Today happened to be one of the hottest days of the year as well as it being July 4th. I called Velocity Air, I actually got a live person, I spoke to Ashley and she the got their Super Tech Tim out to my home right away. He did his due diligence in checking my freon levels making sure everything was operating properly and then went inside the condenser box to find that the insulation was hanging down and it was creating more humidity in the condenser box as well as affecting the way the blower was operating. He refastened the insulation adjusted another part that was improperly installed from the beginning, he recognized it and fixed it instead of ignoring it as if it was not important. He closed up the box, sealed it tightly to keep any additional moisture and air out of it, cleaned up my condenser coils outside it made the inside of our house feel like an ice box again.

Way to go Tim, Way to go Velocity Air Conditioning better than any fireworks celebration. There's nothing like having air conditioning in July In Florida.

Sold us a sub-par AC unit (alliegance12) that seldom retails over $2,200.00 for about $10 K. Rusted out in 2 years - parts replacement under warranty, but labor is 50% of the cost for a whole new unit. I hope to sell these ppl a home improvement, at a 400% mark-up and stick em with excessive labor costs one day... Shame on me for trusting them, w/o proper due diligence.

We had an ac installed in my condo by these guys, and it was a less-than optimal experience. For starters, they failed to show up on time on the first day and it took them roughly three days to finally get the unit installed.

They had originally insisted they could do it in one day. When they finally did install it, the unit leaked all through our ceiling and walls and I had to suffer through yet another sweltering night until they could come out and fix it. The only reason there wasn't massive water damage to our property is because we caught it so early.

Then it turned out they failed to schedule the inspection; when we finally got the inspector out, the unit failed inspection. Now, scarcely a week and a half after the installation, the unit won't cool the house below 81.

UPDATE: The owner of Velocity, Tyler, reached out to me personally and worked with me to get the system up and running. The evening that the thermostat wouldn't cool below 81, he came out and put some more freon into the system, which more or less fixed the problem. He also tuned the system up so it would perform a little better. The AC still doesn't reach the intended temperature on really hot days, but at least it stays set at a habitable 76 now. As for the inspection -- it took a while to pass the inspection, but we recently passed it. Tyler is a good guy and he obviously cares about his business, but it was still a rocky ride. I would say that the experience was "fair" and not really "good," but two stars seems a little low for the effort Tyler put forth to fix the problem.

Velocity A/C arrived on-time and Cliff & Jason set to replace our aged 2011 Heating & Cooling system; they started their work and worked as a team (Cliff inside on the air handler, while Jason replaced the outside compressor components). Job was totally completed in about 5 hours, site was cleaned of all debris and old components removed - very efficient workers.

To date the system is quiet, efficient and seems to take less energy than the old unit. Velocity has earned my business into the future and I am proud to recommend them to everyone needing their expertise.

Paid Velocity to fix it Myself

I was pleased when the tech from Velocity arrived mid-morning on Friday. It had been two days of my a/c not keeping up with the afternoon temps and a cancellation from another company for health concerns. He spent some time at the outside unit and in the attic with the handler then told me I have a couple small leaks outside. Since the unit is still under factory parts warranty he quoted $2000 to replace the outside coil or $6000 for a full system replacement. I asked if topping off the Freon would buy some time to decide what to do. He agreed that it would and topped it off. Within an hour of him leaving it was 79 inside with the thermostat set at 76. I called the office where I was told the tech would call me back. I called my first choice in vendors and reviewed everything with him. He immediately told me it wasn’t a Freon issue and walked me through diagnosing my thermostat and then into the attic to check my float valve. I pulled the float valve to find water to the top. I cleared the line and everything’s been fine since. The tech did try to call me back a couple times, but I was busy fixing it myself. That’s the last return call I’ve received from Velocity Air. I called to the office again that afternoon and advised them I was displeased with paying $271.00 to fix my own air conditioner. The response was that everyone was busy and someone would call me back. Fast forward a week to Thursday and still no call back so I made another call. I managed to get the service manager. I voiced my concern and let him know that I’m not looking for a full refund but certainly feel that I was overcharged and would appreciate something back. His response was that he would review this with his tech and get back to me tomorrow afternoon. Guess what? It’s now tomorrow and it’s 5:00pm. Crickets....

We purchased not one but two heat pump units recently, two weeks apart, after our 30-year-old system's fan quit. Then about a week later, the 20-year-old system quit. Technician Drew Woolhiser made sure that everything got done, going so far as to give us his personal cell phone number to call if we ran into trouble. Through no fault of our own, Velocity was unable to complete the install on the first unit. The installer threatened to not activate the system unless we paid the balance due before they left the first day. Drew intervened and our system was activated. Workers showed up the next day to finish up. Knowing that Drew went out of his way to make ensure success, we invited him back to check out the malfunctioning second unit. It made more sense to replace it, and lead installer Kenneth Danielson went the extra mile to get everything working to our satisfaction. I do recommend Velocity, despite their several scheduling hitches and missing accessories.

Called Velocity this morning, and Bill Snyder, the technician, came quickly & could not have been more helpful. Turns out my AC is working properly & didn't need any service. Its just really hot in the afternoon and the unit is doing the best it can. He explained that installing insulated windows, and more insulation in the attic would help. Plus, if and when I get a new AC unit, he gave me several quotes, for new units, that will cut my power bill in half. Best $49.00 I ever spent!

I got that dreaded call from my wife saying the AC unit is not working and the house is heating up, I went online and Velocity Air had great reviews. After speaking with a very nice lady on the phone she took my information and had a tech call me and come out after hours to check it out. The tech explain it was cheaper and more cost effective to replace the unit, I got a GREAT PRICE and the next day at 10 am the guy showed up and installed and brand new unit, new wires, new pad, everything was done exceptionally well and the installers Victor & Javier were so respectful, neat and even swept out my garage when they were done! Two thumbs up great company highly recommendable!!

I can't say enough about the service I received. The techs, Chad and Tim were very courteous and certainly knowledgeable about my Carrier AC and the problem I was experiencing. They were very thorough and professional during the 3 hour repair job (even wearing booties so as not to dirty the inside of my home floors)! Chad took the time to explain the issues and clearly itemizing the repair costs before actually starting the work. Pricing was honest and fair.

Customer service was clearly their priority and a reflection on the company's objective. I would certainly recommend them for your AC care. I'm sold. In fact, I've signed up for their annual maintenance program.

My 20 year old AC unit was making loud noises and stopped cooling around 2pm on Friday. I called Velocity and they had a tech on site in an hour or so. I was panicked because its summer and my house is already HOT. I Needed to replace my entire unit ASAP. Velocity installed a brand new AC unit next day on (Saturday). They even installed a few mobile AC units in our rooms so we could sleep comfortably that night. The techs were on time and did a great job. I am very happy with my new 5 ton Trane Unit. Velocity really delivered for my Family
