Needed a water heater and I had used I&M before to replace another water heater. Overall I am very pleased with the job and enjoyed being able to carry on some small talk while the job was being done. I was told before the job was started that some water may spill out and the dolly may leave some marks on the carpet when the old heater had to be taken out. The owner went out of his way to ensure I understood what I needed to know about the heater and the area was cleaned up nicely after the job was done. One minor thing was that the appointment was set for 11am and a little after 1pm I received a call saying he was on his way. I realize he was busy with another job but I could have done some things during that time while I waited. By the way Tom Cone is writing this review.
I called because my furnace was acting up and was told it was $70 to diagnose the problem and instead was charged $135 terrible customer service. Then he wanted $800 to fix found another company that only charged $300 with parts labor and service call. If you want to be swindled and overcharged thats all they are good for at i&m
I had an issue with a gas heater in my breezeway. I was connected to I&M through my home warranty. The warranty company agreed to replace the heater. I was charged modification fees. $90 for electrical modification. The modification was for them taking a box cutter to the thermostat line that was previously connected to the old heater. Well worth $90. $90 for gas line modification. The gas modification was a $10 flexibility gas line hose that connected to the existing gas line to the new heater. Well worth the $90. Finally there was a $60 modification to cap a roof vent. The vent was never touched. Then they took out a 30,000 btu heater and replaced it with a $150 18,000 btu heater. The heater does not connect to the thermostat like the previous one. Basically I have a high, medium, and low setting. No way to set a temperature. When confronted about the modifications, they stated thatโs what the home warranty said they could charge. I was then threatened to pay up or he would remove the heater and sue me. I see why they have to use the home warranty for business. Not honorable and defiantly not honest.
Got wonderful service from this company when my furnace needed repaired right before Christmas. The technician communicated beautifully with me about when he would be able to come out, arrived in a Santa hat, and was professional/polite/efficient. ๐ ๐ป๐
Jeff was super friendly and professional. He saved me a lot of money by repairing my old furnace instead of selling me a new furnace. Heโs very knowledgeable when it comes to this stuff. Thank you Jeff!
I was connected through my home warranty for my air conditioner and everytime I talked to this guy he was rude and talked down to me.
I'm a first time home owner, I'm sorry I've never dealt with this before but from the sounds of it I'm not the only one who had experienced this.
I absolutely refuse to let this guy on my property. I asked my warranty company for someone new or I'll just skip the warranty.
Anyone who works with people should know better than to talk to their clients like they are the problem. Sorry for anyone who has had to deal with them.
This company approach to solving my problem was very straight forward. Not a lot of showmanship but very responsive to my needs and delivered on their commitment. It's too early to rate the furnace but the a/c delivered as promised without upselling.
When I called the woman that answered the phone was very personable and professional. Once I told her that my furnace needed repair she asked me what kind of furnace it was. I had called several places previous to I&M and no one else asked that question.
Their office called before the technician arrived to let us know he was on his way.
The technician was very personable and informative. I would definitely use them again if I have an issue in the future.
Jeff was great, our boiler that was installed ten years had a repair issues and he handled it ASAP. Always quick and helpful. We love our unit he installed and have reduced our energy bills a ton!
I've read some other reviews and guessing I was lucky today based on others. I&M just left my house. Very fast service, very easy to talk to, very honest. Was able to explain in detail with me what happened while also keeping it simple enough for me to understand. Checked before leaving to ensure I understood everything he explained.
