It was hot, our A/C had pooped out, and we were looking for immediate service. We weren’t the only house in town needing help, because nobody was returning our calls. Nobody, that is, until we tried Custom Climates. Ryan made a point to fit us in his already busy schedule and came out to our home that same day. With his associate Allen’s help, they attempted to get our AC back up and running, but regardless of their attempts, our unit wouldn’t function. They made the astute observation that our A/C was ancient, so from there, Ryan guided us as we considered a new unit with greater efficiency. We’ve already heard such great feedback, read highly rated reviews and further learned about Carrier as it is one of the top brands on the market. That, paired with Custom Climates superb customer service, our minds were put at ease as we moved forward with installing both a new AC and matching furnace. While our new system was on order, Custom Climates lent us a window unit, which provided a degree of relief from the scorching temperatures. They were prompt in responding to every email and never left us hanging when we had inevitable questions. When the time came to install, they were friendly and professional, knowledgeable, and honestly went above and beyond our expectations to guarantee our satisfaction. HIGHLY Recommended!

We've had the chance to work with Ryan and his team twice this past year (2 different homes!). When our carbon monoxide detector went off this winter and our furnace needed to be completely replaced, they went out of their way to squeeze us into their busy schedule so we could get back into our home as quickly as possible. Not only did they treat us with kindness and answer ALL the questions I had about what they were doing, the quote they provided was so much more reasonable than we were expecting and it was accurate! I hired Ryan with Custom Climates to do the heating and air conditioning plus in-floor heat in my newly constructed home. I am SO glad I did! Ryan went over every detail of each item with me throughout the whole process, put it in the simplest terms so I could easily understand everything that was going on, always kept me in the loop and updated me at the end of each day he was at my site. These guys are the best! We purchased an old home with a boiler and radiator system that had been off for awhile. We were a little nervous about starting it back up but Ryan had it cleaned up and ready to go in no time. Thanks again!

If you have an opportunity to use Custom Climates for service, do it! We have used them for services over the last three years and they have been nothing short of amazing to work with. They took the time to understand our needs throughout our various projects of remodeling duct work or when it came to getting our furnace and a/c to run more efficiently. There were times when we needed to do something cost effective and they would always understand and do their best to fit out budget but still get us quality products and service. This past winter we were in despair as our old furnace would not hold up to the frigid temperatures and with a baby in the house we felt desperate. Custom Climates came to the rescue and we had a brand new furnace within 48 hours of contacting them. Highly recommend Custom Climates and we will continue using them for all of our maintenance in the future.

I've worked with Custom Climates 3 times and have had 3 great experiences. My first experience was when I was building an exterior garage and they put in my mini-split system.

They were great to work with, so great, that I called them back to do another mini-split system. I live in a farmhouse near Kinnick Stadium, built in 1900. Myy upstairs bedrooms don't have any air ducts (but my bathroom, living room and porch have plenty!) Customs Climates worked with me to find the best solution to get heat and air into those bedrooms (and efficient and keeping the house looking period). They did a great job of running the mini-split lines up my gutters and also using the gutters as the drainage.

My third experience with Custom Climates was a simple furnace repair issue. My furnace started making loud noises......I'm not a furnace guy and work all day. I already had 2 great experiences with Custom Climates, they knew my house and most importantly, I trusted them. I gave them access to my home (when no one was home), they came over, diagnosed and fixed the problem. They communicated during each step of the process and did a great job.

This is a great company and I really enjoy working with people here.

Ryan and Al were very professional and explained in detail issues related to the air conditioning unit at this home which was replaced. Their work was timely and efficient.
In addition, they assisted the Free Medical Clinic in Iowa City with replacing some units and post replacement servicing. Their work at the clinic was prompt and convenient. Thanks Guys

Excellent Customer service. Had an issue with my air conditioning unit - not cooling and contacted this company and they were able to get me in around other jobs. They arrived on time and were very professional and courteous. Identified I had an electrical problem instead of an air conditioning issue. Once my electrical issue was fixed, they stopped back by to verify that my unit was charged correctly and working correctly. Appreciated them following up with this service, since my unit was over 15 years old. I didn't need any more, but at least now I didn't have to worry about that becoming an issue. They also performed a general cleaning of my unit and were not going to charge me for the trips to my house, but I paid for a service call, for all their help in troubleshooting the problem and ensuring I wouldn't have to call them back for charging later on if it wasn't cooling correctly. Appreciated everything you did to help get my house back to a reasonable internal temperature.

Our AC went out on the hottest day of the year to date. Ryan and his team were able to come out that same day and recharge our unit for a reasonable price. My HVAC provider of choice and I fully recommend their service to anyone looking for quality HVAC service. Thanks Ryan!
