Our heat went out on Wednesday night and I called Northeast FL the next morning. They quickly sent a technician (Dustin) to our home to inspect our system and as we feared we were in need of a new AC unit. Dustin answered all the questions we had and explained the many different problems with our current unit. The crew came out the next day and installed the unit and so far we are loving it. We opted to add the air purifier and I can already notice a big difference in our air quality.
My wife and I have had some serious issues with our AC over the last month, and after an initial consultation with NEFL Heating and Air we needed a new AC unit. Quoted 4500 for install, pipe flush, state inspection, etc all wrapped up into one price. I should've just done it then but on a referral from a family member I went with a small private company to install my new AC because it was 1k cheaper and it was a month before Christmas. This other company came out and did the job in about 2 hours and I thought I was in the clear. Then a week later my AC unit (brand new) was not pumping out cold air. The other company said they would come take a look. Ended up bailing on us saying it was too cold to check the coolant levels and they would come by some other time, which they told us AFTER we called an hour after they were supposed to be there. Called NEFL for some advice and they talked us through the process of checking the coolant and why it was necessary for it to be a little warmer outside, but also informed us that they could easily check for leaks even though its cold. Company 2 came back out a week later and put some coolant in it (slapped a band-aid on it) and said they would find a time to come check for leaks. Came out another week later to check the pipes for leaks (which should have been done when the unit was installed) and dug around, about 2 feet away from my unit and said they couldn't find the pipes and that it must be going directly under the property. Also mentioned they were afraid to dig too close because they might hit my neighbors lines.... So we called NEFL and they came out same day and dug BY HAND rather than with a shovel and axe right next to my unit and found the piping just fine. They then scheduled someone to come out and replace the pipes as soon as they could. Just got to my house and said there is also a small leak inside the house, which means that the other company probably dinged the pipe while changing out the unit and just said they "Couldn't find an issue." Long story for a simple ending....GO WITH NEFL FOR YOUR HEATING AND AIR NEEDS! They are fast, courteous, do great work, AND stand by their work. You guys are the best and Dustin has been a delight throughout the entire process. These guys are the real deal and do a great job at what they do.
I called the 24 hour hotline and Hunter promptly returned my call. He calmly and patiently listened to my concerns and suggested troubleshooting ideas. He was able to find the problem over the phone (which was not my AC unit). This customer service is unlike anything I have experienced in today's world of impersonal service. I will definitely use NEFH&AC in the future and would recommend them to anyone. What a great experience with Hunter!
There is no "zero" to choose. Called this company asking about prices for installing a thermostat (I bought two of them since my house needs two). The rep said they do it for free, the tech will come and install at no charge. Well, the tech came to my house and spent over two hours with the instructions how to install and then said "It is a bad batch of thermostats and he doesnt know what to do". Then he said out of courtesy he will not charge me for the installation (???) but only for trip charge of $95. Hello?!....Isnt this a misleading the customers example? I hope the company does it right and issue the refund.
The service technician Dustin Bowers was excellent. Knowledgeable and professional. You could tell he enjoys what he does gor a living. He was able to answer all of our questions and provided us with other information we did not know to allow our final decision. NEF air is lucky to have him.
Dustin came out to us and I was immediately impressed with his knowledge of HVAC. He was patient with us and very respectful. He got the system back on track in no time at all. I recommend this company highly.
