Hillside Oil Heating & Cooling

I wish I could give no stars to this company. Do not believe the ads that you see when you go to the movie theater. Our heat went out on 12/27 during a really bad cold snap. First we called another company who came right out and gave us an estimate that we thought was a little high so we called Hillside for a second opinion. The tech who came out came in and saw the litter boxes we had in the basement and immediately pulled his shirt over his face and said "That will put me in the hospital". Ok, so if you are a service tech for a living, don't you make sure dispatch checks to see if the home has cats if you are so deathly allergic? I believe he was saying he was allergic to the litter though which I've never heard of. But anyway he goes out to his truck to call in and whine and i guess they told him he needed to finish the call because he came back in, wrote down the model number of our furnace and then stated they wouldn't be able to get the part until after the New year on 1/2. So we had to go through a long holiday weekend with no heat but ok, if that is what has to happen then we'll wait. We went and bought a bunch of space heaters. So Tuesday comes, no call from Hillside. On Wed my husband calls in to find out when the part will be in and dispatch responds that "Our tech is not available for that residence"! Won't give any specific reason why or even send out a different tech. And also had no plans to call us and tell us they didn't want to do the job! I can't emphasize enough that no one should use this company. Their customer service is atrocious. Apparently they make enough money that they don't need to worry about pleasing their customers or making sure they have good word of mouth. Please don't support this business there are many other local business who deserve our support and would appreciate it!

Just had a preventive maintenance by Hillside. Truly outstanding are the words that come to me. When I heard that "everything was fine" was music to my ears. I appreciate the honesty.
The technician was also truly outstanding.

We received a prompt response. Mike, our technician, was very knowledgeable and courteous. I will definitely return to Hillside for future services.

Great services and Mike was excellent explaining what was wrong with our system and how he was going to remedy the problem. The Price was reasonable for the repair.
He was very friendly and familiar with pets which is a plus.
