R&D Indoor Comfort

We had our parents home A/C system went out on Friday before Memorial Day weekend and filed a claim with our Home Warranty company. R&D got the order. Received a call from Randy on Monday(holiday) for appointment for Tuesday, arrived on time, diagnosed the motor, explained that he’d have to order parts and as soon as they came in he’d be back. It was back up and running on Thursday morning as expected! Cannot say enough about this Contractor, the expeditious manner in which this repair was made! I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS FOR YOUR A/C needs

My warranty company at first called a different service to service my furnace and when it was determined it needed to be replaced it was 2 weeks before that company informed me they didn't have a contractor to perform the work. Then R & D was given the job. Quick response to my concerns. The crew spent almost 12 hours on a very difficult furnace replacement and did an excellent job. The old furnace was about 25 years old and in a very challenging spot to be installed but the guys went above and beyond to get the job done and followed up the next morning to make sure everything was in working condition. If and when I need more HVAC I will make sure the warranty company calls R & D and no one else!

We hired R&D Indoor Comfort to install a new heating and air-conditioning system. Allen arrived a few minutes early to review the current system and prepare the estimate for the new system. He explained the systems and provided information on different options. I received the estimate later that day and it included 3 options and corresponding rebates from energy providers so I could choose what fit our budget best. The install team arrived as scheduled and removed the old units and installed the new ones. They did a wonderful job and left the house cleaner than they found it. We are very happy with our choice to hire R&D Indoor Comfort to install our new system. We were also happy with the value they provide as the price was very reasonable for the equipment and professional installation.

Jacob, the technician was awesome and fixed my a/c unit quickly. He was very knowledgeable and professional as well as the lady who scheduled the appointment. I highly recommend this company.

Like some other reviewers, the only reason I worked with R & D was because they were chosen by my home warranty company. The claim was placed because there was a leak coming from the indoor component to the hvac unit and was causing water to build up in the floor. It was an older unit and the condensation line (pvc pipes) was a little worn and needed to be replaced. I explained to the technician multiple times that I had already confirmed by re-routing the line that the leak was not coming from that portion or the drain and that I would replace the lines myself since they were not covered by the warranty company. I insisted that the leak was coming from inside the unit but apparently my opinion did not matter. The service order states that the drain was blocked and broken and that I also needed a new thermostat. Once his work was complete, he advised me that I owed $173.75. My deductible for the home warranty company was $125. When I asked him why I owed over the deductible, he explained that the work he did was not covered by the warranty company. I did not authorize for him to do any work beyond what was covered and when I told him that, his response was that R&D just started working with the warranty company, he was unsure of the stipulations for what was covered and that I needed to take that up with them. So basically, I paid $173.75 for a new thermostat and still had water building up in the floor.

There were 4 screws holding a face-plate on the unit, so it was pretty easy to remove. Once the face-plate was removed, we found the real cause as shown in the pictures below.

Our HVAC stopped working during the last snow, and they came quickly and had it fixed in just a few minutes. Only charged a service call. Highly recommend!
Edited to add. 6/2/2022 Our air conditioner stopped working, so we decided to replace the whole system. R&D did a great job! Friendly workmen and they had me cooled down in just a few hours. We've used this company for years and I always trust that they are honest in what we need to do.

Awesome company. R&D advocated for my family and I with the home warranty company to make sure we received the proper equipment needed given the dimensions of my home. This was crucial as my old unit had gone bad making me run on emergency heat at extremely high costs to our family. Despite the wrong equipment being ordered by the home warranty company, R&D stayed on them and ensured that the proper Lennox system was finally ordered. During installation the crew was prompt, professional, personable, and cleaned as they worked. My home is now noticeable warmer and I look forward to lower energy costs.

R & D was contracted through my home warranty. You always hear horror stories about home warranties and coverage, but I didn't have any issues. Randy came out, diagnosed the problem and assured me it was covered. My heat went out during the ice/snow storm and he was able to make it out there the next day. He diagnosed the problem, was able to reprogram my thermostat to allow for emergency heat, and ordered the new part that day. I had to wait a few days for the part to come in, but Randy called as soon as he got it and came and installed it ASAP. All was covered under my home warranty. He was fast, polite, and did a good job. Definitely recommend them :)

My HVAC caught fire one night. I filed a claim the next morning through my FAHW. R&D called me within 30 minutes to set up an appointment to come and inspect the unit. The technician was on time and so courteous. He explained the damage to me as well as how the process would work. They got my claim approved in less than a day. New unit arrived at my house 3 days later and was installed. Again, great, friendly people. Had to order a few extra parts for the control panel but again, they were helpful and informative. I never had to call anyone or do anything. They took care of all of it. They finished up while I was away on vacation and notified me every step of the way what was going on. My new unit is incredible! So quiet and works great! Can't say enough about this team and will definitely use them again! They are my go to team for HVAC!

I have a home warranty and R&D was sent by them to repair my A/C and just recently my heat. Allen who I first spoke with was very polite and very understanding and was able to schedule my appointment within a few days when the A/c went and again was quick to get us scheduled for the heat as well. The technician who came out Adam was right on time both visits, very knowledgeable and polite, both of my dogs liked him too! (They are Leary of strangers) He Worked quickly and thoroughly checked our unit both times he was here. Keep in mind with the warranty SVC he could only inspect what was reports broken. Both times I was very satisfied with the service I received from R&D and will continue to work with this service provider for many years! A+ company in my book!
