Since the service tech solicited a review before he left, I’ll be more than happy to oblige.

I had a co leak. Panicking, I called this company as they had the best reviews. They were fast and responsive. They came to my home within 48 hours and offered me the option to call someone else considering the circumstances and understood that this was a safety risk. Considering I called on a Friday I had no problem waiting until Monday. They arrived prior to the window giving me a heads up 25 minutes before. That’s where the good part of this story ends.

They arrived and took pictures of the unit. Expressing immediately that it was so old that it can’t be worked on. Also that the manufacturer had gone out of business. (They haven’t by the way, I just played along to hear more lies, they’re right out of New Hampshire...) then they determined with a sniffer tool near exhaust to the chimney that it was leaking somewhere in the back, possibly cracked, and I needed a new unit. They offered me 2 options. A $12,000 high efficiency unit that would require construction to the outside of the building to install. (I live in a condo and I have a combo unit that was a bit too steep) OR I a $6,700 smaller option with a coil style water heater, thusly cutting my water heater from 20~gal to 3-5gal. That was it. No other options. They said that there are no units that will fit in my closet because hey don’t make them anymore. Wait what? Really? After 30 years of technology and engineering they haven’t made these smaller and more efficient?? That’s when I thought that something didn’t sit well with me. So I got a second opinion...

Guess what. I don’t need a new unit. As soon as he opened up my door he said “I can tell you without diagnosis that you do not need a new unit” going on to say that nine times out of ten it was because it was so hot and humid and the hot air can not escape as easily as it would on cooler drier days. The only other thing is that he told me that there is an automatic shut off and it will trip the shut off if there is an issue with the exhaust. He recommended to monitor it while on and off with our co meter to determine if it’s exhaust that’s escaping from units below or from our unit.

Thanks for the $59.00 assessment fee. Without you guys coming by to check it, I would have never have found this amazing new tech that educated me instead of making me feel like a stupid, helpless, girl.

It’s so frustrating when you put your trust in someone and they just lie to you. Being very matter of fact about it not even educating you.

New Era plumbing contacted me immediately after I called them for a plumbing problem at home. They immediately scheduled a time to come and showed up right on time (even a few min early). They diagnosed the problem and gave me a quote before proceeding. They were very thorough and careful not to make a mess. They did a great job and explained everything to me really well. We have had the best experience working with Danny and his team. Although we have had numerous plumbing issues they have been there to rescue us. They are punctual and always accommodating. Most importantly they are polite and professional. I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

New Era was hired to correct a plumbing issue/shower install. The crew showed up exactly when they said they were going to and went straight to work. Charley took the time to explain all the various steps he was taking and was very informative along the way. 100% trustworthy and great work ethic. I was very impressed. I had a pleasant experience from scheduling my service, the consistent follow-up leading up to my appointment, to the technicians that fixed my AC unit. The staff didn't pressure you and presented numerous options. The even wore booties to keep dirt and debris out of my home. Thank you for an amazing job

Friendly couple of guys showed up and got the job done quick! They were quicker to give me replacement part options than to actually explain the problem which had me scratching my head at first but all was cleared up. Would call again in a heartbeat!

We are very pleased with the work SDP plumbing did to get our very old A/C unit up and running today. Charley arrived on time and was incredibly thorough throughout the process. He explained things to me multiple times to make sure I understood the issues, and gave me many options for fixing the problem. We are crossing our fingers that we don't need heating and cooling again soon, but when we do, we will call them back. Thanks for a great experience!
