Unreasonably high quote for an oversized HVAC system. They also have no way to unsubscribe from their spammy promotional emails.

I called Green Energy Mechanical as my tenant did not have heat about a month ago. Their master plumber came and replaced the Water Circulator Pump for the Navien water heater and charged ~$900 for the small job. They sell the same part at a plumbing supply store down the street for $90.

About two weeks later there was still no heat. I called Green Energy to come back and Manny, the tech who came, did not know how to open the lockbox where the keys to the basement were. He called me three times because he couldn't figure it out and threatened to reschedule my appointment. He finally figured it out after I told him to Google it. He diagnosed the problem as a faulty thermostat, even though the thermostat was 2 years old. About two weeks later again Manny showed up to install the thermostat and called me to let me know that the Water Circulator pump blew out because the GFCI blew out beneath it and they said the wire from the Circulator Pump to the control board needed to be replaced. Manny admitted to me that he did not run any tests or diagnostics when he came two weeks prior and said I probably did not need a new thermostat. With a discount, they charged me $131 for a thermostat I didn't need. Now after an electrician comes to put in a new GFCI, Green Energy says they can replace the recently installed circulator pump for $700.

I had an electrician come replace the CFGI and he noticed that plumber who installed the new circulator pump pinched the wires within pump and caused some kind of short circuit. The wire from the circulator pump to the control board was tested and was fine. Manny gave a diagnosis on electrical work even though he is a plumber. It has been over a month and the tenant still doesn't have heat because of the lack of professionalism and laziness from this company. Also, I have paid ~$1,100 between all the visits and repairs, still without heat.

Do not use Green Energy Mechanical as they charge ridiculous prices and do not own up to their own mistakes. Because of the lack of effort from their plumber, I have wasted weeks of time and money when this could have been solved at this point.

Update to the below review we posted immediately after completion: Upon install, we were told that wifi modules were not working and that the install team had lost the remote for the main mini split and that these items would be ordered and installed. 7 months later, nothing has changed. We have reached out to Green Energy via telephone several times and despite being told we would receive a call back to discuss options and timeline of when to expect these items, have heard nothing back. Meanwhile, it's getting to be the cold season and we don't have a remote to control the main mini split to turn it off or on! We are dissapointed in the lack of communication about these issues and that the install that was supposed to be completed 7 months still isn't done. Not sure I would recommend them going forward.

We switched from oil heating to a full mini split heating and cooling system. Install took four days just as pre-specified and everything went great! Heat pumps are working well and very quiet. Fantastic attention to detail (checking to make sure all holes for pipes were sealed with silicone, positioning of ductless mini splits were exactly to our liking). We also really appreciated that green energy mechanical was focusing on training the next generation of technicians. It was great to see an expert technician walk through the details of the install and take time to teach a younger in training employee! Lastly, they were great with our two barking dogs throughout the install!

Matt and Jeb were great. Knew what needed to be done and checked everything, while responding to my questions to keep the system optimized. Great company to have by my side.

Endrit and Vedrek worked together as a team with Endrit taking the lead, they are an incredible duo, they arrived on time, Endrit promised me that they would remove the old Heating System/Central A/C and install the New State of the art Heating System/Central A/C in one day so that my family would not sleep overnight in a Cold House. They delivered efficiently and effectively. We had plenty of Heat and intermittent Heat pump from the A/C. Work is of very a high quality, they respected my house cleaned up, Endrit took the time to explain how to operate my new system. I am very please with Endrit and Vedrek. I am happy like a lark. Highly recommend Green Energy, Endrit& Vedrek. I would use Green Energy in a Heartbeat again. This Company is of a 5 Star caliber!
On 3/6/23 Rick Myers the Plumber was sent to my house to replace my leaky Heat Exchanger in my Navien tankless Hot-water Heater. Ricky did a very good job, he arrived on time assured me that the problem would be fixed, He did a very good job in a timely manner. The Heat Exchanger was replaced, he cleaned after himself. I am very satisfied with the work. Highly recommend Rick and Green Energy. They are number one in my book. I will use Ricky and Green Energy again. They Deliver!!!

I worked with Green Energy Mechanical on a whole home heat pump installation. They were professional, thorough, and very flexible. What I appreciated most was that they're really committed to reducing our reliance on fossil fuels and addressing climate change directly. The staff we worked with were really experienced and it felt like they were also treated well by management. It was slightly more expensive than some other quotes I got, but the relational approach to business and the warranty made it worth it.

On Monday evening I lost all hot water coming to my kitchen sink. I investigated only to find water pouring out of the basement ceiling. I immediately shut off the house water and began searching plumbers.
Tuesday I began calling all the plumbers I had used in the past, plumbers my neighbor had recommended and random plumbers I found listings for. Of my dozen calls some numbers no longer worked. At most numbers I left voicemails (none were returned). One company I reached scheduled me for the following Wednesday. A week and a half without water! Tuesday night my brother gave me the number for Green Energy Mechanical. He had used their HVAC services and was happy with them. He also knew that they had branched out into plumbing.
Wednesday morning, I called Green Energy. The person that I spoke with contacted one of their plumbers who would try to get to me that evening after he finished the project he was currently on. Paul the plumber contacted me at about 6:45pm. The other job had run late and (since I already had the water shut off) asked to reschedule until the next day.
Thursday at 7am I met Paul in driveway. It took us 2 hours of searching to determine where the actual leak was coming from. I had seen the rain in my basement but source was hidden in a wall on the second floor. Paul the plumber got into the wall (a fun tile, concrete and steel lath construction) confirmed the leak, did a quick parts run and repaired the leak. By 2pm Paul the Plumber was on his way to his next job.
Paul the plumber was neat, respectfully polite, efficient and got the job done quickly. Best of all, he showed up when expected, returned calls/texts and got the job done.
I had water turned back on six days before the next guy would even look at it!

Irvin, Glenn, Vendrek and Luis did an absolutely phenomenal job installing a 4-zone heat pump system on our house. They were kind and professional at all times and we're always willing to answer questions and provide information on the project. They also had to work on the two of the hottest days or the year, and for that and everything else, I can't thank them enough. I would highly recommend this team and Green Energy Mechanical to anyone considering any of their services.
