We had a great experience w Besco with the installation of two furnaces. Job was reasonably priced and when we needed the air flow tweaked to reduce noise they were quick to come out. They also were open and honest in the installation on the roof when a few roofing tiles came off. They told us and we were able to put them in touch w the HOA to get repaired. Overall I would highly recommend them!

Besco damaged my outdoor A/C unit when moving it and is refusing to repair. Machine now rattles and this is verified by their technician. Their solution was to charge me for a brand new motor on a 5 year old machine. Jim the owner, would rather worry about saving a buck than taking ownership for his crew's misfortune. First and last time customer.

UPDATE: Jim's response only comes after I've taken up their problem with the BBB. The machine is now completely inoperable and was releasing pressure of some kind. Your tech also said it was fine to operate. I won't be paying more money Jim, the service was never completed and equipment was damaged. Bottom line, no one touched it but Besco air and it was their decision to leave it in October without testing. I trusted their word that they would return in the spring to finish the job and had no say in the matter.

I write this in appreciation for Besco on the coldest day in Chicago’s history. When our AC stopped working last summer, I selected Besco entirely because of the strength of their reviews. And they are well deserved. Joe and his team patiently worked with us to discuss solutions for our AC problem. Later when we needed had a heater problem, we called them again. And later when we needed a small AC unit installed upstairs, we turned to them yet again. In between, I was in regular contact with Joe via email who was knowledgeable, responsive and helpful. I consider myself a loyal Besco customer for life and would vouchsafe for them to anyone.

I do not write many reviews but it is worth this time for Besco: The job was clean all-around and the level of care was outstanding. A week after installation, a rep from Besco called me to walk me through a $200 rebate with Peoples Gas (I had no idea this existed)! Great experience!

Have used Besco since I moved into my house a few years ago. They have been to my house 6-7 times for regular heating and AC maintenance and 1 emergency. They definitely have good people, but the last few visits have not gone well. I will not be calling upon Besco again. Several months ago for the water heater emergency, the tech billed us for 3 hours, told us to replace the whole heater and couldn't explain why. My husband watched YouTube videos, talked to the manufacturer, replaced one little part, and we were good. The last straw broke when this particular tech, whom I'd asked Besco not to send to my house again after a bad experience with AC maintenance, showed up again to service my boiler. The boiler, which had no issue previously, suddenly stopped working after he serviced it. He came back to fix it later in the day and demanded another payment. I supposedly had a grounding problem that was there for a long time, and since the boiler was working when he was here earlier I had to pay for this. I did not argue with him since I had dinner going on the stove, but I do not buy that such a severe problem happened independent of what he did on the same day. Besco really needs to check its staff for competency and attitude.

Our technician was on time as he called before informing of his arrival time. He was able to diagnose our problem immediately within arriving and looking out our furnace. His inspection was detailed and he explained it so I was able to understand it without getting too technical. I would definitely recommend Besco Air to anyone who finds themselves in a crisis or just for regular maintenance.
