Jeff and Larry at I&M Heating installed a new furnace and AC at our home in Bristol. Very nice job and the guys are good communicators while getting the job done right!!
Great experience. Jeff came quickly to fix our dryer and he got the parts we needed as soon as possible. Came to finish the job right after the parts had been delivered. Good at calling ahead to let us know he was on his way. Stayed in communication the whole time.
I called Jeff out to my home for a Hot Water Tank Vapor Sensor issue after I primed my basement walls before painting. He changed the sensor and could not figure out why it wasn't turning back on. (I have an AO Smith Water Heater less than 1 year old) He then said I needed a new Thermostat and that it would cost 300 dollars. He could however work with my warranty. After Guilt tripping me about being on the phone for an hour and researching online all possible parts he claimed he couldn't get it until the following week. AT THIS POINT, I asked him how much we were at for a total charge. He claimed I pay him for his EXTRA leg work involving time to run and get the part, researching the part, and install. I told him I would go with someone else obviously. The total would have exceeded 400 dollars. He guilt trippes me, threw a fit about losing money and wished me luck......Very professional....RIGHT? I called home comfort experts. They came down, reset my water heater by calling AO Smith in 15 minutes. 150 dollars. This company and this guy are either Idiots, or complete scam artists. If he read the manual, he would probably still have my respect and my business. I will never go with this company or recommend them to anyone. Dont waste your time with this place, they are only looking to waste your time and money.
Jeff is fantastic. We called him on Friday & he came on Saturday to work on our boiler. The company that worked on it prior told us they'd get to us "sometime". He fixed it promptly for a fair price. That was something that two other companies had failed to do. He's a skilled tradesman who knows what he's doing. Highly recommend!
Had previous positive experience with this company, so called on a weekday morning w/a plumbing emergency. Owner was calming & walked me through temporary steps, saying he would fit me in next day. As good as his word, he was there the next day (he called, too, to let me know he was on the way) & was able to fix the issue quickly as he had deduced the needed parts from our phone conversation. He explained the problem & his procedure to repair, & made sure the issue was resolved prior to leaving. He was respectful of my space (not leaving any mess), personable & professional. I would definitely recommend him.
I’ve had I&M to my home for a few repairs and some routine maintenance over the past few years. It was average service/price etc. Recently, I called for a radiator to be serviced. Long story short: it ended with a $270 bill for the problem to not be fixed. I called back and Jeff said he would call me with a time and would come over that day. He never called. A few days later I call and he doesn’t answer. The office doesn’t answer either. They are avoiding me because they know coming to my home would not give them anymore money. I would not recommend them at all.
Jeff was called for an emergency refrigerator repair. He was prompt and professional. A part, an evaporator fan motor, was needed to complete the repair. Jeff ordered the unit and returned after it was received, to complete the replacement. The refrigerator now works as required. The price was reasonable. He also gave us excellent advise for any future major appliance purchase.
Our central air went out and we thought we had a freeon leak. So we called our home warranty and they sent out I&M. Jeff came last week Friday, inspected the unit and advised us there was no leak but to change our air filters. We did and it worked again. The next day it went out again. We called him back and he wasn't able to come back out until Thursday. (Understandable being summer- in high demand). He replaced the entire motor and even maintenanced a rusted open air vent in our basement. The unit was again in working order. A few hours later, it wasn't working AGAIN- so we called him, expecting voicemail as it was getting later in the evening. He returned the call almost immediately, returned within the hour, was about to change our thermostat when he found that my husband had unplugged a condensor box when they were cleaning out the unit with a vacuum. Great service. Very nice working with Jeff and getting such quick responses from him.
We have had two terrible experiences with this crook of a company.
The first we called solely because they were the name next to the warranty on our malfunctioning water heater. He called and only after charging us $200 for the “after hours visit” did he say “oh, the warranty wasn’t with me.” At no time did he mention that this would be an after hours visit or that he wouldn’t honor the warranty on the heater, despite us discussing it when we initially called. AND he didn’t even fix it on that first call. In the proceeding days, he charged us for a trip to pick up the part, and ANOTHER after hours fee for a time that HE chose for his second visit to repair. The total was around $600 for what amounted to 1.5 hours of work AND our heater still occasionally smells like gas and doesn’t seem to work at maximum capacity. We tried to call and say as much, but he neglected to call back until after the warranty on parts and labor was up.
The second experience was through our home warranty company and we only allowed him back because he was available to fix the fridge/freezer immediately. Well, it was never completely fixed and when we called our home warranty again, they ordered him back to fix it, but he has yet to call us or fix the repair. Instead, he just keeps telling the warranty company he is unable to get ahold of us, despite the fact that we haven’t received a single call to schedule repair. Home warranty companies and individuals need to stop using him and put him out of business.
My heating stopped working and I called the manufacturer and they gave me I & M as a local company to call. I called on Friday and they got the part and installed it on Saturday. Great response, great service, quick installation. It was important to me that the company that serviced my heater was someone that the parent company recommended.
