I am very happy with Cool R Us, I called them Saturday afternoon to set up an appointment. I left a message and was called back within 15 minutes, Josh asked me when I was available and I said now and he was at my house within the hour. Josh is one heck of a representative for the company he went over every aspect of the AC units and their different features. After his presentation and us even talking to the Owner of the company my wife and I decided to make them our choice for our new AC unit. We had prior quotes from other companies but their representatives didn't hold a candle to Josh and how thorough he was about the AC units. The installation team showed up this morning at 9am and went right to work, very clean and professional. A couple of hours into the installation another crew showed up to do my duct cleaning I opted to get this done since I've been in my home 16 years and never had it done before. Both crews were outstanding they worked together on both the installation and duct cleaning. If you've never had your ductwork cleaned I highly recommend it. The workmanship of the installation is second to none, you can tell they take pride in what they do and it shows in every aspect of their work right down to the clean up. My neighbor had Cool R Us replace their AC system and recommend them to me and I can see why.

Excellent company and experience! Josh Conway was the rep that I dealt with for our A/C relocation. He was extremely knowledgeable, courteous, professional, and helpful. They moved two condenser units for us. The techs were on time and did an excellent job. They even fixed some existing issues with our units. They were efficient and accommodating to our requests. It first started with a call from Josh. Our air conditioner had a leak in the outside condenser. It was a cheap 5 ton by Goodman that cost us $2500 for both indoor and out door units. Our regular maintenance AC company told me it would be $3k just to repair. They wouldn’t be able to work on it for over a week. My mind began to consider all of my options. Our regular AC maintenance company introduced me to Josh with Cool R Us. He felt I might need/want some other options to consider since our home now has spray foam in the attic and our needs shifted towards a better unit than what we were used to before.

Should we repair or replace? Should we get a cheap unit? Should we get decent unit? Should we get a high end unit? UGH!

There are lots of choices to consider choosing air conditioning. Josh arrived just 30-45 minutes after our first phone call. I instantly felt that with Cool R Us that I was in good hands.

Josh arrived, he asked us our wants and needs and began to make a system that would work extremely well in our home. Trane it was. We chose Trane’s top of the line variable speed units- indoor and outdoor.

Cool R Us notified via text message when they were arriving on both the removal and installation day. On 1-7-2023 the technicians were prompt on a Saturday morning, coming 30 minutes early. 👍🏻

The day prior to the new unit being installed Cool R Us came to remove just the air handler so we could do make some repairs to the closet it was in.

This company went above and beyond my expectations with the install and how it looked in my closet. I honestly feel NO OTHER COMPANY would have went as far as they did with the install. Even the owner came out and worked his but off out in my attic making sure everything was perfect and I mean perfect.

One day after original construction ac died, I now have an awesome, quiet, energy efficient system. Everyone was pleasant, professional, prompt and knowledgeable from sales to installation. My Mom's 6 year old AC unit ran out of Freon due to a leak in the copper lines that run under the condo's concrete foundation slab.

Cool R Us was able to do the job correctly and at a very reasonable price. They did the job the correct way and we didn't have to tear a bunch of holes in the ceiling.

OTHER COMPANIES wanted to either 1.) run away from the job after they said they could replace the lines but sent a crew that said we needed to bust up concrete before they could get the old lines out 2.) tear holes in the ceiling to run the new copper lines 3.) over charge or up sale to a new AC unit and still tear holes in the ceiling

My American Standard residential heat pump reached end-of-life this spring. My neighbor had his system replaced a few months ago, so I checked who he went with. Cool R Us installed his new AC, and I was very impressed with the quality of the installation. I got three quotes for replacing my AC, and Cool R Us was best overall, so I went with them, and I’m so glad I did. Cool R Us doesn’t advertise. So you may not have heard of them. They are the best!

First off there’s Josh, the Project Manager who came by to give me a quote. He showed up on time. Of the three company reps who provided a quote, Josh was the most thorough in his inspection of my system. He took plenty of measurements, discussed the many options available, and provided technical comparisons when asked. It wasn’t long after he left that the quote arrived by email. He quoted four systems with modest price differences between each level. The other two company reps only provided single system quotes. Josh’s professionalism is top-notch!

After I signed the agreement, there was the matter of installation. I suggested Saturday or Monday, providing flexibility if they prefer to work weekdays. Cool R Us chose Saturday. These guys work Saturdays! The installation crew showed up on time. In customary fashion they provided a two-hour window for the techs to arrive. Unlike most companies I’ve dealt with, they showed up at the opening of the window, instead of 30 minutes after the window closed. Three techs arrived, ready to work. I showed them my system and they got busy. In about six hours, they were done! Even though it was Saturday, the company owner dropped by to see how the job was going. He was generous with his time to answer all my questions and concerns!

When I say done, that included a great job cleaning up any trash and debris generated during the installation. It was cleaner after they were done than when they started! Their work was fast, precise, and diligent. In that time, they also replaced all the copper lines in my somewhat tight crawl space, and ran a new condensate line under there too while they were at it! Exemplary work!

Unlike some companies, Cool R Us pulls a work permit. They took care of setting an appointment with City of Jacksonville to inspect, and the inspector also showed up on time. I’d like to add, the mechanical inspector was also complimentary on the quality of work done.

Cool R Us is a first-rate company. Anyone who is looking to replace their AC should include them on their short list. (As always, get multiple quotes for any major work.) Cool R Us is detail-oriented, and delivers everything they agree to do!
