Duncan's Air Conditioning & Heating

I needed an emergency AC service, and I wanted a Trane Comfort Specialist. However, I didn't want a "Corporate" type company to work with. I wanted to work with folks that are top-notch in their field, but at the same time make you feel more like they're family or friends rather than someone trying to sell you something. So far, I think I've found that with Duncan's Air Conditioning. They responded to my request extremely quickly, and all the staff I worked with from the lady who called me back to the tech who visited were very professional, but very down to earth and friendly. My service isn't complete yet as parts have to be ordered, but so far, very good. In fact, I'm signing up with them to do my annual maintenance on both of my Trane units.

If you are on the fence about using this company then ignore all the 5 star fluff reviews and read my review, and then decide for yourself if you want to take the risk using this company.

This company ended up costing me about ~$8000 in damages due to negligence, which caused water damage which led to and a good many weeks of stress and busy work to have to repair the mess.

This all started back in Feb 2022 after I decided to join the service program where every 6 months Duncan's AC will come by and do an HVAC inspection. This is pretty standard stuff which involves cleaning the HVAC, drain line, and checking for any potential issues. Unknown to me, after the tech came and completed the work, the tech left the drain line pipe in the 2nd floor HVAC closet up in an elevated position (See attached photos). I know that Duncan's AC was responsible for doing this, because the photo of the pipe elevated was taken by the tech who came by and did the work on that day, and included a photo of the pipe at an elevated angle in his completion photos. The elevated angle of the pipe caused all the condensation water to drip back into the HVAC and then down the main duct down to the first floor where the water began to pool. The water began to pool for about 3 months before I noticed that there were some water stains beginning to appear on the first floor ceiling. This led to needing to have a water restoration team come out and cut open the ceiling to drain all the water that was pooling and bursting out of the AC duct and identify the source of the leak. Both the water restoration team and another HVAC company both confirmed that the drain line angle was what caused all of this water to leak. Long story short, we had:

This was about 1.5 months of work to get everything resolved and with the insurance claim and about ~$8000 in total damage.

I will never use this company ever again as they perform negligent / unprofessional work and didn't really take responsibility for helping me through this (nor would I ever trust this company to repair the mess they created since they can't even do the work correctly to begin with).

Don't take the risk and end up in a situation like I was in, use a different company.

Curtious and clean technicians. The install surpassed the last install I had done. But not totally satisfied as of yet. Have issues to be addressed this week. Will let you know outcome.

Don't trust this company. They sell you an air conditioner that is supposed to have a 10 year warranty, but that warranty don't mean nothing. There was a part that went bad and they are charging me $176.00 to replace it when they are already here and as stated it is under a 10year warranty. They claim they are giving me a so called 10% discount. What a joke. WILL NEVER DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY AGAIN. Wish I could give them no stars. They never send the same tech either.

Duncan has consistently provided us with great service for the past 10 years. Highly recommend them for purchase and care of your A/C: heat pump needs.

In the past I had a warranty on a previous air conditioning system and the AC company that was contracted to provide warranty service simply refused to service my unit. I contacted the warranty company to request a different AC company to do the job, and I was referred to Duncan's Air Conditioning.
I have had absolutely wonderful service from Duncan's from day one. Everyone from the office staff to the repair team to the maintenance staff has always been friendly, professional, and given me confidence in all our interactions.
Duncan's has been so great to work with that when I needed a replacement AC system, they were the only ones I called.
They were out today to provide annual preventive maintenance, and Wayne the technician, did his work very thoroughly and professionally, and I couldn't ask for anything more.

We just moved in and our first electric bill was outrageous for an 8 year old system. We called Duncan’s because they had good online reviews and positively checked out with the BBB. Austin, the technician easily found the issue and was straight forward with the condition of the AC unit and professionally discussed options within his experience. We are pending quotes for repair or replacement. Wish home inspectors were worth the same price.
