Four or five years ago, I had The Original Plumber install a water line to the fridge I had moved to the garage so I could have ice. I didn’t have his name, but I was very impressed with him, so I put the business card on my new fridge and I told myself if I ever needed a plumber, that’s who I would call.
My toilet wouldn’t stop running. I tried to fix it , but I’m not a plumber, so I called them . Amanda was very pleasant and kept me updated as to when they would be coming.
Wes Roland and his apprentice, Dale, (sorry I didn’t know his last name) arrived on time. Very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. Wes gave me different options. I chose one, and I believe it was only 30 minutes or less and they were done!
Once again, I was very pleased and I will keep that card on my fridge.

Great company. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because when I called I spoke to a young lady that was rather unhelpful. I ended up having to call back to get another person to help me. The plumber that actually did the work was great and knowledgeable; however, they sent out a second guy that decided he couldn’t do the work. Rather than tell me he just got in his truck and left. The other plumber didn’t come until the next day.

When I noticed my 16 year old water heater starting to leak, I called a local plumber but never received a return call. I then called The Original Plumber and they were very responsive. Not only did they call me right away, they were at my home in less than 2 hours. Since it was about 3 PM on a Friday, I never thought they could remove my old water heater, install a new one, and replace an old pressure reducer valve in the garage in just a matter of a few hours...but they did! The plumber who did the work (Austin) was very professional, very courteous, and even installed shoe covers on his shoes to keep my floors clean while working. He stayed until the job was done right and everything was working perfectly. I couldn't be happier with the service I received. If I ever need a plumber again, I won't call the local company in my city (who, by the way, never did return my call), I will definitely call The Original Plumber! They are very responsive, courteous, knowledgeable, and professional.

I called to get a price to have my septic tank pumped and inspected. The gentleman on the phone quoted me a price of $495 for a 1,000 gal tank. They never told me they would not hand dig to open the top of the tank. They came with a small excavator which required a section of fence to be removed to get this machine into my backyard. The amount of digging was very minimal but that did not matter. The 2 guys that came out acted as if I was supposed to create a path for their machine which I explained to them I was not happy about. I explained to them I didn’t want my yard torn up by this machine. They said it wouldn’t hurt my yard. When they left my yard had areas where the tracks from the excavator dug up the yard and they had no tools to reinstall the section of fencing they pried off.
Once they had the tank opened they suggested I have them install 2 risers to provide better access to the 2 manhole covers on top of the tank so that the pumping of the tank in the future would require even less digging. They also said that my septic line coming from the house should be cleaned with their “high pressure Jets”. Then they told me my system had a filter in the pipe leading to the drain field and it must be replaced. Next they told me my cost was now going to be $2,790!!!!
I said what happened to the $495 your office quoted me, they said the office people don’t know the prices for things.
I asked them to itemize how they got to $2,750. They said it’s $500 to pump the tank, $425 to power jet the line, $275 for a new filter, $240 for an inspection letter, and $1,350 for 2 risers.
I could only laugh! The filter was in great shape and just needed to be hosed off, they agreed but said they don’t hose off filters. The inspection letter which would serve no more purpose than their receipt for work done was omitted, their risers were also omitted after a quick Amazon search found them at $69 each. I agreed to have them jet clean the line, which they did using a 1/2 garden hose with no end on it. They simply stuck the hose into the pipe and turned on the water. After I asked why this 2 minute task cost me $425 they agreed it was a crazy charge and said they would not charge for their “High Pressure Jet” cleaning. I also looked on Amazon and found the filter for $55!
These guys were absolute rip off artists using my septic tank as their studio!!
Never use this company! What scam artists. I was able to get my price down to $750 only because I am an engineer and fully understood what they were doing and offering. The Original Plumber is better known as The Old Fashion Rip Off!
This was the location located in Jasper, GA.

Woke up on a Saturday morning to my basement flooded by a broken water heater. Called 5 plumbers in my area who all said they couldn't come out until Monday. Sam and Adam came out within hours and assessed the damage. They even helped me mop up a bit! They talked me through options, removed out the old unit and made it so we had water overnight. Sunday morning, Sam and Juan came back out and we had hot water again by 930 AM. I cannot recommend The Original Plumber enough. Price was fair, they didnt try to sell me on anything, and they were 100% professional. I will absolutely be using them in the future. Thanks Sam, Adam, and Juan!

This company is a big scam and they are just going to try to take your money, they told me $450 for a clean out of my septic tank and when they came out and uncovered it, when they covered it back up they left a very messy job, They raised the price $200 more to $650. They have NO knowledge at all about septic tanks and are just going to try to convince you to buy a new system when you don't even need one for $11,000. I HIGHLY DO NOT recommend this company to anyone else at all. I highly recommend METRO SEPTIC, very knowledgeable, very good prices and the price they say that's what it is no more, very professional and clean finish, did more work then they had to do. Very happy with this company.

We needed the wiring in our home assessed and a new main circuit breaker. Chase Farley, an electrician from The Original Plumber performed an excellent assessment of the wiring and breakers in the panel boxes. Chase estimated the costs of repairs and sat with us to discuss his findings and costs. We are more than happy with the work completed and the knowledge Chase shared with us to make our home code compliant and safe. After 7 years using other plumbing and electrical companies, we will call The Original Plumber for future needs at our home. Thanks Chase for your professionalism and knowledge.

Brian Payne and his daughter (sorry I forgot her name) did a great job repairing a water line leak we had in our slab. They came out promptly and did the work as quoted which included cutting a 3 ft by 3 ft hole in the concrete slab, removing the underlying dirt, repairing the water lines, then putting it all back together. Very knowledgeable and very friendly. Thanks!

My kitchen sink was clogged up as well as my dishwasher. Ashley and Brian came out and did an amazing job. They were both very friendly thorough and explained everything they did the entire time I would highly recommend this company. This is the second time we’ve used him and I’ve been very happy each time.
