CRNE'S Environmental Control

Al, Steve and crew all did an amazing job from start to finish! We needed a new furnace installed after our existing unit failed. Steve and Al worked to get the old unit functioning till the install happened. On install day the crew arrived on time and completed the work in one day. Our old furnace had been recalled, Joy, in the CRNE’s office worked to get us a rebate both from the manufacturer and also from NiCor for our new, more efficient unit. Finally, Steve came out and held a mini training session so we can maximize our use of the cool new WiFi enabled thermostat. Looking forward to working with CRNEs for regular maintenance and would definitely recommend them.

Second time using this company and both of our experiences were 5 star. First-was our boiler (furnace heat)-needed a repair in the dead of winter during a polar vortex. Company was quick to respond, quotes were pretty accurate, and most importantly tech did exceptional work-Including teaching us how to maintain our boiler so we don’t run into the same problems in the future. Second-needed hot water tanks installed for two separate units (One tank had metal protruding at the seam, and the second had leaking gas!)-Job was done efficiently, safely, and exceptionally. If you want your heating issues fixed-you want to rely on a company that is honest in their cost quote, accurate in diagnosis, and efficient in fixing the issue-and this company is CRNE. I can always rely on them for a quick response time and to do the job right the first time. This is why I keep coming back for their services whenever we run into a new heating problem that arises in our aging home (built 1917).

Crne replaced my entire a/c and heating system in my condo and attached a low ambient air kit so I could run the a/c even when the outdoor temp is as low as 0 to 10 degrees F (the condo building runs pretty hot all year round, it's insane) Al came out and explained the work that would be needed and why in great detail. The manufacturer he used to construct the unit came out and took detailed measurements. Then Al's people came out and got the installation done in one day with no bumps or surprises - on time and professional all the way. I've dealt with other a/c companies with the condo association and without them in the past and have had bad experiences, but Crne is an outfit I can trust.

I just had Cnre's out to work on my furnace after waking up with no heat. I couldn't believe how quickly they got to me! They did a great job, very affordable too. This is the first time I've used them but will use them again in the future. The technician was really good and knowledgeable.

Nice people to work with at CRNES. Prompt emergency service on my steam radiator. Joy and Al answered all my questions and a new valve was installed in about an hour, total work time. I hope to never need emergency steam radiator work again, but if I do, it will probably be CRNES of Chicago.

Always great to deal with Crne. Called for annual air conditioning check. Phone contact was prompt, polite, efficient. Service representative, an experienced professional, arrived early, was courteous. Have recommended them for years.

Called CRNE when water from our air conditioner in our condo backed up and leaked all over the furnace closet and ended up in the unit below us. Al from CRNE came by on a Saturday emergency call and cleaned out the PVC drain line and installed a clean out plug. It has been a couple weeks since the clean out and everything is perfect. The water is properly draining and air conditioner works great. Al cleaned up the work area and was very personable. Excellent work and support by CRNE.

My heat would not go on today. We called CRNE and Janet was able to walk us through all the diagnostics for the thermostat I have. She made sure she had the correct thermostat model number so she could look at the manual with us. Janet is very patient and knowledgeable. Her expertise in this area save me from having to have a technician come to the house. My heat is now working! I highly recommend CRNE as your choice for a heating/cooling service company.

Steve was very helpful during our heating and cooling appointment. He was able to identify the source of our problem. He even helped us find some other corncerns in our house that were unrelated to the initial call. I am thankful he took the time to go through thorough details during our service call.
