Lowes hired A&J to repair my front loading washer. After 1 month of waiting for a door latch, technician installed the wrong part & shorted out the control board. They closed out the ticket as "Repaired," & had me make another claim. Then after waiting for 2 more months, they closed out the ticket again! Told Lowes that they had repaired my machine, when they did not. I haven't heard from them again, as they are not taking my calls! DO NOT TRUST THIS BUSINESS!!!

We bought our home in August 2019. The day we moved in, we immediately noticed our central AC unit wasn’t working. I contacted our home warranty company on a Thursday and they told us the soonest they could send an HVAC out would be that next Tuesday (it was a holiday weekend). So Tuesday rolls around, and one of A&J’s techs came out and determined the problem was a Freon leak. He charged it with Freon and then left, which didn’t fix anything. A couple days later, they sent out a different guy, Kenny, who said our unit was too small to cool our large house. He temporarily fixed the problem, luckily because summer and the 90 degree weather were coming to a close. Before he left, he basically proposed a deal with us that if we paid him under the table, he would condemn and replace our furnace in November, and then to call him before summer 2020 began so he could condemn the AC unit, too. I’m not exactly sure who was getting scammed in that situation—my household, the warranty company, or both. We did not accept his offer. We replaced our thermostat in January, which now doesn’t work. In April, our furnace quit working while it was still cold out. We had a third worker come out and quickly fix the problem. A week later, it starts to heat up outside. We’re in Iowa, where the temperature constantly changes. Our AC unit was making a whining noise, we could feel air escaping out of the furnace, and there was little to no cool air coming out of all of our vents. Kenny comes back, worked on something within the furnace, leaves, and the problem isn’t solved. We called him back a few weeks later, this time pretty irate with the issue as the weather is starting to get hotter and humid. He decides to condemn our AC unit and came back within a week to install a brand new one along with some duct work (which the warranty company didn’t cover, so we paid about $250 out of pocket for that). He told us to wait 2-3 hours for the house to start cooling off. 6-7 hours pass, the temperature is going up and not down according to the thermostat, so I call Kenny and he comes back. He told me to be patient as the humidity and heat in the house will take some time to leave the house, and then charged the unit with Freon. If he would’ve said that in the first place, instead of 2-3 hours, I wouldn’t have wasted his time or mine by calling him back. He also suggested that we keep the curtains on our sliding glass door closed because the sun could be messing with our thermostat. Tried that. A couple days go by, nothing changes, and our new unit is making a loud hissing sound. Called Kenny back. He ran some tests and said everything was fine. He released some of the Freon he had just put into it days before, cleaned some coil to stop the hissing, and left. Before leaving, he then suggests that our furnace filters need changed more frequently and that we need to keep all of the basement vents closed to force the air into the upstairs where it’s the hottest. More days pass, no luck. And then I start to notice water leaking from underneath our furnace (located in the basement), along with more water leaking through the basement ceiling in a separate room, which ruined the ceiling tiles as it pooled onto the floor. They sent out the guy who worked on our furnace in April and he spent half of the day there to investigate the problem, but claimed the leaking was not related to the AC or furnace. Odd, considering it’s literally coming out from under the furnace? Still, nothing resolved. My household and I all work late night shifts at our jobs, so having to wake up early every other day became tedious and we just suffered with the heat for a couple of weeks. I put in a service request (Thursday, July 1st) for them to come back, along with a very annoyed email I sent to their company email address which was never responded to. My mom (roommate) received a call from A&J Monday the 6th saying that they were sending someone out to fix the problem, to which she snapped and said what a horrible job they repeatedly keep doing and we’re done giving them our business.

This company is not reputable!!!!! They lied about a warranty issue that I had with my stove top. They told me in my kitchen that the crack in my stove top was a thermal crack (which it was) They reported to the warranty company that it was from impact. I did not drop anything on it . So now it isn't covered. Thank you very much.NOT!!!!! They were not interested in getting the truth to the company and admitting that they had made a wrong documentation. The manager Little Jim had a very bad attitude and wasn't the least bit interested in helping me and acted as though I was a bother. Not good business practice. I would give them a negative star rating if I could.

Worse service ever. I have a washer under warranty with GE. These people are authorized providers. Guy shows up and I tell him that it’s not filling up all the way with water, he runs no test, doesn’t even see what the washer does when it’s turned on and says that it needs a new board and he had to order the part. Literally was here for 5 minutes. 2 weeks later the part comes, he changes it, says it should be just fine after the calibration cycle. I try to wash clothes and now it doesn’t fill with any water. I call GE and the GE guy calls the guy who “fixed” my washer and he tells him that the washer won’t work because it’s on an unstable surface... WHAT?! He told me it would be fine after the calibration cycle and didn’t mention ANYTHING about the ground (which is perfect stable and the washer has worked for the last 2 years). SUPER SKETCHY AND POOR SERVICE. Don’t do it.

UPDATE>> another appliance repair company came by and was able to solve the problem. The new board that was put in by A&J had not been programmed. Floor was perfectly fine by the way. Washer works just like new, imagine that.

One of the best service I have ever received !! A++ review. I didn't have a washer that was working correctly called them on a wed and they got me in on Friday. The technician was amazing I couldn't have asked for a better tech. He was helpful and talked me through his repair! Office staff was honest while I was waiting for parts but I was pleased with the service! I would refer them to anyone.

I set up an appointment with A&J for a tech to take a look at my washer, which I suspected to be on the verge of breaking down as the wash cycle was taking an abnormally long time.

The tech arrived promptly, right at the beginning of the four-hour window given to me a few days prior. I also received a call from their office about 15 minutes prior to his arrival, which was something I didn't expect.

The tech inspected my washer and was very upfront about the fact that the repair, although not yet necessary, would be rather expensive, and that it might be wise to continue using my machine until it completely broke so I could and save my money toward buying a new machine.

I was very impressed by his honesty as he could have easily talked me into a costly repair. The man was very friendly and even gave me several suggestions on replacing my washer.

In the end, my visit from A&J was a very pleasant experience, and I was only charged for the service call. I highly recommend their service!

STAY AWAY! DOES NOT HONOR WARRANTY! We contacted A&J for repair in Feb per the LG site as they are a certified repair center.
2/20: Tech diagnosed fridge, stated "board was bad". Part ordered and paid for in advance ($254.39, including installation). States there is a 30 day guarantee on their work.
3/6: Tech returns to install the part. Part is not the correct one. Was confused, didn't know why it didn't work. Repair man states will "talk to his boss and call us back". No call received, we followed up multiple times. A&J called back, states there is another version of part, will order but costs more. Paid another $42.67 for other part.
3/10: New part came in, tech installed it. Fridge plugged in and still did not work. States they called LG (in Korea) for advice. They stated they said "the compressor is bubbling so the fridge should work". It does not.
3/22: Call to A&J to request refund as the fridge as still not been repaired as quoted and it is within 30 day time frame. Refund was denied for service and the part, stating they did what they were told to do (came to our house to do the repair). Explained that they did not fulfill their end of the contract, they misdiagnosed the problem, we ordered and paid for wrong parts and we still have a fridge that is broken. They again refused to give a refund.
We've filed a formal complaint filed with BBB.

A and J sales are a customer first business that I would highly recommend to anyone. They are prompt with their service and do right by there work. Trust me, they've been out a couple times to get our ac up and running and I couldn't be happier with them. Even though I met them due to our home warranty company, I will continue to use them for our future heating/cooling and appliance issues or needs in the future... And I definitely can't and won't say that about other companies associated with the home warranty company. Thanks Kenny, Al, and Heather for your superb customer service and getting our house comfortable... Our pups even like you.

If I could I would give them no stars. There customer service is poor unless you give them kudos on the false information they provide. We had them come out because of our ac and they were choosen by our home warranty. The guy came out took a few pictures of the inside system, walked out side and just stared at our system out side for all of five sec literally (have on camera) them got in his car and some 25 minutes on the phone came in and told me he could not fix it as it was a thermostat problem and left. The thermostat is new so I called the other company who installed it had them come back out only to find out there was a long list of problems that if the tech from A And J would have look would have found them. This company does shoty work BUYER BEWARE!!

My dishwasher had died an early death and A&J was selected to be the vendor to swap it out. They arrived when they were scheduled and quickly installed the new unit.
