I would give this company 1/2 star if possible.
Appointment was for late Friday night so i had purchased the part i needed in advance.
They charge $165 hour labor which is fine.
One part i did not have was a capacitor.
They charged me $195 for the $8 capacitor.
Said it was standard.
I checked the cost at a local Hvac supplier to confirm cost on exact same part.
Black diamond told mevthat was the standard cost.
2000 percent mark up is price gauging.
Think before using this company.

Just received a call from someone at Black Diamond that understands customer service.
They are refunding the over charge which was a miscommunication between tech and service manager.
Thank you

Tre came to our house for an annual A/C system check. He was on time, polite, respectful, knowledgeable and efficient. He thoroughly reviewed all the details of this service call and answered all our questions. Thanks, Tre for the great customer service!

I have been a customer of Axberg Heating for over 20 years. They have serviced my furnace and air conditioner. I also purchased a new air conditioning unit from Black Diamond. Their service has been awesome until recently. I scheduled a cleaning and waited 3 weeks for a service appointment. I had to take off work for the appointment. The appointment was cancelled today and I was told I would have to wait a full month for the next cleaning service. I was also having some issues with my furnace. Very disappointing.

I needed to get a gasline rerouted so I called for an estimate. I asked if I was going to be charged for the estimate when I called and they dodged the question numerous times (that right there should have made me not go through them but oh well). Had one of their technicians come to give us an estimate Thursday (8-1). Charged me a $79 "diagnostic fee" but the dude seemed to have zero idea what he was talking about and told me he would have to consult with his boss to figure out what to do. He also was unable to accurately even tell where my water heater was (in relation to the main floor)and tried to tell me that he knew for sure where it was and brushed me off when I told him it was actually somewhere else, which shows this man they sent doesnt have very good spatial reasoning skills which is not a comforting thing from a plumber. I was told I should get a call the next day with an estimate on the cost. No call came. The weekend came and went. No call. Monday goes by. No call. Tuesday I finally had to call to ask for my money back and inform them I have no interest in receiving any services from their company. Was told someone should give me a call about how I will receive my refund within the hour. Someone called 2 1/2 hours later and couldn't give me a definitive answer as to whether or not I could get a refund but verified how I'd like to get my refund and said that someone from upper management was working on it. It's now Wednesday and I haven't heard back as to whether or not I'm getting my refund. I'd also like to point out that I had another company come and give me a free estimate and the guy through that company was able to give me details about what exactly he planned to do and a detailed estimate and explanation of the cost of the job right then and there after he was done looking it over. That's what I expected with axberg black diamond. Moral of the story: black diamond sucks. Honesty and solid professionalism is important when running a company and they have shown me neither. This company is a joke.

Our AC went out in a heatwave on Friday night. I called Axberg at 10:30pm (they're open 24/7) and told them about my situation, they said they had an opening around 2pm the next day. They called me the next morning at 7:30am to let me know someone had cancelled and they could have someone over within the hour. True to their word, Zac showed up and inspected our system, our capacitor had gone bad (it's usually the capacitor from what I read online). Within 12 hours of calling, the capacitor had been replaced and my home was finally cooling! It cost around $190 (There are coupons online). $190 is reasonable considering how urgent the situation was, I called late at night, someone came by and repaired it on a Saturday morning, and Zac was super helpful and courteous, and did I mention the heat wave? Though the part was probably only $20 of the cost, the outcome was prompt. I strongly recommend Axberg!

Greg was very professional. He worked tirelessly to find the problem with my air conditioner. I will definitely call Axberg the next time I need work done. This is different visit, but I just had Chad out and he did a fantastic job as well. Thank you.

I chose a hometown plumber to help with my toilet repairs. My toilets tank was not filling properly, very slow. I needed a new fill valve. I checked around at a local self fixing business and the part (fluidmaster 400 replacement with flapper) ran around $11.
Axberg charges a $79 diagnostic fee to come out and give you a price for the work to be done. They will waive it if you have them do the work. I was told they dont charge for mileage. When I made the appointment, the lady would not give me an estimate. She could not give me an hourly charge.
The technician was fine, the flat fee price was terrible. $235! With my coupon, it was $215. This is ridiculous. The technician was here 35 minutes and installed a $10-$13 part.
I am posting this so someone doesnt need to decide between fixing a slow filling toilet and any other household expense.

Our AC stopped working. We made an appointment online, and they were able to come first thing the next morning. They showed up 10 minutes early, and the technician was very polite and got it fixed quickly for a reasonable rate. We will definitely be using them again for our heating and cooling needs.

I did not find out until afterwards that Black Diamond and Axberg are now together since the Axberg family retired! So my review for Black Diamond is the same as i am putting here for Axberg! Great service!!!

I've used Black Diamond for three different services in the past five months. The first time was when my furnace took a dive on me. Ryan Geraty was out very late to take a look at it. Turns out my furnace was almost 40 years old (original to the house). He explained the costs of repairing it versus possible replacement costs. Once my wife and I decided to, and got the green light from our home warranty company, we set up a date and time on MY schedule. They covered the floors, their boots, and made sure everything was super clean when they finished installing the furnace and a/c. Dave, who installed my furnace also showed me the ducting and how disgusting it was with dust. It probably was NEVER cleaned before. He also explained the financial impact if that dust got swallowed up into the furnace as most manufacturers do not honor that as "normal wear and tear".

I scheduled a duct cleaning on the following Saturday, and the guys were in and out in a couple hours, but you can notice an immediate difference in air quality. Also, the amount of crud they sucked out of my vents was insane!

The last call was for water leaking all over my laundry room. My ejector pump was failing as it ran intermittently. Jimmy, the plumber, took the time to check every possible cause of the flooding, and deduced it down to a few issues. One of which was the inefficiency of the ejector pump. The pump, again, was original to the house (seriously, I don't think they did ANYTHING to this place except the pressure tank). I am happy and confident that this pump will not fail and is SUPER quiet. I appreciated the time and honesty that Jimmy gave, as I trusted his judgement.

Thank you to everyone at Black Diamond!!!

I want to thank Axberg/Black Diamond for the work they just did for us it was excellenet! They were here when they said they would be. The first call to the company to the end it was a positive experience. They worked as a team , they communicated with me everything they did, they took pictures and explained what was needed. David and James did the air/furnace, Ruger and Gerad did the elctrical, Anthony and Shane did the duct cleaning. They were all very friendly, focused, professional and worked non stop. Everytime I had a question they answered it. I was treated with respect and I felt very comfortable with them in my home. When Nickolas came to give us a quote I was not sure what to expect I had read some of the reviews but he put us at ease right away. He measured showed us exactly what was needed and took pictures. He reassured us they would take good care of us. He shared about the values of the company and there customer service. They lived up to everything Nicolas said. I want to thank the whole team for making our home safe. One last thing it was also an education for us we learned so much about duct cleaning and electrical work because they took the time to explain everything they did and why they did it. Again thank you all for making this a positive experience for us!!
