I was out of state, helping my sister and had a problem with the hot water knocked in my shower. I had my daughter call Allen Home services and the quickly came out and fixed the problem. I would recommend them as they have done other work for me as well and I have been pleased each time.

Replace thermostat. Tech was polite, installed standsrd thermostat, replace a fuse in furnance. He set the unit to 68° and furnance came on and all seemed well. Paid the bill $250.
The furnance ran all night never shutting off using a electric fire place and stove to heat part of the house. So manually turned it off before going to work. Called tech, said he's busy call the office and set up a day for him to come back. Tried to explain I'm using my stove for heat. Call the office.
Called another company, sent tech over in 3 hours. He looked at the thermostat before doing a thing and asked if your tech went outside to check whether my A/C had a heat pump or not. I said no and he went out to check it. Came in and said no heat pump and pointed to a slide switch and pushed to the right. He said it was set for heat pump is why it blew cold air. Flip a switch $49.

Sharing with you something that I think is relevant to hiring a professional for work. Last week an employee of this company, driving a company truck crossed the center line and hit my car on a country road. Took off the mirror and a few scratches, but certainly could have been much worse. The young man (Bradley) was kind and apologetic and assured me that his company would take care of my car and that he was distracted and didn't realize how far over he was. Accidents happen and I felt assured he would do the right thing.
Now, either he changed his story or his boss (owner) changed his story for him. I am now paying for the repair of my own vehicle and declined to get the witnesses information as I trusted in what he said.
Short of it....would you hire anyone to work for you that has no integrity? Maybe they do the job the right way.....maybe they don't. Bottom line is its the risk you take! I would not use this company given their lack of integrity.
