Keefe's carelessness could have killed someone.
The short story: Keefe's buried a bare live electrical wire just 3 inches underground spanning from my house through the garden to the generator located at least 8 feet from the house. There was no PVC conduit covering the wire the entire span it was underground. Anyone using a shovel could have been electrocuted.
Long story:
Keefe's installed my generator in December 2019. They returned 9 times in the next year to repair it. Ultimately, their final repair that worked in October 2020 involved separating a wire that had been in the main conduit and running it in a separate conduit. The generator worked until 3 days into Ida. The starter began repeatedly triggering until shards of metal began flying from the machine. After they replaced this but did not address the abnormal sound of the generator, I hired a better company.
The new generator company immediately identified two gas leaks that were responsible for the abnormal sound and replaced a faulty (and newly replaced) starter.
The final straw was when my electrician, who was relocating a buried landscape electrical wire, came across their bare electrical wire just inches deep in the dirt. If you look at the photos, you see they had conduit covering the wire as it entered the ground by the house and again as it emerged at the generator, but clearly to save time or money, did not have a continuous conduit where it was most needed: to prevent someone from accidentally cutting into bare live wire with a shovel.
I reported them to the BBB and they never responded. I suspect because there is no excuse. Incompetence at generator installation is one thing. Knowingly putting lives in danger is criminal.

There was a little sticker shock because of the difficulty of the job, but Jacob took the time to explain everything to me and then replaced an electrical outlet and capped off an unneeded gas connection. As long as everything goes well down the line with the outlet and gas cap, I will remain a happy customer.
I am rating overall, but had a minor concern with communication. After requesting, txt updates and receiving them, someone called and left a message requesting a call back. Thinking my appointment would be cancelled I called only to have someone tell me the same information that was in the txt. There was no update or information on the arrival of the electrician. That was annoying because I had to leave work to make a call that was not needed. Everything worked out and the job was ultimately completed to my satisfaction.

Bryan was an amazing tech and very knowledgeable! I’m happy to have a A/C guy! Thanks!

The technician was very knowledgeable and took videos and pictures of everything he did and showed them to me. He took his time and didn't rush through the job. He was on time and was courteous.

Not only did Mr. Jeremy come out and fix the issue with the air conditioner but he also installed a UV system to clean and disinfect our system. He was excellent and extremely knowledgeable and professional. I liked that I was called and texted with a picture to identify the person coming out to my home. And I was called and informed as promised 45 minutes prior to the visit. He was quick and efficient too!

Keefe's installed our air conditioner and furnace. They were very expensive, but they did a good job and we're happy with what they installed.
The first time we had them service it, the tech said they should have installed a carbon monoxide detector, even listing it as an immediate repair needed, but wanted us to pay $375 for one! I called to ask whether it should be covered by warranty, they said they'd "look into it," and never called back.

Your work was professional, on time, cuterious and took time for me to understand my problems. I am Glas to know you also do electrical work. It is great that heater, ac and electrical work can be done all ar once.

I had an appoitment scheduled with Keefe on Christmas Eve, which was considered pretty important to install an electrical outlet, so I could plug my stove up to help prepare Christmas Dinner (emphasis). Additionally, I received a text message from Keefe confirming the appointment would move forward the day before. Thus, I stopped contacting other companies.
On the day of the appointment, I did not receive a call or text, so I called to confirm a time to expect the technician to arrive. The receptionist told me that she would get back to me. Then she called me thirty (30) minutes later on the day of the appointment stating that the appointment was cancelled. Against my better judgment, I reluctantly rescheduled for Monday after the holiday because it was still faster than any other company would agree to come to the house including my normal company.
When the technician arrived, I immediately regretted not just waiting for my usual company. Since we just renovated our entire house, I have a reasonable knowledge of how long and difficult a job is and most importantly should cost. I began to believe that the technician was making the job seem more difficult than it actually was and/or he was not knowlegeable of what I was asking him to do. The technician then proceeded to quote me nearly $500.00 to install an outlet, which is a 20 minute job at best, and I told him I was no longer interested in Keefe, but I still had to pay an $89.00 fee.
Because Keefe attempted to price gouge me, I just waited until our usual company was able to install the outlet. The technician for my usual company inspected the job and to my relief immediately said "this is simple" and went to Ace Hard Ware and purchased one small part that Keefe advised would drive my charge up hundreds of dollars and installed the outlet. It took him five minutes or so!!!

We had updated electrical connections installed at all of the outlets in our home and are very pleased with the work. Ray was very professional and was on time for the project. We are confident that this will resolve our electrical issues.
