone there saying that he came out and diagnosed the problem and she wouldn't be getting any refund.

    Had a water leak on one of the plumbing connections of my pool heater and also a leak in the gas tubing to the igniter. Tech showed up. Fixed the water leak and replaced the tubing. Very pleased. Ran for a couple of weeks and I noticed a problem. Something was burning inside. I figure some sort of debris had got inside after some harsh storms we had so I turned it off. Water temp was fine and with the solar cover on I wasn't to worried. A week or so later, my neighbor noticed the heater was off but the box was really hot. We popped it open and there was a huge flame near the pilot. So I shut the gas off and called Hartford back out for a second visit. Cam showed up. He took thing apart, ran some new tubing to the igniter cleaned it up, and it fired right up! Excellent job. Before I let him go, I wanted to check to make sure there wasn't still a big flame, so we both took a peak and the big flame was there. It turns out a small part called the orifice must have fallen out of the igniter on the first tech visit so a new igniter went in. Runs perfectly now! Very pleased with the service provided. When the first tech came it was the end of a exceptionally hot day and it was honest mishap. I worked in construction for over 20 years and understand nothing goes perfect every time. I'm not upset, Hartford made it right. I was very pleased with the work and the professionalism of both techs and the office staff. I definitely plan on calling for any future work I will have and highly recommend them to anyone who asks.

    Excellent company to do business with. I needed a 50+ year old boiler, which heated both my home and my water, de-sooted. I spent a week being told horror stories by other companies and getting flat refusals to do the job. Called Hartford & Ratliff, received service within 24 hours. Technician who came out was great in every way. I WILL be using Hartford & Ratliff for ALL future maintenance and service on my boiler. And when the day comes for replacement, they will also get my business!!!
