We’d been customers for 20+ years, but not anymore. Billed 3 hours ($600+!) to do routine AC maintenance and coil cleaning, it used to take less than an hour. Outrageous. Didn’t bring any coil cleaner -- in August, for an AC maintenance call -- so they charged us to drive to Hartford and back to pick some up. Wouldn’t even give us the rest of the cleaner we’d paid for afterward. When asked about the hours, we were told that billing starts from the time they leave their HQ. So the farther away you live, the more you have to pay? Very sad to see a once great company decline so far.
Absolutely fantastic service. I called the people who did my other HVAC needs on my new home but they couldn't service my hot forced air furnace and sent me to Hi Point and I couldn't have been happier with the service I received. I called on Monday morning and they had an opening that day and I had heat that night. Super fast, super professional, work on an hourly rate which worked for me since he was able to diagnose and repair in under an hour. I will 100% use them again.
I would never recommend this company - ever. Their employee backed into our wrought iron driveway column causing $3,200 in damage. As we argued with their insurance company to pay for damages, HiPoint wanted their bill paid in full prior to claim being settled. When that didn’t happen, they placed a Mechanics Lien on house. It took intervention of CT Insurance Department to get case resolved in our favor and we had to pay HiPoint $350 in fees to remove lien plus full payment of bill. Beware of this company’s bad business practices and customer service.
The reception and both techs Adam and Andy were very efficient and professional. They were responsive and got us back up and running quickly. They called me to follow up the morning of the job and told me exactly what time to expect them. Also, our manager texted me and said “It’s working better than it ever has. He said that the unit on the roof and the thermostat in the room we’re not reading correctly for some reason. And he did something to make it work better. But I have to tell you he was more kind and more knowledgeable than anyone is ever coming here to do any work on the unit. Amazing job!”
This is the worst company I've ever had to deal with! They couldn't help me out on an emergency call when I needed them. I still wanted to try to work with them and had an appointment scheduled for a week. The morning of the scheduled appointment I called to confirm that they were still coming out between the hours of 8:30-9 as they advised me just to be told that they have to reschedule due to emergency calls that they had. The guy I spoke with was very rude and stated "If you had an emergency we would try to work with you" My response was I did have an emergency last week and they didn't help me. I also asked if anyone was planning to let me know that they were NOT coming out since I called at 8:15 am to confirm myself and a tech was supposed to be there in 15 minutes all he responded was "I have a list of people to call and you are in that list". This man was very rude and obnoxious and stated "So just look for someone else don't call us ever again." The customer service in this company is horrible and the lack of priority is mind bottling. I will never do business with this company need I say I manage more than 200 apartments! I will NEVER recommend this company to anyone. The way I see it, it's their loss as with all the apartments I manage they would've came out with a great contract! Their Loss! I just hope they get the workers some customer service skills. Just completely disgusted!
Have used HiPoint for installation of new system and subsequently for service. Their work in top notch. Always on time and reasonable as rates go today.
