I would not recommend Petro as your Oil Delivery company . Customer service treat's you like an inmate trying to get your ration of oil . They lost approx. 6000$ worth of business in my two family house because of this . I switched my service to a different Oil company , if Petro had acted in a professional manner , they'd still have my business .
there prices over market prices in at least $2 a gal and i ask them to stop delivery and they did not, but they came in and fill my tank with 300 gal and charge me 6$ a gal when the price in my area was 4 to 3 .75 $ a gal dont use them

One star is too much to give Petro Oil. I have been a long time customer. I had a new boiler installed and a new oil tank from them. It’s all well & good until you try to contact them about an issue, then you will never ever get to someone who can help you. And each person blames “the other department”. It’s manipulative and completely unhelpful. And then there’s my more recent issue which finally made me take the time to find a new oil company; I had my usual 1 year contract at a specific oil cap price. They waited until 10 days after it ended and without a call, no notice, filled my tank to the brim at DOUBLE the price. I called to ask for them to honor the original contract, which they didn’t. But they offered $150 off. At which point I was connected to “another department” and paid my tab in full. Then I get a call saying they would only honor the $150 off if I signed a year contract again, which I would NEVER do! And why would the credit department have told me to pay my tab minus $150 when I never signed another contract????? Andrew, was who promised me the discount and connected me to payment center, was asked to call me back (never called when the appt was made and he says “that’s the other departments mistake to promise my time”). Now they claim to not have gotten the bank-issued check. So I made an appt with my bank to get proof it was sent and cashed by Petro. I submitted this information to Petro. They use the excuse that it’s probably on a ghost account somewhere and they can’t find it. That particular check, which funds came out of my acct, is for = $556. Now I get calls multiple times a day for a bill I have paid, a check they have cashed, and every person I speak to says they can’t tell “the other department” to stop calling me until THEY find the check/funds they cashed. It’s ridiculous! Please STAY AWAY! Stick with a smaller company who you can talk to people who don’t try to pass it off to other departments. None of them know what they’re doing! And they are obviously commissioned to sell annual oil contracts because they sell HARD and if you go along for a bit and then say no thank you, you’ll see their attitude instantly change and they become rude (Andrew, William). Only decent person I ever spoke to at Petro was Angela.
Of note: I paid $300/month all year and my settlement was for >$1500 in August.
The Infohub messaging device that alerts me to the operating condition of my generator stopped working back in March 2022 and needed to be replaced. Despite much difficulty in dealing with the vendor and a VERY LONG delay in receiving the replacement, the Plainview supervisor remained persistent by following up with numerous emails and calls. Eventually the part was delivered the last week in October 2022 and was quickly and professionally installed and is now up and operating again. I cannot thank Petro and especially the Plainview supervisor enough for the outstanding support and service.
Replaced an old AC and reached out to other firms for estimates - Petro was the fastest/best price responder. The actual AC replacement work was done flawlessly and I got a post-project call to ask for my feedback which tells me this is a company that cares about the quality of their work
Overall unpleasant experience with customer service staff.I would request to be taken off of automatic delivery, Petro would still deliver $800.00 worth of oil and send a bill ,despite me telling them months prior I did not want automatic delivery.When inquiring about it, no manager or supervisor available to speak to .Customer service staff will hang up the phone.Terminated service and switching companies.
I was a auto.drlicery customer for over a year and half prices started going up they skipped me no problem, I called for a delivery and it was delivered at 6.81/ a gallon. Meanwhile everyone else i s getting 5.oo+ in change i called to complaiand was hung up on. Awesome customer s er vice on top of highway Robbery at those prices!
