We had a furnace and AC unit put in. We set up financing and due to the type were told we needed certain equipment that was more expensive than if we used another type of financing. Install day comes and we were told everything was good to go so the job started. After the job was already started and half my furnace was ripped out I was told there was a problem with the financing and we needed to find some other way to pay. Honestly I don't think they even put my paperwork through as after there was no evidence they even tried. I had to scramble to get a loan to pay them to continue working because they lied about my financing. Right there I should have told them to stop working and sent them on their way, but for some reason, against my better judgment, I didn't. Especially since I could've saved money by having them install the cheaper equipment, as I wasn't using the original financing I didn't need the more expensive equipment. The guys that did the install beat my walls bringing stuff in and taking it out so I had to go through and patch and repaint. They didn't even tell me they did any of it, I just found it all after they left and I walked around. I was lied to about what needed to be done by the guy that came out to my house to give me an estimate because when they installed everything it was all different from what I was told at the beginning. The salesman's attitude and whole demeanor when he was here was a HUGE red flag and a put off but I figured I'd go ahead and use the company because this guy wouldn't personally be doing any of the work and my neighbor said they used the company in the past. The old AC unit was on a concrete slab and for some reason they dropped a plastic slab that's grossly off center and hanging off the concrete and is definitely not secure in any way. They tried to remedy this by jamming some rocks under it and covering it all with a ton of mulch that doesn't match anything around my house. It's an eyesore on the level of jamming a bunch of garbage underneath an area rug to "clean". Before they even did this they mentioned laying plastic down and covering it with mulch and I said absolutely not, yet they did it anyway. So now I had to jack up my AC unit and reset it. Not to mention I had to clean up and dispose of a metric ton of mulch and rocks I told them not to put down in the first place. The install on the furnace was half rate as well. I had a second company out to inspect the work like I would with any major job on my house and explained to the guy I just wanted a second opinion on the install to make sure it was all done correctly and he pointed out all the things that were half rate and should have been done differently. Then he had the nerve to call MAS and tell them I had him out there to check the work. I got a voicemail from the guy who came out to give me an estimate from MAS being extremely ignorant about the situation because I had someone come out and check their work. It was so ignorant I never even called the guy back, I just called and canceled my service contract I had with them with the receptionist. After this experience nobody from this company is welcome in my home, ever. I called a 3rd company and they pointed out every half rate corner MAS cut with my install as well and pointed out numerous things that were done "unprofessionally" and "would've been done correctly" had I used them instead. This 3rd company looked at the AC unit that MAS put outside and the guy laughed and shook his head and had some choice words about it. MAS will never be used again and every chance I get I'll make sure others know what a horrible experience this was with this half rate company. I didn't write a review for the longest time because I figured just ignore it, the job is done, and all you're going to do is get this guy to call you more and leave you ignorant messages/replies. I finally realized that's wrong on my part and you need to report the bad because if not it will just continue. I regret using this company every time I think about it.

This company is the best company that I have ever used and I don't say that often. Tom Sheehan has come to my home many times over the years for maintence to outright replacement of my heating and air systems. He is absolutely fantastic and explains everything without the BS that you get from some services. But it's not just him. The office staff is fantastic as well. Everytime I call someone actually answers the phone and will do whatever they can to help. Sometimes even the owner Tom Fletcher answers calls! Long story short - on a scale of 1-10 they are a 15 for sure!! Use them and you will agree! And no I am not related to any of them - LOL but I wish I was!

I've been using Modern Air Solutions for 4-5 years now, and generally speaking it's been a very positive experience. Everyone that I've talked to has been professional, polite, courteous, and honest. I don't feel like anyone has tried to sell me anything that I don't need, they're very straightforward and lay out all of the options.

The only issue that I have with MAS is the maintenance plan--I've been on the plan since I had them install a new furnace 4 years ago. When I purchased the plan, I believe there was a 5 or 10 year warranty on the parts and 30% off labor, and then a couple of years later they increased the plan price but bumped up the coverage to a full 10 years parts and labor warranty...I was fine with the price increase if it gave me better coverage. However, recently my thermostat went haywire and required replacing...I thought to myself "okay, it's covered, no worries", but once the service tech arrived I was told it was going to be over $160 in labor in addition to an $80 service fee. I was a bit taken aback in that I thought everything was covered...apparently the thermostat itself is only covered for 5 years, labor NOT INCLUDED. Why wouldn't it be included? The company installed the thermostat when they installed the furnace, why would it not be covered in the same manner (10 years full coverage)? Also, why am I paying an $80 service fee when it's warranty work? I've had warranty work done on my furnace before and I didn't have to pay any kind of fee, so there's a lack of consistency between visits. I expressed my concerns to the tech as well as the receptionist, but they obviously don't have the power to change bad policies. So now I'm out $240+ because of a faulty thermostat, even with the maintenance plan. And by the way, it only took the tech about 20-30 minutes to replace the thermostat...so are they charging $300-$400 an hour for labor?

I really hope MAS considers updating their maintenance plan to include EVERYTHING, or maybe give multiple coverage options so people can choose what they want. I've really enjoyed my interactions with the people at the company, and I'd like to keep doing business with MAS, but I've lost a little bit of trust in the ownership with this last issue and that makes me nervous moving forward.

Modern Air Solutions was accomidating, and able to get me an appointment quickly (same day) in this cold weather. Jorge was on time and very nice. He found the problem and even verified his findings with his supervisor. Jorge had the replacement part in his truck and the repair was done quickly. Jorge also advised of inspection and offered to get me a quote for a new system. I would recommend Modern Air Solutions Inc to family & friends.

We were treated fairly and well. Casey, the sales person, did a great job analyzing what we needed and explaining everything. Our installers were friendly, professional, and did great work. We are super happy we got great financing through Modern, and the new system is working very well. We are getting their pay-by-the-month for service every six months, and are resting easy knowing we are taken care of.

We just had a new furnace installed by Modern Air. It was great service from start to finish. Tom, the sales rep,, came prepared with brochures for all the furnace choices and accessories like humidifiers. No high pressure sales tactics. He patiently answered all of our many questions. After leaving our house, he emailed us a proposal that included prices on a variety of furnaces and any add-ons we might want to do - humidifier, air cleaner, etc. I was very impressed with his presentation of information from the nice folder with all the brochures and all the different prices on the proposal. It was the most organized proposal we received and we really appreciated the way it was presented so clearly. Install went smoothly and the two installers were very friendly and polite. The furnace looks great and the house is toasty warm on a chilly night!

We have had Modern Air maintain our furnace annually since it was installed. They set an appointment time (not a half day window) and they show up on time. The techs are polite and professional.
