UPDATE: The company explained their policy better and converted the $349 service call to a 1 year service contract. They explained that the service work would have been more expensive had they taken the part to Goodman for replacement due to the time and effort. They also explained that their rates were higher than other companies because they are a 24 hour, 1 day service. When you call them you get immediate service instead of waiting several days. THAT's a good thing and I'm satisfied. Just wish I knew all this ahead of time.
Called for service on a Goodman AC that was 4 years old and under warranty. Quoted $86 for service call; charged $349 for contact (part), labor, etc. Contacted Goodman and they said it should have been warranty work and the contractor should take the part to the distributor and refund my money. Still pursuing with AA. But was a lot of money for a 20 minute service call and a very small part. Will never use them again and suggest everyone read the write-ups in the BBB because many people have experienced the same.

AA are an excellent company. We turned to them about a year ago, when our previous contractor let us down badly. AA came to our rescue and have serviced our 3 AC units since then.
They respond very quickly, have competitive pricing and, most important employ dedicated, caring and professional staff who are a delight to work with.
Thank you

I bought a unit outside/inside from AA Service and Repair. Selling my home and had AA Service and Repair give me a final checkup and repair before closing Inspection. Technician 'Caleb Parker' did the work; was informative, personable, courteous, kind and professional. I am completely satisfied and recommend these folks for your Installation, repair and warranty work.

READ PLEASE!!! This company sold us a $10K air unit a few months ago. It has broken down 3 times now. They came to repair it this morning and it is already not working again. When the unit went out this past weekend, we could not get ahold of them, although they claim to answer day and night. We placed our first of many calls on Saturday morning at 7AM and finally reached THEM Monday morning (with weekend lows in the 30's). The technician who installed the unit is no longer employed with them and the technicians helper (we found out later) was in his first day on the job. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!
Update: They wanted to charge us for a $259 service call for something they improperly diagnosed/fixed yesterday. I had another contractor come out and diagnosed the issue properly and new part needed. He even called AA to make them aware of bad part and that they should come fix.
AA told us that they would come out for no charge but only if I dropped by negative google review. Regardless, part was installed by my new Heating & Air company, who by the way is very professional and cordial. Sorry Kaitlyn but you didn't get your way. At least my google review will be an accurate one.

Brian performed my system’s seasonal maintenance checkup. He was friendly, courteous and thorough. As a long time customer, I recommend this company!
(Gave 4star only because I never received a 30 minute call ahead of arrival.)

I do not usually write reviews; however, I wanted to do so after today's experience. We purchased an AC unit less than a year ago from this company. They did a great job assisting us throughout the installation process. Less than a year later, though, our new AC went out. I was nervous from reading some of the reviews regarding follow-up service once a purchase has been made. There was no need to worry, though, as the company, from office staff to tech, remedied the situation in less than 12 hours. I appreciated the phone calls from the office staff keeping us updated on the tech's arrival as well as the follow up call immediately following the tech's departure. I can't speak for anyone else but, so far, this company has not let us down.

While on duty for the military A/C broke down on a unit my family was left without A/C for a few days because a fan broke down. Initial estimate was told to be 3800 dollars as a repair. Then after they found out we had warranty the labor was still about 2000 dollars. Contacted individuals that do A/C work and found out the part doesn't cost 1800 and is only 300 dollars. Besides that they saw that we weren't willing to pay 2000 to get the A/C repaired so they tried to charge us about 1000. Which shows that they have huge markup. Got the part for free by making a claim with the people that we knew did A/C work before, and they installed it for 200 dollars. Not only that but my family was told that they would have to stay without A/C for a few days until this part came in for them. Also when you have an issue with your A/C as simple as clearing out the drain tube they will charge you 200 dollars as they did with us just to check it without telling you about the charge prior to coming to your house. Very dissatisfied with them.

AA service and repair is a great company. They service 2 homes in our family twice annually. They call us to schedule the service each time which makes it easy to keep our HVAC systems running smoothly in every season. They come out promptly if there is ever a problem. Ray fixed a clogged drain and got our unit up and running quickly during the hottest month of the Florida summer.

If you’re looking for an AC company, I strongly encourage you to read this review and shop around.
I have a YORK AC thats two years old and has never worked properly.
I’ve consistently used AA because that’s where the unit was purchased.
First, when they arrive, they want payment for $229 for a service call. They immediately discount that to $129 but demand it before they start to work. This indicates that in the past, people have refused to pay them because their work was not up to par. Just guessing on that one.
Remember, my unit has a 10 year warranty but only for parts.
So, two weeks ago I called because my unit wasn’t working. Again. First, I had to pay the discounted trip charge of $129 (discounted from $229. I have pictures I wish I could post) before they would begin the work.
They discovered I had an ambient air sensor that needed to be replaced so they ordered the part. This part took less than 45 minutes to replace and they charged me $795. Cardiovascular surgeons don’t make that an hour
I called two other AC companies and was told $150 to $250 max. I feel I was way severely over charged.
It gets better.
The following week, the AC quit again. They showed up and figured out I had a bad evaporator coil that needed to be replaced.
I was told they needed to do a leak test to find where the coolant was leaking out. And guess how much they wanted for that little service?
$495 up front. Yes $495 to wave a wand around a couple pipes. It took 15 minutes max
I refused and called the company and asked to speak to the owner who refused to accept my call. They finally agreed to check at no charge because they probably knew they would make it up on the back end. Again, just guessing.
The price for the changing out the part under warranty? $4295.00. Yes, 4 thousand two hundred ninety five dollars.
Again, they agreed to a discount and offered to change out the part to $1905.00. Seriously? Great company to offer discounts like this
That did agree to pass along the $795 I just spent for a part I probably didn’t need the week before so the final price was $1595.
I called two other companies that agreed to do the same work for $400 to $600.
AA has the right to charge whatever they want. This after all, is America
All I trying to let everyone know is to call around and ask in advance what the service charge would be. The other two companies wanted $49 and $59.50 and I didn’t need to pay before the work started.
Also, when I tried to contact YORK and meet the the rep. She refused saying there was nothing she could do after one year. I guess there’s no Lemon law on AC’s
Think about that before you buy your next AC.
Never a YORK for me and never AA service and repair of North Florida.
I hope they challenge me on this because I have all this on invoices and will post if I can figure out how.
Sorry for the long post but there is more if they challenge me on this I will tell all.

My husband and I needed an AC repair quickly. We called AA Service and Repair. They sent someone out that same day, Joshua. Joshua was wonderful. He was able to repair our AC the same day. He was wonderful, explained what happened and how to prevent it going forward. We will definitely use AA Service and Repair going forward.
