I rarely if ever write reviews, but in the case of Discount Heating & Cooling I feel the need to do so. I have been relying on "Discount" for over 25 years now and as I reflect upon that time, they have never let me down. Steve and Doug are hard working, very honest servicemen and they are also the owners. Give Discount a call and most likely Sandy will answer the phone. She is always very kind and helpful, even at 6:30 in the morning!

She'll ask what time is good for you and she'll dispatch a service person so they arrive at the time they said they would. They always call about 15 minutes before arrival just to let you know they are on their way. Their trucks are immaculate and their workers are always knowledgeable and professional. The business as a whole is always quick and reliable. They never overbuild, nor over charge. If they say something is failing, or is broken, you can trust them. Unfortunately that's a rarity in this industry. The pricing is more than fair and the quality of work is excellent. As a long term customer, trust me when I say you can't go wrong with Discount Heating & Cooling.

During a recent cold snap the heat went out in my 99 year old’s mothers condo. My brother called and talked with the owner of Discount Heating for close to an hour late in the evening. He tried to help us get the furnace started remotely, but couldn’t. The owner diagnosed the problem over the phone, found the part in Michigan and had it shipped and installed the next day! Thank you for your over the top great service. You guys are the best!!!

I was referred by a friend that couldn't talk highly enough about Discount Heating & Cooling. I was told that I needed to replace my 7 year old system by another company and I called Discount Heating & Cooling for a second opinion. The office staff was extremely nice and helpful. I was scheduled and they were prompt and curtious. I didn't need a new system. I needed a repair that was rather inexpensive. Thank You to EVERYONE at Discount Heating & Cooling for all your help. You received a new customer!!!

Had to delete my review because they decided to be unprofessional and respond with my address and unit number. Unreal. You need change big time. They put in a new unit in 2020, but it leaked. The liquid line dryer they kept trying to repair kept leaking and they kept charging (I have receipts for proof) of spending almost 10k with them. They estimate quoted me saying it's my lines leaking of 4-5k. Had a second opinion who did uv light leak, vacuum, pressure and found nothing but in the coil they supposedly "fixed". The new hires fixed the issue and I have had no issues. If you want to trust these people go ahead. But as I just stated I had to delete my old review because they posted my address and unit number and lied. Pretty sick. Watch they do it again and have to delete it again. Just be honest and real.

Extremely disappointed with the level of service I received today. I've had nothing but great experiences with this company for the last several years, using them multiple times for routine servicing and purchasing a brand new a/c unit from them a few summers back. I called for a routine service on my furnace and mentioned that it had been giving me problems that had resolved previously after being serviced and cleaned. The technician that was sent out was very young and unprofessional from the start. After tinkering around for ten minutes he said he couldn't get the furnace to turn back on and thought it needed a new gas valve. He quoted $640 and said that was the only option and that he would not be able to get the furnace functional again. I was in slight shock that my furnace was suddenly completely down after it had been working all winter. He was very short with me and demanded to know if he was going to get the part and complete the service or leave. I called the office and essentially got the same response, clearly something was wrong with my furnace from the start and it wasn't their problem that it stopped functioning after he serviced it. So I give the go ahead to get the new gas valve, an hour later he returns with the part and suddenly the furnace is functional again. At this point the tech expresses being unsure if the part even needs replaced. He says well he thinks now it may be the circuit board and has no way to know for sure. So essentially this guy is young and inexperienced and as I'm questioning him before dropping a bunch of money on something that seems to be working again, he becomes frustrated and extremely agitated, saying maybe he should have just lied and said he was certain that he could fix the problem when he's not 100%. I should have just turned him away at this point but I felt I was obligated for the part. I told him that his attitude and customer service was severely lacking and he stated that he didn't care. After completing the service I asked if he'd wait for the house to heat back up to make sure everything's worked well and he said he wasn't going to waste more time since he's paid by the hour. He said call the office back if it doesn't work and they'll send someone else out. Absolutely unacceptable. This tech should be fired based on his attitude alone, competence without professionalism is still going to lose you a lot of business. I will never use this company again.
