    Southland just finished replacing our 21-year-old air conditioning and heating unit. From start to finish - initial quote to job finished - they are an outstanding company.     I have been having AC/Heating issues since I purchased my home in 2004. I’ve replaced the condenser, coils, and furnace, and still have had problems. This year, it’s been really hot. I called to have my AC checked, and the company told me that my problems were caused by attic ventilation, unit sizing and insufficient insulation in my attic. After speaking to other companies, I decided to contact Home Depot. I called them on a Thursday, and they referred me to Southland Air Conditioning & Heating. Southland scheduled an appointment for me that Friday. Southland’s representative, Peter Ford, came and went over everything with me. What I was most impressed about was that he didn’t just tell me what was wrong, he showed me. He took measurements, wrote up quotes and told me my options. After, he scheduled a crew to come to my home along with an electrician to handle other issues I had. Monday morning, Michael, the installer, showed up to my home with a helper. They were knowledgeable, professional and courteous. They did not waste any time and cleaned up afterwards.They completed the job by noon Wednesday, which included a new system, ducts, grilles, thermostat, etc. Their overall performance was outstanding. I will refer them to all my family and friends. Thank you, Southland!

    We are very happy with our new Mitsubishi mini split a/c and heating system which was installed last week by Southland. They did a premium job and the system works so flawlessly. Jeff the lead installer knew exactly what he was doing and everyone on the installation crew was a pleasure to work with. We also appreciate all the help contributed by Peter Ford in giving us advice on what should be done and how to work with the Historic District Landmarks Commision's regulations for houses such as ours. We can easily recommend Southland to anyone and have absolutely no complaints.

    Southland, sorry it took me a year to post my review, but I’ve had a year of great AC since y’all replaced my failed unit. Southland’s service and hospitality is top notch. I priced out 5 companies and they were the best. After getting their quote, they said they could do it the following day. But I held off as I wanted to get another two quotes. Unfortunately when I decided to go through them they had understandably already booked their installers on another job and couldn’t start for another three days. However, knowing we had a kid and it was a scorching hot summer they provided and installed two window units to hold us over... free of charge!

    Also, we went through Home Depot which enabled us to get two years of 0% financing, which was super helpful.

    Thanks a lot Southland, we’ll be using you again when our second unit goes out in the next couple of years!

    I am in my 37th as year field engineer for a major medical diagnostic imaging manufacturer. I know what true customer service is.
    Southland AC & Heating Inc., in my opinion, is the standard bearer of a full service AC & Heating company, Period.!
    I needed to have my entire HVAC system including duct work replaced. I had researched ac/heating companies in the greater New Orleans area over a period of 18 months. I had been thru at least a half a dozen face to face meetings with contractors. I was less than satisfied and discouraged as most pushed their own agenda and not what was in my best interest. Then a friend recommended Southland as he had a very good experience in replacement of his system.
    I called and made an appointment for the next day. Excellent communications!
    On 3/18, I met with co-owner Cliff Hubbard. For the next 3 hours, yes, 3 hours. Cliff inspected, measured, accounted for details and unique challenges such as drain requirements, physical size limitations due to existing build structure, etc. We settled on what would be the best fit system for my situation. The price was very fair. It was the middle between the highest and lowest quotes that I had received from the other companies.
    Cliff outlined his company mission statement rooted in military training and background. He explained in detail exactly how his team, lead by installer Jeff, would perform the new system project from de-install, removal, installation and clean-up. And "that when the installation was complete you would not even know they had been there".
    I can testify that is EXACTLY how the project went. My wife was home throughout, 2 days from start to finish 3/23 - 3/24. And - you would not have known they were there!
    One minor issue cropped up about one week later: the drain pump would from time to time make a tumble/bumping sound. Service Tech Kelly arrived the same day I made the service call. He identified and improved the issue and with determination, completely resolved it on his return visit.
    A+ across the board for: Quality, Value, Professionalism, Responsiveness and Punctuality!

    It is with great confidence I recommend this excellent company!!
