    My AC went out last night. I was able to call in this morning at 8 and they scheduled an appointment. Luckily they were able to get in and arrived the same morning at 9:30 . The serviceman was great. He looked at the outside compressor and explained the capacitor had gone bad. He then noticed the motor had been replaced with a larger unit and called Lennox to verify it would not negatively effect the unit. Afterwards, he inspected the unit inside and I now have cold AC. The price was fair and I will continue to do business with Heart of America Service.

    After 5 bids and 3 other companies telling us our compressor was "shot". It turned out to be a connection part! So grateful for the Honesty of this company. We found our new HVAC company! Thank you Heart of America!

    I own a home in Lenexa and like most of the homes in this area built in the late 80's to early 90's, my heating and cooling have been abysmal. Mostly due to improperly placed or badly installed ductwork. So we purchased a brand new system from a competing company. Even after pouring thousands and thousands of dollars into a new system with (some) new ductwork, paying extra for more trips to install dampers and a second "main" trunk, we are still overheated in the summer and shivering in the winter. We communicated our needs to the other company we were using but never really seemed to be taken seriously. We sure paid for it with serious cash though!

    Thus, we come to Heart of America Service! We heard about them through family and even though we were skeptical, tried them out. With only two separate service calls, we were treated very nicely and our needs were met. In fact, with just two trips to our home, H.o.A.s. managed to uncover YEARS worth of neglected maintenance from the other company. They also spent more time listening to my thoughts and concerns about my house and the needs of our heating/cooling than any other company we have ever used.

    I would say for that alone, they absolutely deserve 5 full stars. I haven't even mentioned yet that I also fair paid prices for services we needed and received. We were not charged for our techs to go the extra mile, but it appeared they did it anyway! I will call them, hands down, every time.

    Called early Saturday morning, and received a message to call one of two numbers. Called and spoke to Gene Rathjen who took my address and was here within 15 minutes. Very polite, and knowledgeable as he checked all systems and determined it needed refrigerant. Had our house cooling within minutes. I was blown away. Also pointed out a small patch of poison ivy lol...near the AC unit. Thanks, I will take care of that, and really appreciate your courteous and efficient response to our AC problem today.

    We have been with Heart of America for decades -- beginning when all of us were young parents until now when even our grandchildren are mostly grown. They've taken care of us and every house we have owned -- primary home, rental properties, daughter's house, lake house -- and they have seen us through most imaginable heating and cooling opportunities and challenges (and, before they specialized in only HVAC, also electrical and even construction). We have their regular maintenance service and have also had full flood catastrophes, regular failures from obsolescence and wear, new possibilities through remodeling. Without fail, they all -- Ernie, Gene and everyone involved with HASCO-- are smart, thrifty, knowledgable, timely, capable and truthful. They won't sell us services or stuff we don't need and will be sure we have everything we do need, as soon as they can get it to us. which has included nights and weekends. When we travel, we leave housesitters the Heart of America number and tell them if ANYTHING goes wrong at the house, call Gene and Ernie and if they can't deal with it, they will know who can. These folks have been fundamental to our ability to be homeowners. Plus, they are kindness personified. The whole Heart of America experience is everything everyone wishes for in a service relationship and almost never finds.

    My wife and I bought our circa 1923 house 3 1/2 years. Almost immediately the boiler went out as we have radiators. While we had a warranty none of the 3 different HVAC companies we contacted had a clue on how to fix the problem. Most said we needed a new boiler which would have cost thousands (warranty would only cover a portion of that expense). That's when out of desperation I called Heart of America (HOA). In about 1 hour Gene had the problem diagnosed which only involved a minor repair. HOA has also fixed my central air-conditioners and garage heater. Dependable, professional and honest, the best in KC!
