    We were pointed to A&J by our appliance manufacturer as a warranty servicer. However, the unit we had was out of warranty. They indicated a bad part and needed to order a new one. Once ordered & charged, they came to complete the repair. However, the tech said the wrong part was ordered and had to re-order. They would contact with me with next steps. It’s been 2 months and multiple attempted contacts by me and they have become completely unresponsive. No longer answering phone calls at all.

    When working with 2 companies simultaneously, often you have one that outshines the other. a & j sales stayed in constant contact throughout our dealings with a home warranty company.

    They backed up our calls to that company to expedite the receipt of a replacement HVAC. They were considerate, professional, efficient and left the area clean of debris.

    We were glad to have a&j sales staff and the services they provided.

    I can not say enough good things about A & J Sales. They were prompt, honest, thorough and courteous. They are one company that I think gets a bad rap if you just look at the reviews, which I have a feeling have more to do with the warranty companies than A&J sales themselves. I am here to say that I was really impressed. We have a home warranty and I called and talked with John about getting our heat pump looked at. They got someone out the very next day. They came and determined that we needed a new heat pump. Curtis, our tech, was so thorough in telling me why the heat pump couldn't be fixed, a range of possible extra charges that the warranty company may charge, possible issues that may go along with getting a new heat pump put in, ect. There was absolutely no surprises. They also really stayed on top of the home warranty company and got a new heat pump and new thermostat put in within a week, which I felt was SUPER fast considering the last time we used our home warranty with a different company it was over a month before our item was able to be fixed. These people are honest and upfront with any extra charges that might incur and truly stand behind their work. Even when they left they told me not to hesitate to call if anything didn't work properly and they would come and get it fixed. If we ever cancel our home warranty company we will continue to use A&J sales. Thank you so much for being so prompt and helping us get heat again!

    After Whirlpool agreed to replace my refrigerator (the refrigerator portion didn't cool) they sent the replacement to A&J Sales & Service to install. Whirlpool informed me that the refrigerator was delivered to A&J on August 4. After several phone calls, A&J finally found the time to bring me the refrigerator on August 30 (all this time they were sitting on the refrigerator, I had to refrigerator at all). I confirmed several times that they would get it up to the 2nd floor, install the new one and remove the old refrigerator. Each time I was told "yes". When they finally delivered the refrigerator on August 30, they just dropped it off on the sidewalk at the base of the stairs to my condo. They were there a total of 13 minutes and left. When I called to complain, I was told that it was "big" and they weren't trained to take it up the stairs. It is a standard size refrigerator. I had to wait an hour for them to come back and at least move it into my garage. Another company had to come out and take it up the stairs, install all the lines and remove the old refrigerator.

    I would never recommend A&J Sales & Service to someone who needed actual "service". I also called Whirlpool and recommended that they never use this company again for any warranty work.

    Company was set up twice to repair my ice maker. This was a warranty from lowes. This company did not call and no showed both times. Worst customer service I have ever seen , would not use this company for anything.Also they lie, said they had wrong number, but called me on my cell phone to confirm the appointment. So don't believe anything these guys tell you.

    I have an American Home Shield warranty that covers appliances and some major things in my home. My furnace started acting up and wasn't heating our house. I called AHS and they set up the appointment with A & J Sales. When I read the reviews online, I became super nervous about how the appointment was going to go and how long it would take to get my furnace up and running properly again. (Keep in mind, it was 2 degrees outside this morning and the indoor temp of my house had dropped to 49 degrees when we woke this morning). I absolutely could not let this go more than a day or so at most. The reviews left me believing I was going to have to find another option and find someone else to handle the repair. Reluctantly, I decided to give them a chance and wait to see if they called me soon to set up a time to come look at it. To my surprise, I received a call shortly after 9 AM this morning and the service man was to my house by 10:30 AM and finished fixing the problem by 10:50 AM. The pilot ignition had burned out and needed to be repaired. The technician was friendly, professional and did a good job getting my heat up and running again.

    I don't usually leave reviews on here, but felt I needed to give a little balance to the bad reviews as well since they handled my case quickly and professionally. I can't speak for others experiences, but for me, they did a great job!

    A&J sales was contracted through my warranty company to repair my refrigerator. They first called my husband and told him in a voicemail they would be coming out on Friday, then called myself and said they would not be coming out until Monday. I then got a text on Friday explaining the tech would be at our home in 20 minutes. The tech was nice and explained things but said the parts would not be in until Wednesday ( and that was fine because our fridge was still working just freezing up at times) However 2 hours after the tech left our fridge completely quit working. Myself and the warranty company tried to call the on call number Friday night with no response. I called Saturday morning to get a man on call stating he only does HVAC on the weekend and could not tell me anymore. When I asked if he could tell me if there was anything I could look for on the fridge that the tech may have accidentally unplugged he told me know and said he will email the manager but it was pointless because they do not check their emails. When I called on Monday and asked for recommendations for what I could do as well as if they could be able to check if the parts were available in Sioux Falls to pick up. The receptionist became very short tempered explaining they can only order parts from their provider then changing a sentence later saying if I go find the parts myself then they can have a tech install them. When I asked for the name of the parts so I could go buy them myself she refused to tell me.I then talked the manager, who was just as rude if not worse. Explaining the parts would not be in until Wednesday and they would send someone out until Thursday and I should not waste my time looking for the parts because he will not do anything for me anyways. When I asked for further suggestions due to having to throw my food away due to not having a fridge and now having to go out to eat he explained I should not be complaining due to them doing 45 days out on their HVAC installs. I then took off work on Thursday to wait for the service man to come out to fix the parts. it was 4:30 and still no one had been out. When i called and asked if he was running behind the receptionist then stated she forgot to put the part on his truck today and he could be out sometime tomorrow. I would not recommend this company to anyone who would like friendly, timely service. The tech we had out was helpful and I feel he did his job but the management and office staff are unprofessional.
