I highly recommend Fire N Ice. I contacted multiple companies for quotes to replace 30+ year old furnace and air conditioner - I selected Fire N Ice. My experience from start (Jim jr. sales call and follow-up Q&A) to finish (equipment installation) was excellent. I am very pleased with installation workmanship. Installers (Kris and Joe) were personable, left a clean job site, explained system operation and advised regular maintenance.

A new furnace was needed after 28 years. Jim was very helpful making sure I got the correct furnace for my home and family. Kris installed it the very next day and was great at explaining how everything works. The furnace area was nicely cleaned up after installation. It was an all around positive experience.

Thank goodness my friend did all the legwork for choosing an ac/furnace installer last year. He went through the hassle of getting a bunch of quotes, chose Fire 'n' Ice for his new equipment and highly recommended them to me. I did some research online to determine what brands are good and what I could expect to pay for installation of my new ac/furnace. I read the info about Fire 'n' Ice on their website and checked out their reviews on a couple sites. They seemed like my kind of company (local, family run and good reviews) so I called for a free estimate.
Jim Jr. came out in a couple of hours, offered a great price (less than I thought it might be) and said they could install it the next day (sunny and 90 degrees without ac means hell yeah, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!) Well, it's now 2 pm the next day, they just finished the installation of our new furnace/ac and the cold air is blowing while I watch the cubbies on tv. They did a super clean install and I could not be happier with Fire 'n Ice. Now if only the Cubs could get some runs...

I couldn't have been more pleased with the fast and courteous service of Fire 'n' Ice! On a recent Sunday morning I woke to find my furnace not working. The service technician, Chris returned my call quickly. After realizing that there was a problem that could not be remedied over the phone he arrived at my home within the next hour. After his inspection of the furnace and determination that it would need an expensive part that would most likely be only the beginning of the end of my problems, we decided it may be best to replace the furnace. As I was leaving for an overseas trip that very afternoon, Chris assured me that he would do his best to have the work completed as soon as possible. That afternoon while I was standing in a very long line at the airport, Jim Michalek, the owner of Fire 'n' Ice called to let me know that he would arrange to have the furnace replaced and coordinate with my neighbor to have it done the next day. On Monday, the new furnace was installed and I arrived home the following week to a delightfully warm home! Thanks for making a very stressful situation a little bit easier to manage with your kindness and professionalism. I'm truly grateful!

After moving into our new home and determining the thermostat was not regulating the temperature properly, we decided due to the age that we needed a new one. I read very positive reviews from Fire N Ice and decided to give them a try. Casey (Owner) was extremely courteous and knowledgeable in assisting us on finding the right thermostat for our home. Based on his recommendation, we opted for the Carrier Cor and couldn't be happier. It has not only given us more accurate temperature readings, we are now able to monitor everything from our smartphones and manage everything while we are away. In addition, the technician who came out, Kris, was very professional, knowledgeable, and is a testament to what a great company this is. Quality, down-to-earth people, who are a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend Fire 'N Ice to anyone for their heating and air conditioning needs. You will not be disappointed.

After 15 years of owning a Carrier central A/C unit it failed and it was time to have it replaced. After contacting and getting estimates from three different highly rated HVAC companies we decided to go with Fire'n'Ice for the purchase & install of a new Carrier A/C unit and Furnace.

Jim(sales Rep.) was great to work with. I was very comfortable working with him. His communication and personality, felt right. He understood my budget and gave me several options to make it work for us. He is very knowledgeable and I didn't feel pressured into making a decision.
They also specialize in Carrier products( and maybe others) which is what i wanted to stay with. Carrier has served our 2700sq.ft home very well for 15yrs.
On the day of installation I was informed that the installers would arrive between 7:30-8:00. Their trucks were on my driveway @ 7:30. I was met by Chris & Joe, two very nice guys. They told me the job for installing the A/C and Furnace units would be done by 2:30-3:30. They were finished at 2:30! Mats up, all debris cleaned and old units removed.There wasn't a piece of trash left anywhere. Heat back up and running. No mucking around, two MEN, getting the job done!

We have nice hardwood floors and carpet in the bsmt. Great care was taken to ensure cleanliness.
Chris& Joe are in a word "Experts" with this type of work. Explained everything to me and gave me additional information on choosing additional accessories.
I also had questions about purchasing and installing a new Wi-Fi thermostat to compliment my new systems, Jim and Chris was very helpful with this. Do yrself a favor and get rid of that old thermostat and purchase a new wi-fi unit. Its only been a few days and my Wi-fi thermostat is communicating great with my new furnace balancing our homes temperature.
We have to wait for the weather to get warmer so they can come back to charge the a/c unit for summer, but I'm very satisfied w choosing fire'N'ice and a Great experience w the install. My units looks great.

Further, they also installed our neighbors a/c and furnace and they were very satisfied with the cost, units and install.

I highly recommend Fire and Ice. Michelle took the time to explain my AC system and went out of her way to get me an appointment in a timely manner. I had one company tell me I needed an entirely new AC. Fire and Ice was able to get it back and running smoothly with a few simple adjustments. I am so glad I called them!!

In late January, our Lenox furnace was not heating properly and my house chilled to 62 degrees. I reached out to Fire 'N' Ice. Fire N Ice's owner helped diagnose over the phone since I know enough to look at the system lights and check the error code sticker. It had a limit switch error. A part was able to be ordered. I was advised to turn off the furnace a few minutes and back on again. This really helped. It reset the system and heat started to run again.

Fire N Ice came out the next day and repaired both a leak on my humidifier and the limit switch problem. Fan speed was adjusted to help air flow in my house. I appreciated the quality of work and information discussed.

Have used Fire N Ice twice now and have been pleased both times. First time was Fall 2015. We have two air conditioning units and one of them gave out (14 years old). Called Fire N Ice and they were able to come out right away and confirm that there was no saving the unit (I knew it was shot so there was no surprise there). Jim was able to come out the next day to work through replacement options and we came up with a good solution. Installation took place the next day – I believe Dan did the install and he was clearly careful and knowledgeable and made sure to do everything right. He was happy to answer all my questions. The weather had cooled so they were not able to charge the system until the following spring which bothered me a little, but spring came around and Dan came out again and charged up the system and it’s been great ever since. Not the cheapest, but thought it was fair and if everything works then I’m happy. We’ll see how things progress long term.
I asked them to come out again after the second unit died (16 years old) in mid-August and they basically did the same thing, though they were able to charge up the system right away this time. From initial phone call to system install was about 2 days. Everything went just as smoothly. They respond to phone calls and e-mails pretty promptly. I can’t really think of anything to complain about. Maybe not the cheapest, but if the job gets done right the first time, then it’s worth it. We just went through a 90 degree plus heat wave and the house has been very comfortable day and night. I would use them again.
